Salah satu perbedaan tersebut dapat dilihat dari gaya belajar mahasiswa. Gaya belajar merupakan cara termudah yang dimiliki oleh seseorang dalam menyerap dan mengolah informasi yang diterima sehingga mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Motivasi belajar mendorong mahasiswa untuk lebih bersemangat dalam melakukan kegiatan belajar, menentukan arah perbuatan serta menyeleksi perbuatan yang bermanfaat dalam mencapai hasil belajar yang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan gaya belajar dengan motivasi belajar pada mahasiswa KBK Fakultas Keperawatan Unsyiah. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa KBK Fakultas Keperawatan Unsyiah yang berjumlah 246 orang. Sedangkan sampel penelitian diambil dengan stratified random sampling yaitu sebanyak 90 orang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian korelasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada bulan Juni 2015 dan instrumen penelitian berbentuk angket dengan skala Likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 29 responden (65,9%) dengan motivasi belajar tinggi dan lebih didominasi oleh gaya belajar visual. Dari hasil analisa bivariat pada variabel gaya belajar dan motivasi belajar didapatkan nilai P-value 0.023 yang berarti terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara gaya belajar dengan motivasi belajar mahasiswa KBK Fakultas Keperawatan Unsyiah Banda Aceh. One of those differences can be seen from learning style of students. Learning style is a the easiest way owned by a person in absorbing and processing obtained information so that it can increase learning motivation of students. Learning motivation encourages the students to be more motivated in doing learning activities, deciding the direction of an action, and selecting the useful actions in achieving an optimum results of learning. This research aimed to find out the relation of learning style with learning motivation on the students of (KBK) in the Nursing Faculty of Syiah Kuala University. The pupolation of this research was all students of KBK in the Nursing Syiah Kuala University. The population of this research was all students of KBK in the Nursing Faculty of Syiah Kuala University, totaling 246 persons. The sample of this research was selected through a stratified random sampling with 90 persons as the number of samples. The method of research used was a correlative research method. The collection of data was conducted in June of 2015 and the instrument of research was Likert scale questionnaires. The results of reseach showed that most respondents were dominated by visual learning style for 44 persons (48,9%) and the mojority of students had a high motivation for 50 persons (55,6%). From the result of bivariate analysis on the variable of learning style and learning motivation, P-value 0,023 was resulted and it meant that there was a significant relation between learning style and learning motivation on the students of KBK in the Nursing Faculty of Syiah Kuala University in Banda Aceh. The result of this research showed that the adjustment of teaching styles/strategies with students learning style plays an important role in increasing the learning motivation of students. Researchers suggest that students can understand thelearning styles KBK is right for him so that the learning process can use strategiesthat fit with the style of learning that is owned and then can increase studentmotivation to learn optimally.Key words : Learning Style, Learning Motivation, and Nursing StudentsReferences : 30 Books + 7 Journals + 14 online resources (2000-2014)
