Percobaan  ini menggunakan 45 ekor doc ayam broiler , perlakuan baru diberikan pada umur 25 hari. Pengujian dilakukan pada 3 kelompok, yaitu kelompok P0: tanpa pemberian ekstrak air daun bandotan (kontrol); Kelompok P1 dan P2 diberi ekstrak air daun bandotan masing-masing pada dosis 1,5 ml dan 3 ml dengan dicekokkan melalui oral selama 6 hari. Pada hari ke-7 dilakukan pengambilan data. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui rata- rata persentase karkas71,8% (K) ; 72,3% (P1) ; 72,1%(P2). Analisis sidik ragam menunjukkan bahwa persentase karkas tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05) dipengaruhi oleh pemberian ekstrak daun bandotan. Sedangkan rata-rata persentase lemak abdomen 1,6% (kontrol); 1,5% (P1); 1,4% (P2) hasil analisis juga tidak menunjukkan perbedaan nyata dikarenakan pemberian ekstrak daun bandotan dengan nilai P>0,05. Rata-rata angka Total Plate Count (TPC) masing-masing perlakuan adalah 8,3 x 105 CFU/ml (K) ; 7,6 X 105 CFU/ml (P1) ; 6,4 x 105 CFU/ml (P2). Walau hasil analisis sidik ragam untuk TPC tidak menunjukkan perbedaan nyata dengan nilai P > 0,05. tetapi dari angka rata-rata memiliki kecendrungan menurun. The method used to inhibit the metabolic processes in tomatoes can be overcome by controlled atmosphere storage. However, this method requires a high cost. Therefore there is another method that is more practical and economical to imitate the mechanism of the controlled atmosphere is by the use of coating materials (coating). Coating material must be able to form a barrier layer of the loss of water content and can maintain fruit quality and does not pollute the environment. Chitosan is a natural alternative as a coating material that is non-toxic and safe for health. This study aimed to observe the effect of chitosan coating on quality and shelf life of fresh tomatoes at different maturity levels. The study design used was completely randomized design (CRD) factorial with two factors. The factor I was the maturity stages which consisted of 3 (three) levels : K1 = full green (0-10% red skin), K2 = light red (30-60% red skin), K3 = ripe ( > 70% red skin). Factor II is storage duration which consisted of 5 (five) level : P1 = 0 day, P2 = 5 days, P3 = 10 days, P4 = 15 days, P5 = 20 days, with 2 (two) replications. The analysis conducted on tomatoes were weight loss, solusble solids concentration, total acid, and vitamin C. The results showed that the tomatoes were coated chitosan could inhibit weight loss, soluble solids concentration, total acid, and vitamin C than untreated tomatoes (control). Chitosan coating with a concentration of 1% and a long soaking for 10 minutes on the tomatoes with the maturity stages of 0-10% skin red and 30-60% skin red could maintain in good condition for 20 days of storage. Banyaknya pergerakan setiap hari yang dilakukan oleh penduduk akan mengakibatkan naiknya volume kendaraan sedang kapasitas jalan tetap. Perjalanan dengan tujuan belajar merupakan aktivitas utama dan rutin dilakukan oleh penduduk setiap harinya. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, maka dilakukan penelitian tentang pemodelan dan mengidentifikasi faktor sosio-ekonomi yang mempengaruhi besarnya bangkitan pergerakan yang dilakukan oleh pelajar. Penelitian ini mengambil lokasi pada Kecamatan Meuraxa Kota Banda Aceh dengan objek yang ditinjau adalah pelajar SMA. Pengumpulan data primer dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan wawancara ke rumah tangga (home interview survey) pada 100 keluarga di enam belas desa di Kecamatan Meuraxa Kota Banda Aceh. Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner diketahui bahwa mayoritas rumah tangga beranggotakan 4 orang anggota keluarga sebesar 40%, anggota keluarga yang merupakan pelajar tingkat SMA masing-masing rumah tangga adalah 1 orang sebesar 98%. Mayoritas pelajar SMA di kecamatan Meuraxa menggunakan sepeda motor sebagai moda untuk tujuan sekolah sebesar 69%. Variabel bebas yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 10 variabel yang meliputi karakteristik keluarga dan data perjalanan responden. Adapun 10 variabel itu adalah jumlah pelajar SMA dalam keluarga (X1), pelajar SMA yang menggunakan sepeda motor (X2), pelajar SMA yang menggunakan angkutan umum (X3), pelajar SMA yang menggunakan kendaraan lainnya (X4), jumlah pendapatan orang tua (X5), kepemilikan SIM C (X6), jenis kelamin pelajar SMA (X7), umur pelajar SMA (X8), SMA tujuan (X9), dan jarak tempuh menuju sekolah (X10). Berdasarkan hasil pengujian regresi dengan menggunakan software SPSS-20 diperoleh model terbaik Y = 0,722 + 0,393 X2 + 0,159 X5 + 0,393 X6, dengan nilai determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,378. Peran orangtua sangat dibutuhkan untuk meminimalkan tingkat kecemasan anak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan peran orang tua dengan tingkat kecemasan anak usia prasekolah (3-6 tahun) yang mengalami hospitalisasi di ruang rawat Seurune I Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh Tahun 2014. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional study. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu anak usia prasekolah yang di rawat di ruang Seurune I Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh dengan jumlah sampel 42 orang, dan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara terpimpin sesuai dengan kuesioner yang telah disusun oleh peneliti. Metode analisis data menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil penelitian adalah terdapat hubungan antara peran orangtua dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan fisik anak (p-value 0,0001), ada hubungan antara peran orangtua dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan psikososial anak (p-value 0,0001) dengan tingkat kecemasan anak usia prasekolah, ada hubungan antara peran orangtua dengan tingkat kecemasan anak (p-value 0,0001). Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan peran orangtua dengan tingkat kecemasan anak usia prasekolah yang mengalami hospitalisasi di ruang rawat seurune I Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah dr. Increasing of aquaculture production is playing an important contribution to increase of environmental and pathological problems in several aquaculture production centers. Therefore, prevention and control of diseases are now become a top priority for the sustainability of this industry. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the distribution of fish pathogen in some mariculture production centers in Riau Islands Province. The study was conducted from Febrari 2011 to December 2013. The study showed that Nodavirus and Iridovirus as a viral disease-causing agents were commonly found in marine fish farm. While Vibrio spp., Aeromonas spp. and Edwardsiella spp. were general pathogenic microorganism in marine and freshwater fish farms. Furthermore, there were also found various parasites such as Diplectanum sp., Gyrodactilus sp., Caligus sp., Trichodina sp., Rhexanella sp., Hirudinae sp., Benedenia sp.  and Cylodonela sp. in various marine and freshwater fish production centers in the Riau Islands Province. Peningkatan laju produksi perikanan budidaya secara umum berperan penting dalam peningkatan masalah lingkungan dan patogen di beberapa unit produksi budidaya. Oleh karena itu, pencegahan dan pengendalian penyakit saat ini menjadi prioritas untuk menjamin keberlanjutan industri ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan monitoring dan menilai distribusi patogen pada beberapa sentra produksi perikanan laut di Provinsi Kepulauan Riau. Monitoing dilakukan mulai Februari 2011 sampai Desember 2013. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Nodavirus dan Iridovirus merupakan agen penyebab penyakit virus yang umum ditemukan di budidaya ikan laut. Sementara Vibrio spp., Aeromonas spp. dan Edwardsiella spp. merupakan mikroorganisme patogen yang umum ditemukan di sentra budidaya ikan laut dan ikan air tawar.
