The experiment aimed to determine the effect of using Noni fruit powder (NFP) up to 10 percent in the ration on digestive organs weight of male broiler chickens fed commercial feed. A hundred day old male broiler chickens were used in this experiment. Chickens were divided into five treatment groups; R0 (control, chickens fed commercial feed without offering NFP), R1 (the ration contained 2.5 % of NFP), R2 (the ration contained 5 % of NFP), R3 (the ration contained 7.5 % of NFP) and R4 (the ration contained 10 % of NFP). Each treatment group was replicated 4 times. Chickens were housed in the colony cages where 5 chickens each. The ration and drinking water were offered ad libitum. Parameters measured were feed intake, slaughter weight, gizzard weight, liver weight, small intestine weight and length. The results showed that using Noni fruit powder in the ration up to 10 percent caused no significant different effect on all parameters. It concluded that Noni fruit powder can be mixed into the ration up to 10 percent without any adverse effect on the digestive organs.</text>

The present study was conducted to determine the effect of Noni (Morinda citrifolia) fruit juice in drinking water on male broiler chicken performance. The study used 100 male broiler chicken at 3 days of age strain Platinum MB 202 produced by PT. Multi Breeder Adhirama Indonesia (Grup PT Jafpa Comfeed Indonesia) Bandar Lampung. The study was assigned into The Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments and 4 replications. Chicken were housed in 20 unit colony cages in size 100 x 50 x 50 cm each. The treatments were level of noni fruit juice in drinking water; R0 (control, chicken were not drunk noni fruit juice), R1 (chicken drank water contained 2,5% noni fruit juice), R2 (chicken drank water contained 5% noni fruit juice), R3 (chicken drank water contained 7,5% noni fruit juice) and R4 (chicken drank water contained 10% noni fruit juice). Chicken fed similar ration containing 23.58% crude protein and 3943 kkal/kg gross energy. The selected noni fruit were mature fruit or has color white yellowish. Ration and drinking water were offered ad libitum. During the experiment, chicken were vaccinated only by Vaccine ND on 4 days of age. Chicken were kept for 4 weeks. Parameters measured were feed consumption, drinking water consumption, body weight gain and feed conversion ratio. Collected data were analyzed by analysis of variance and significant effect on the parameters were tested by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. Result of this study showed that there was not significant (P>0,05) effect noni fruit juice in drinking water on feed consumption, drinking water consumption, body weight gain and feed conversion ratio. It is concluded that noni fruit juice could be mixed into the drinking water of broiler chicken up to 10%.</text>

<text>Broiler chicken performance feed ration containing pineapple peel meal and supplemented by yoghurtABSTRACT. An experiment was conducted to determine the broiler performance feed ration contained pineapple peel meal supplemented by yoghurt. A hundred broiler chickens 2 days old were used in this study those divided into 4 treatment groups and kept for 4 weeks. The treatments were level of pineapple peel meal (PPM) into the ration; P0 = ration without PPM, P1 = ration contained 5 % of PPM, P2 = ration contained 10 % of PPM and P3 = ration contained 15 % of PPM. To neutralize high crude fiber content in the ration, chickens were supplemented by yoghurt consisted 3,3 x 108 CFU/ml of Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus as much as 3 ml/kg body weight. Yoghurt was offered in the morning before feeding. Each treatment was replicated 5 times. The experiment was assigned into Completely Randomized Design with 4 treatments and 5 replications. Parameters were feed consumption, water consumption, body weight gain and feed conversion ratio. Data were analyzed by Analysis of variance (ANOVA) and significantly effect was tested by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. Results of this study showed that there was no significant difference (P>0.05) among 0, 5, and 10 % the treatment groups on feed consumption, water consumption, body weight gain and feed conversion ratio. Offered 15 % of pineapple peel to the chickens did not significantly (P<0.05) increased feed consumption and conversion ratio but did not significantly (P>0.05) decreased body weight gain. It is concluded that pineapple peel meal might be mixed into the broiler chicken ration up to 10 % without any significant adverse effect on performance when they were supplemented by yoghurt as much as 3 ml/kg of body weight.</text>

<text>ABSTRAK. Infectiveness and Effectiveness of Mycorrhizae in the Some Host Plants and Source of InoculumABSTRACT. This research aims to study the types of host plants and source of inoculum is best in the manufacture of mycorrhizal biofertilizer. The study was conducted at the home screen Unsyiah Faculty of Agriculture, Soil Biology Laboratory at USU College of Agriculture and Soil Chemistry Laboratory at the Faculty of Agriculture Unsyiah since July 2011 to November 2011. This research used randomized completely block design (RCBD) factorial with two factors and three replications. Factors studied are several types of host plants and some types of sources of inoculum. Variety of host factors consist: kudzu, soybean, and corn and factors source of inoculum consisted of: spore origin rhizosfer kudju, rhizosfer spores from soybean, and spores rhizosfer origin of maize. Variables observed in this study is the degree of mycorrhizal infection, plant P uptake. From the research results obtained can be concluded that there is interaction between host plant species with the type of source of inoculum of mycorrhizal infectivity and effectiveness. The best treatment of the parameters of the degree of mycorrhizal infection (infectivity of mycorrhizal) and plant P uptake (mycorrhizal effectiveness) is a combination of host plant kudzu to the source of spore inoculum origin rhizosfer kudzu.</text>

Micro minerals and heavy metals were analyzed using atomic absorption spectrofotometric (AAS). The results showed that the highest levels of micro minerals were found at weight ±150 g (6.95±0.16 mg of zinc/kg of dry basis, copper 0.55±0.01 mg/kg of dry basis , and iron 12.14±0.06 mg/kg of dry basis. The highest iodine content contain was found at weight 102 g ± is 76.33±0.01 mg/100g of dry basis. The concentrations obtained in lead was 0.143±0.0057 mg/kg, cadmium was 0.0433±0.011 mg/kg, and mercury was 0.143±0.0057 mg/kg of dry basis,. The heavy metals level from Tanjung Pasir Tangerang District are safe to be comsumed since it is still below the limit for food savety.</text>
