                <text>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak tanin daun api-api(Avicennia marina) terhadap ektoparasit protozoa yang menyerang ikan nila(Oreochromis niloticus). Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juni sampai Juli 2014 diLaboratorium BBAP Ujung Batee, dan Laboratorium Kimia, Fakultas Keguruan danIlmu Pendidikan, Universitas Syiah Kuala. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodeRancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non factorial dengan taraf enam perlakuankonsentrasi (0, 60, 70, 80, 90, dan 100 ppm) dan empat kali ulangan. Penelitian inimenggunakan organisme uji O.niloticus dengan bobot 2-4 g sebagai media yangterserang ektoparasit protozoa. Data dianalisis dengan program Trimmed Spearman-Karber (TSK) versi 1.5. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa ektoparasit protozoayang teridentifikasi pada penelitian ini adalah jenis Trichodina sp. Data hasil ujiANOVA menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak tanin dari A. marina berpengaruh sangat nyataterhadap ektoparasit Trichodina sp. Hasil uji Duncan menunjukkan bahwakonsentrasi ekstrak tanin A. marina terbaik diperoleh pada 90 dan 100 ppm. Hasil ujiTSK menunjukkan bahwa nilai LC50 ekstrak tanin A. marina terhadap Trichodina sp.adalah 64,81 ppm dengan batas bawah sebesar 54,74 ppm dan pada batas atassebesar 76,73 ppm.Kata kunci: Avicennia marina, LC50, Trichodina sp., Oreochromis niloticus, Tanin.</text>

                <text>ABSTRAKEkstrak etanol daun jambu biji (Psidium guajava Linn) berpotensi dalam proses mempercepat penyembuhan luka. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan pengaruh konsentrasi humektan terhadap stabilitas gel ekstrak etanol daun jambu biji. Ekstrak etanol daun jambu biji 5% diformulasikan dalam bentuk gel dengan perbandingan konsentrasi humektan (gliserin dan propilenglikol) 10%:5% (FI), 12%:6% (FII), 14%:7% (FIII) dan 16%:8% (FIV). Stabilitas sifat fisik gel diuji selama 4 minggu pada suhu kamar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa FI dan FIV lebih stabil dibandingkan dengan FII dan III ditinjau dari organoleptik dan homogenitas. Peningkatan konsentrasi humektan FI, FII, dan FIII menurunkan viskositas kecuali pada FIV yang mengalami peningkatan viskositas. Nilai pH keempat formula berada pada rentang pH 6-7. Nilai rata-rata uji daya sebar keempat formula berada pada nilai ? 5 cm. Hasil analisa dengan ANOVA dan uji LSD menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan konsentrasi humektan memiliki pengaruh secara signifikan terhadap daya sebar pada FI dengan FII, FI dengan FIII serta FII dengan FIV berbeda signifikan dengan nilai signifikan yaitu 0,007; 0,045 dan 0,044.Kata kunci: gel, humektan, stabilitas sifat fisik, viskositas, daya sebarABSTRACTThe ethanol extract of guava leaves (Psidium guajava Linn) has the potential to accelerate the wound healing process. This study aims to determine the effect of humectant concentration of the ethanol extract gel stability of guava leaves. The ethanol extract of guava leaves 5% formulated in the form of a gel with concentrations of glycerin humectant and propilenglikol with a ratio 10%:5% (FI), 12%:6% (FII), 14%:7% (FIII) and 16%:8% (FIV). The stability of the physical properties of the gel was tested for 4 weeks at room temperature. The results obtained showed that the FI and FIV were more stable than the FII and III in terms of organoleptic and homogeneity. Increasing the humectant concentration of FI, FII, and FIII reducing their viscosity except on FIV increasing viscosity. PH values of the of formulas were the range of pH 6-7. The average value of the spreadability of tested formulas was values ? 5 cm. Results analyzed by ANOVA and LSD test showed that the differences of the humectant concentration is highly significant influence on the average of the spreadability to FI with FII, FI with FIII and FII with FIV were different significantly at 0.07; 0.045; and 0.044.Keywords: gel, humectants, stability of the physical properties, viscosity, spreadability</text>

The study used Complete Random Design (CRD) with factorial pattern 4x4 with two factor. Factor I use 4 level chitosan concentration; C0 (0%), C1 (1%), C2 (2%), and C3 (3%). Factor II usage of bee wax concentration  (L) consisted of: L0 (0%), L1 (5%), L2 (6%) and L3 (7%). With combined treatment 4 x 4 = 16, used 3 repeat test to found 48 unit experiment. Analized parameter are wight reduce, solid dissolved total, acid total, fruit solidity. Research proved that chitosan concentration and bee wax had high impact (P ? 0,01)  to weight reduce, solid dissolved total, acid total and fruit solidity during 21 days conservation. Chitosan concentraton 1 % and bee wax 6% is the best concentration formula to solid dissolved total, acid total and fruit.                 <text>This research studied the application of chitosan on salted mackerel (Rastrelliger sp.) preservation during storage at room temperature. The research is aimed to study the effect chitosan concentration and storage time for Total Plate Count (TPC). The study was conducted in Laboratory of Microbiology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Syiah Kuala University from April to August 2012. The research method was laboratory experimental.  The data was analyzed by Randomized Completely Design with two factorial. The first factor was chitosan concentration (three levels: 0%; 1%; 2%) while the second factor was storage time (four levels: 0; 2; 4; 8 weeks). The results of this study indicated that chitosan concentration was not significantly different for the Total Plate Count (p&amp;gt;0,05), however storage time was significantly for the Total Plate Count (p&amp;lt;0,05). Futhermore, the interaction chitosan concentration and storage time was significantly for the Total Plate Count (p&amp;lt;0,05).</text>

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi larutan sodium hipoklorit 2% dan 5% terhadap kekuatan impak basis gigi tiruan resin akrilik. Penelitian ini menggunakan 30 spesimen resin akrilik QC-20 dengan ukuran 50 x 6 x 4 mm. Spesimen tersebut dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok perendaman yakni kelompok larutan NaOCl konsentrasi 2%, kelompok Larutan NaOCl Konsentrasi 5%, dan kelompok kontrol. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok pola faktorial 4x3 dengan 3 ulangan, terdiri dari 36 satuan penelitian. Faktor pupuk organik cair terdiri dari 4 taraf  yaitu 0, 1, 3 dan 5 cc L-1 air. Faktor jenis mulsa terdiri atas 3 taraf yaitu ampas tebu, jerami padi dan sekam padi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 30 dan 45 HST, jumlah anakan umur 30 dan 45 HST,  jumlah umbi per rumpun, bobot berangkasan basah dan kering angin per plot netto, produksi per hektar, bobot umbi per rumpun, diameter umbi, berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 15 HST. Pertumbuhan dan hasil terbaik dijumpai pada konsentrasi pupuk organik cair 1 cc L-1 air. Jenis mulsa organik berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 15 dan 45 HST, jumlah anakan umur 15 dan 45 HST, jumlah umbi per rumpun, bobot berangkasan kering angin per plot netto, bobot umbi per rumpun. Pertumbuhan dan hasil terbaik dijumpai pada perlakuan jenis mulsa organik ampas tebu. Interaksi yang sangat nyata antara konsentrasi pupuk organik cair dengan jenis mulsa organik terhadap bobot berangkasan basah dan kering angin per plot netto.                 <text>Effect of Organic Liquid Fertilizer and Peanut Variety on the Growth and YieldABSTRACT. The objective of this study were to investigate several varieties and liquid organic fertilizer on the growth at the yield of peanut of the tsunami affected area and also to identify the interaction between the two factors. The research was conducted at the Lamnyong river flood plain which is located at west sector of Komplek Pelajar Mahasiswa (KOPELMA) Darussalam – Banda Aceh from March to Mei 2009. Randomized completely block design with two factor was used on this experiment using three replications. The first factor was peanut variety (i.e. Singa, Kuala Batee and Tangse), and the second factors was Super Bionik fertilizer concentrations (i.e. 0 cc; 0.9 cc; 1,8 cc /225cc). The variety significantly influenced the plants height on 45 days after planting, the amount of ginofore, the plant wet weight, and 100 seed weight, however the variety not significantly influenced other parameters (i.e. the amount of the branches at 45 days after planting, the total pods, and the amount of full pod). The result showed that Super Bionic concentrations not significantly influenced all parameters observed, and no interactions between the variety and the fertilizer concentration occurred on the parameters observed.</text>

                <text>ABSTRAK. Jenis rumput laut yang biasanya diolah menjadi makanan yang siap dimakan adalah Eucheuma sp dan Gellidium sp. Diversifikasi produk olahan rumput laut adalah salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan daya guna dan nilai ekonomis rumput laut, yaitu dengan cara mengolah rumput laut jenis Eucheuma cottonii menjadi mie basah. Mie basah merupakan hasil pengolahan berbahan dasar tepung yang dicampur dengan bahan tambahan lainnya. Tepung yang sering digunakan dalam pembuatan mie adalah tepung terigu dan tepung beras. Penambahan rumput laut pada pembuatan mie basah diharapkan dapat meningkatkan nilai gizi kepada masyarakat karena rumput laut mengandung yodium dan kadar serat yang tinggi. Penggunaan rumput laut juga mempengaruhi karakteristik mie basah yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktorial. Faktor yang diteliti yaitu pengaruh konsentrasi rumput laut dan jenis tepung. Faktor konsentrasi rumput laut (R) terdiri atas 3 taraf yaitu R1 = 30%, R2 = 35%, dan R3 = 40%. Faktor jenis tepung (T) terdiri atas 2 taraf yaitu T1 = tepung terigu dan T2 = tepung beras. Kualitas mie basah terbaik yang dihasilkan berdasarkan metode rangking diperoleh pada konsentrasi 30% rumput laut dan tepung terigu dengan karakteristik sebagai berikut: rendemen 176,03%, kadar protein 18,53% , nilai organoleptik warna = 3,92 (suka), nilai organoleptik aroma = 3.73 (suka), nilai organoleptik rasa = 3.78 (suka), nilai organoleptik kekenyalan = 3,95 (suka), dan nilai organoleptik uji mutu hedonik kekenyalan = 3,87 (kenyal). Kandungan yodium dari mie basah dari 3,8 mg bahan iod/100g diperoleh dari rumput laut dengan perlakuan konsentrasi 30% dan penggunaan tepung terigu (R1T1).Effect of Seaweed (Eucheuma Cottonii) and Flour Type Concentrations on Wet Noodle ProcessingABSTRACT. Type of seaweed that is usually processed into food and ready to eat is Gellidium sp. and Eucheuma sp. Diversification of processed seaweed is one of the efforts to improve the effectiveness and economic value of seaweed. It is by processing seaweed of Eucheuma cottonii into wet noodle. Wet noodle is made from flour mixed with other additives. Flour that often used in wet noodle processing is flour and rice. The addition of seaweed on a wet noodle making is expected to improve the nutritional value for society because seaweed contains iodine and high fiber. The use of seaweed also affected the characteristics of a wet noodle. The research was conducted using completely randomized design (CRD) factorial. Factors studied were the influence of the concentration and type of seaweed flour. Seaweed concentration factor (R) consisted of 3 levels, R1 = 30%, R2 = 35%, and R3 = 40%. Factors in the type of flour (T) consisted of two levels, T1 = T2 = flour and rice flour. The quality of best wet noodle generated based on ranking method, obtained at a concentration of 30% seaweed and wheat flour with the following characteristics: yield 176.03% , 18.53% protein content, color organoleptic value = 3.92 (like), aroma organoleptic value = 3.73 (like), a sense of the organoleptic value = 3.78 (like), organoleptic value of elasticity = 3.95 (like), and the value of organoleptic quality test hedonic elasticity = 3.87 (chewy). Iodine content of 3.8 mg of wet noodles iod/100g material derived from seaweed by treatment with 30% and the use of wheat flour (R1T1).</text>

                <text>One of the alternative utilization of pineapple peel waste is to convert them to lactate acid via fermentation. This research is aimed to obtain better understanding on the growth of lactate bacteria (Lactobacillus plantarum)  by varying substrate concentration:  100 g/L - 600 g/L and stirring rate of 50 rpm, 150 rpm, and 250 rpm. The growth of anaeroic process was performed without pH controlling with initial pH of 5 and temperature of 28OC.  Pineapple peel was used as the substrate after romoving water content using ammonium dihydrogen phosphate.  Cell growth was analyzed by calculating the total of microorganism cell using hemocytometer. In order to determine lactate acid production, glucose concentration was analyzed using spectrophotometer. Nelson-Somogy method was employed in this analysis. Ethanol concentration was also analyzed by calculating the titration of acid lactate concentration. The optimum growth of Lactobacillus plantarum was found at 28oC, stirring rate of 150 rpm and substrate concentration of 500 g/L contributing to the total cell  of  3,85.108, 1,13.109, and  4,00.108  for lag, exponential, and decrease phase respectively.  Further analysis carried out based on stirring rate of 150 rpm and substrate concentration of 500 g/L resulted in the largest average concentration of lactate acid of 1.620% v/v with glucose consumption percentage of 51,76%.Keywords: pineapple peel, Lactobacillus plantarum, lactate acid</text>

                <text>PENGARUH KONSEP DIRI DAN PENGETAHUAN SISWA TERHADAP KESIAPSIAGAAN BENCANA GEMPA BUMI DI SDN 27 DANMIN MERDUATI BANDA ACEHABSTRAKKesiapsiagaan pengurangan resiko bencana sangat diperlukan dalam menghadapi bencana khususnya saat menghadapi gempa bumi Pengetahuan masih tergolong rendah masyarakat khususnya anak-anak dan usia lanjut yang merupakan usia paling rentan terhadap risiko terjadinya korban dalam suatu bencana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan mengidentifikasi pengaruh konsep diri dan pengetahuan siswa di SDN 27 dan MIN Merduati Kecamatan Kuta Alam Kota Banda Aceh terhadap kesiapsiagaan pengurangan risiko bencana gempa bumi. Metode yang digunakan adalah explanatory research yaitu penelitian yang menjelaskan hubungan antara variabel-variabel melalui pengujian hipotesa. Desain penelitian cross sectional ditujukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh antara variabel independen yaitu mengidentifikasi konsep diri dan pengetahuan terhadap kesiapsiagaan siswa. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik stratified random, yaitu 52 orang dari Sekolah Dasar Negeri 27 dan 69 orang dari MIN Merduati. Data primer diperoleh melalui angket yang telah disusun meliputi: konsep diri, pengetahuan, dan kesiapsiagaan pengurangan risiko bencana kepada siswa. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan observasi terhadap responden ditemukan bahwa secara umum pengetahuan dan konsep diri responden berada pada kategori baik, sedangkan kesiapsiagaannya kurang baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat konsep diri siswa pada SDN 27 masih lebih rendah dibandingkan pada MIN Merduati, tingkat pengetahuan siswa pada MIN Merduati lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan SDN 27, disamping itu tingkat kesiapsiagaan siswa di MIN Merduati lebih rendah dari SDN 27. Selain itu, ditemukan adanya pengaruh antara pengetahuan dengan kesiapsiagaan pada siswa MIN Merduati (Nilai P = 0,018), dan tidak ada pengaruh secara langsung antara konsep diri terhadap kesiapsiagaan siswa SDN 27 dan MIN Merduati. Disarankan kepada petugas mitigasi bencana agar sosialisasi sebaiknya dimasukkan dalam proses pembelajaran atau diintegrasikan dalam mata pelajaran. Kepada siswa dan guru diharapkan terus menggali pengetahuan tentang gempa bumi dan mitigasinya, serta membentuk konsep diri pada siswa pendidikan dasar dalam memahami mitigasi bencana.Kata kunci: konsep diri, pengetahuan, dan kesiapsiagaan bencana gempa bumi.</text>
