ANALISA DAN PEMBARUAN APLIKASI PAPERLESS OFFICE UNSYIAH

ABSTRAKPaperless office (PLO) adalah aplikasi berbasis web yang dibangun untukmengelola sistem administrasi sehingga dapat mengatur dan mempermudahpengaksesan informasi yang ada. Tujuan dari PLO adalah untuk mengurangipenggunaan kertas, mempercepat komunikasi antar pengguna, mempermudahpengarsipan dokumen dan mengorganisir informasi dalam bentuk file digital. Sejaktanggal 2 Januari 2013, Rektorat Universitas Syiah Kuala telah menerapkan sistemPLO dalam pengolahan administrasi surat menyurat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmenganalisis sistem dari aplikasi PLO di Rektorat Universitas Syiah Kuala untukmengetahui alur sistem dari aplikasi, kendala, kekurangan dan kelebihannya.Analisis dilakukan terhadap source code pada aplikasi PLO versi 1.0, kemudianmemperbarui aplikasi PLO ke tampilan baru yang lebih responsif dan menambahfitur-fitur baru yang belum ada pada aplikasi PLO versi 1.0. Hasil dari pembaruanaplikasi PLO versi 2.0 kemudian diuji coba kepada pengguna PLO untukmengetahui tingkat kepuasan pengguna, kualitas sistem, kualitas layanan dan opinipengguna tentang aplikasi PLO versi 2.0.Kata Kunci: Paperless office (PLO), HTML5, CSS3, PHP5, jQuery, Bootstrap,object oriented programming (OOP), refactoring.ABSTRACTPaperless Office (PLO) is a web-based application to manage administrative andfacilitate accessing existing information. The goal of the PLO is to reduce paperusage, speed up the communication between users, facilitate archiving ofdocuments and organize information in the form of digital files. Since January 2nd2013, the Rector Office of Syiah Kuala University has implemented PLO as thecorrespondence system. This study aims to analyze the PLO system flow from theadministrative office of Syiah Kuala University and find out the constraints,shortages, and the benefits of PLO application. The source code of PLO applicationversion 1.0 was analyzed and the code refactoring was performed to produce moreresponsive application features. Furthermore, the new PLO version 2.0 applicationis tested by PLO users to determine the level of user satisfaction, system quality,service quality and user opinions.Keyword: Paperless office (PLO), HTML5, CSS3, PHP5, jQuery, Bootstrap, objectoriented programming (OOP), refactoring.
