Sebanyak 625 gram serbuk daun pegagan dimaserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol diperoleh 236 gram ekstrak kental etanol. Sebanyak 100 gram ekstrak kental etanol difraksinasi menggunakan pelarut etil asetat diperoleh 37 gram ekstrak kental etil asetat. Uji skrining fitokimia ekstrak kental etanol dan etil asetat daun pegagan menunjukkan positif adanya senyawa flavonoid. Pada uji KLT didapatkan eluen terbaik yaitu kloroform:metanol (9:1) v/v untuk pemisahan senyawa flavonoid menggunakan kromatografi kolom sehingga diperoleh 116 fraksi etanol dan 136 fraksi etil asetat, kemudian dilakukan uji KLT untuk penggabungan fraksi. Masing-masing fraksi gabungan etanol dan etil asetat daun pegagan diuji skrining fitokimia dan KLT sehingga fraksi yang mengandung senyawa flavonoid dipekatkan dan diperoleh 4 dan 4,8 gram isolat etanol dan etil asetat daun pegagan. Hasil spektrum IR isolat etanol daun pegagan memberikan serapan didaerah 3397,540; 2976,829; 1636,989; 1447,170; 1215,653; 1026,496 dan 778,261 cm-1. Analisis spektrum IR isolat etil asetat daun pegagan memberikan serapan didaerah 3463,591; 2976,890; 1727,613; 1445,781; 1243,318; 990,984 dan 789,872 cm-1. Berdasarkan hasil analisis spektrum IR isolat etanol dan etil asetat daun pegagan terdapat gugus O-H, C-H alifatik, C=C aromatik, C=O, C-O dan C-H aromatik sehingga pada daun pegagan diduga mengandung senyawa luteolin turunan senyawa flavon. Uji aktivitas antioksidan pada massa 50 mg masing-masing isolat etanol dan etil asetat daun pegagan diperoleh 19,57 dan 18,00 mg total fenol dan persentase reducing power sebesar 21,24 dan 19,49%. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2014. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode garis transek dengan teknik sampling kuadrat. Pengambilan data lamun dibagi menjadi 4 stasiun dimana setiap stasiun terdapat tiga transek sebagai ulangan sepanjang 100 meter, transek dibentangkan tegak lurus dari garis pantai sampai ke arah tubir dengan jarak antar transek dengan transek berikut berkisar 100 meter, indentifikasi lamun mengacu pada indentifikasi lamun Indonesia dengan mengamati bentuk daun, rizoma dan akar sejati. Jenis lamun yang ditemukan di Pulau Matahari yaitu Cymodocea serrulata, Cymodocea rotundata, Enhalus acoroides, Syringodium isoetifolium, dan Thalassia hemprichii. Kerapatan lamun tertinggi dari jenis Enhalus acoroides dan yang terendah dari jenis Cymodocea serrulata. Total individu lamun tertinggi dari empat stasiun terdapat di stasiun 3 yaitu 314,8 ind /m2, sedangkan kerapatan lamun terendah terdapat di stasiun 2 yaitu 204,3 ind /m2. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen (ekperimen semu) dengan populasi siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Karang Baru Aceh Tamiang. Sampel penelitian diambil menggunakan teknik acak sehingga diperoleh kelas XI IPA 1 yang berjumlah 30 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 2 yang berjumlah 28 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol . Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes hasil belajar (25 butir pilihan berganda) pada materi usaha dan energi. Hasil analisis data menggunakan Uji-t dua pihak, diperoleh hasil belajar hasil belajar kelas eksperimen berbeda dengan hasil belajar kelas kontrol dengan thitung = 5,17 > ttabel = 2,00 pada taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar fisika siswa kelas XI yang diajarkan menggunakan media Macromedia Flash dan Microsoft Powerpoint di SMA Negeri 1 Karang Baru.
