ABSTRACTThis study aimed the examine the effect of accountability and transparency in the management Activity Plans and Budgets School (RKAS) either simultaneously or partially on the participation of parents in education funding. The research was conducted on the entire SMA (Senior High School) in Banda Aceh. Types of research used in this study is hypothesis testing.The method used in this study is the census. The population in this study was the school and the school committee. The data collection techniques using primary data in the form of as many as 224 copies of the questionnaire respondents consisting of the school and the parents on the whole SMAN in Banda Aceh. Hypothesis testing was conducted using multiple linear regression.Results of this study showed that accountability and trasparency in the management RKAS simultaneously or partially affects the participation of parents in education financing in the city of Banda Aceh.Keywords: accountability, transparency, and participation in education funding.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh akuntabilitas dan transparansi pengelolaan RKAS (Rencana Kegiatan dan Anggaran Sekolah) baik secara bersama-sama maupun secara parsial terhadap partisipasi orang tua murid dalam pembiayaan pendidikan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada seluruh SMAN (Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri) di Kota Banda Aceh. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengujian hipotesis.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sensus. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah pihak sekolah dan komite sekolah. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan data primer berupa kuesioner sebanyak 224 eksemplar kepada responden yang terdiri dari pihak sekolah dan orang tua murid pada seluruh SMAN di Kota Banda Aceh. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan metode regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa akuntabilitas dan transparansi pengelolaan RKAS secara bersama-sama maupun parsial berpengaruh terhadap partisipasi orang tua murid dalam pembiayaan pendidikan di Kota Banda Aceh.Kata Kunci : akuntabilitas, transparansi, dan partisipasi pembiayaan pendidikan.
