Creator An entity primarily responsible for making the resource Rita Damayanti Description An account of the resource The speaking performance of the first year students at SMP Negeri 6 Banda Aceh is low (average score = 5.45) due to the inappropriate technique in the process of learning speaking. A specific treatment needs to be made to overcome such problematic condition in order to improve students? speaking performance. This study aims to enhance students? speaking performance through the application of language games technique. It focuses on the students? performance on expressing the idea on simple short monolog in form of descriptive text specifically on describing person. This study used an experimental method with pre-test and post-test experimental and control group design (N = 20). The data were collected by using tests as the instrument. The raw scores then were tabulated statistically by using t- test. The result of hypothesis testing of this study showed that students? speaking performance in descriptive text is significantly improved (8.28 t-count > 1.68 t- table). In conclusion, the study has demonstrated that the treatment activities have developed the students? interest and ability to speak and to expose the target language. The least but not last, the activities increased their motivation to learn the target language as well. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling, ada 7 bank syariah di Indonesia dan 11 bank syariah di Malaysia yang memenuhi kriteria. Gaya belajar tidak hanya kegiatan seperti melihat, mendengar, menulis, dan berkata, tetapi juga aspek dalam mengolah informasi, dan merespon sesuatu secara abstrak dan konkret. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gaya belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika dan pengaruh gaya belajar terhadap hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Banda Aceh. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif sertapopulasi seluruh siswa kelas VIII yang terdiri dari 8 kelas, untuk pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan mengunakan teknik random sampling, sehingga terpilih kelas VIII_7 yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengobservasi aktivitas belajar siswa ketika proses pembelajaran matematika berlangsung, dan memberikan angket gaya belajar kepada siswa diakhir pembelajaran, serta dokumentasi nilai ulangan matematika siswa pada materi aljabar. Data penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa 65,62% siswa memiliki gaya belajar visual, 25% siswa memiliki gaya belajar auditorial, dan 9,37% siswamemiliki gaya belajar kinestetik. Selanjutnya, data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji statistik distribusi chi kuadrat B K untuk data observasi dan angket siswa. Sedangkan untuk pengujian hipotesis digunakan uji dengan kriteria, jika x2hitung > x2tabelpada taraf signifikan ? = 5%, maka hipotesis diterima dan sebaliknya, jika x2hitung ? x2tabelpada taraf signifikan ? = 5%, maka hipotesis ditolak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan x2hitungsebesar 11,48 dan x2tabelsebesar 9,49 sehingga x2hitung > x2tabeloleh karena itu hipotesis diterima, artinya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan gaya belajar terhadap hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Banda Aceh.
