Prevalensi penderita skizofrenia sekitar 0,2% hingga 2%, sedangkan insidensi atau kasus baru yang muncul tiap tahun sekitar 0,01%. Ada beberapa hal yang bisa memicu kekambuhan skizofrenia, salah satunya adalah tidak rutinnya pasien melakukan kontrol ulang sesuai dengan manajemen terapi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan motivasi pasien skizofrenia dalam melakukan kontrol ulang di Poliklinik Rawat Jalan Rumah Sakit Jiwa Aceh Tahun 2015. Desain penelitian ini bersifat korelatif dengan sampel 98 responden, menggunakan tekhnik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada tanggal 22-29 Juni 2015, dengan alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu kuesioner yang dilakukan dengan cara wawancara terpimpin. Analisa data menggunakan uji Chi-Square Test (X2). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan pengetahuan (p=0,044) ; sikap (p=0,001) ; harapan (p=0,008) ; lingkungan (p=0,016) ; dukungan keluarga (p=0,003) ; dan sosial ekonomi (p=0,002) dengan motivasi pasien dalam melakukan kontrol ulang di Poliklinik Rawat Jalan Rumah Sakit Jiwa Aceh. Hasil penelitian ini disarankan bagi pihak rumah sakit untuk dapat memberikan penyuluhan bagi pasien dan keluarganya tentang skizofrenia dan dampak yang ditimbulkan apabila tidak rutin melakukan kontrol ulang sehingga mengurangi pasien dirawat karena relapse akibat kontrol ulang yang tidak teratur. WHO estimates that there are approximately 450 million people in the world experiencing mental health disorders, with a prevalence of schizophrenic about 0.2% to 2%, while the incidence or new cases appear every year around 0.01%. There are several things that can trigger a relapse of schizophrenia, one of which is non adherenceof the patients to follow regular checkup in accordance with the therapymanagement, this happens because there are several factors that influence the motivation of the patient to perform the check up on a regular basis. The objective of this study was to determine the factors associated with schizophrenia patient motivation in performing the regular check up in the Outpatient Policlinic of Aceh Mental Hospital in 2015. This research used descriptive correlational design.Total samples, collectedby using purposive sampling technique, were98 people. Data collection was conducted from June22 to 29, 2015.Data were collected by using questionnaires with guided interview. Chi-square test (X2) was used to process the data. The result showed that there was no correlation between knowledge (p = 0.044); attitude (p = 0.001); expectations (p = 0.008); environment (p = 0.016); family support (p = 0.003); and socioeconomic (p = 0.002) with the motivation of patients in performingregular checkup in Outpatient Clinic of Aceh Mental Hospital. The results of this research are expected to provide information and consideration for the hospital in making policies and solutions that can minimize the patient's lack of motivation in performing regular checkup in order to improve service quality and health status of patients with psychiatric problems.
