Penelitian terdiri dari 2 faktor. Faktor pertama adalah pengaruh pupuk kandang kotoran ayam yang terdiri dari P0 (0 g/polibag), P1 (10 g/polibag), P2 (20 g/polibag). Faktor kedua mengkaji tentang pengaruh pemberian biochar yang terdiri dari B0 (0 g/polibag), B1 (10 g/polibag), B2 (20 g/polibag). Peubah yang diamati antara lain tinggi setek nilam umur 30, 45 dan 60 HST, jumlah daun umur 30, 45 dan 60 HST, jumlah tunas 30, 45 dan 60 HST, bobot basah, bobot kering. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pupuk kandang kotoran ayam berpengaruh nyata pada tinggi setek nilam umur 30 HST, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi setek umur 45, 60 HST, jumlah daun umur 30, 45, 60 HST, jumlah tunas 30, 45, 60 HST, bobot basah dan bobot kering. Pada penelitian ini digunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan lima perlakuan empat ulangan. Perlakuan yang dimaksud adalah P0 tidak diberikan pupuk kascing pada tanaman perlakuan, P1 dosis pupuk kascing 1 kg/tanaman, P2 dosis pupuk kascing 2 kg/tanaman, P3 dosis pupuk kascing 3 kg/tanaman, P4 dosis pupuk kascing 4 kg/tanaman. Variabel yang diamati adalah pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman tomat, yang meliputi parameter tinggi batang (cm), jumlah daun (helai), dan jumlah cabang. Analisis statistik menggunakan ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk kascing berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman tomat dan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk kascing yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman tomat adalah 3 kg/tanaman (P3). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian pupuk kascing berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman tomat(Lycopersicum esculentum Mill) dan dosis pupuk kascing yang terbaik untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman tomat (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill) ialah dengan memberikan pupuk kascing 3 kg/tanaman. Results of research showed that compost significantly affected seedling growth of betel palm. The best dosage of compost for the seedling growth was 1.5 kg per seedling. Urea fertilizer also significantly affected seedling growth of betel palm. The best dosage of urea for the seedling growth was 1.5 g per seedling. Sistem pertanian organik merupakan sistem pertanian yang selaras dengan alam, yaitu dengan mengembalikan siklus ekologi dalam suatu areal pertanian sehingga membentuk suatu aliran siklik yang seimbang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan UPT. University Farm Universitas Syiah Kuala Station Riset 2 Ie Seum, Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli sampai Oktober 2012. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial 3 x 2 dengan 3 ulangan yang terdiri dari dua faktor, yaitu pupuk kompos yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu: K0 (tanpa penggunaan pupuk kompos), K1 (pupuk kompos 10 ton ha-1), dan K2 (pupuk kompos 20 ton ha-1). Faktor kedua adalah varietas yang terdiri dari 2 varietas yaitu: V1 (Varietas Anjasmoro) dan V2 (Varietas Wilis). Pengamatan dilakukan terhadap 10 sampel tanaman dari populasi tanaman per bedeng, yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah dan bobot polong bernas, bobot biji kering, bobot biji 100 butir dan hasil kedelai. Hasil tertinggi diperoleh dengan perlakuan kompos 20 ton ha-1 pada varietas Anjasmoro (2,338 ton ha-1), kemudian varietas Wilis (2,075 ton ha-1). Pada perlakuan kompos 10 ton ha-1, hasil tertinggi terdapat pada varietas Wilis (1,391 ton ha-1) kemudian Anjasmoro (1,223 ton ha-1). The experiment used a factorial randomized complete block design 4 x 3 with 3 replications. Factors studied were concentrations of organic fertilizer Super Nasa, consisting of 4 levels: 0, 5, 10, 15 g/L of water and types of organic mulches, consisting of three levels: printing newspaper, bagasse, and paddy stalk. Results showed that the concentrations of organic fertilizer Super Nasa exerted highly significant effects on dried grain weight per plot netto and dried seed weight per hectare and exerted a significant effect on plant height 45 day after planting, but exerted no significant effect on other variables. The best growth and yield of soybean were found at a concentration of organic fertilizers Super Nasa 10 g/L of water. Types of organic mulches did not affect all variables observed. However, Soybean yield was apparently better at printing newspaper. The aim of this research was to study effect on Nasa organic fertilizer concentration and atonik growth regulator on growth and yield ground peanut. The experimental design was completely block randomized design with two factor and three replications. The two factor investigated were Nasa liquid organic fertilizer concentration (1 ml/l, 2 ml/l, 3 ml/l of water) and Atonik growth regulator concentration (1 ml/l, 2 ml/l, 3 ml/l of water). Result showed that Nasa organic liquid fertilizer concentration highly significant different affected on plant height 45 and 60 days after planting and significant different on dry seed weight per plot netto and 100 g dry seed. The best result of Nasa liquid organic fertilizer concentration was 3 ml/l. Atonik growth regulator concentration showed highly significant different effect on plant height 60 DAP and significant effect on plant height 45 DAP. The best Atonik concentration was 3 ml/l. Penelitian ini merupakan suatu penelitian eksperimental, dengan menggunakan desain penelitian rancangan acak lengkap (RAL). Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Januari 2014 di Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan Universitas Syiah Kuala Darussalam-Banda Aceh. Sampel peneitian ini adalah Mus musculus sebanyak 24 ekor yang dikelompokkan menjadi 4 kelompok, yakni kontrol negatif (P1), kelompok yang diberikan rebusan daun sukun 20% (P2), 40% (P3), dan 60% (P4). Analisa data yang digunakan adalah Uji one way ANOVA dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95%.
