                <text>This study was aimed at determining type of organic material suitable for the growth and yield of two varieties of tomatoes and the interaction between the two factors. This experiment was conducted at the experimental field of the Agriculture Faculty, Syiah Kuala University, Darussalam, Banda Aceh. The experiment was arranged in a randomized complete block design, 4 x 2 with three replications. There were two factors investigated: organic material consisting 4 levels (control, manure, compost peat, and compost), varieties consisting two levels (Permata and Lentana F1). Variables observed were height and stem diameter, fruit weight per plant, number of fruits per plant, number of bunches per plant, number of fruits per bunch, average weight per fruit and yield potential. The results showed that the type of organic material highly significantly affected plant height and stem diameter at the ages of 30 and 45 days after planting, fruit weight per plant, number of fruits per plant, and significantly affected plant height at the age of 15 HST but did not significantly affect the number of bunches per plant, number of fruits per bunch, average weight per fruit and yield potential. Growth and yield were better at manure compared to compost, peat compost, and control. Varieties significantly affected stem diameter at the age of 15, 30 and 45 days after planting, fruit weight per plant, number of fruits per plant, number of bunches per plant, number of fruits per bunch, average weight per fruit and potential results. Growth and yield were better found in varieties Permata. There were significant interactions between types of organic materials and varieties in all observed variables on growth and yield of tomato.</text>

                <text>Beton merupakan pilihan utama yang banyak digunakan dalam konstruksi di dunia sebagai elemen struktur pada bangunan gedung dan bangunan sipil lainnya. Hal ini disebabkan karena pengerjaannya relatif mudah dan dapat dibentuk sesuai dengan kebutuhan maupun keinginan penggunanya. Penggunaan nilai FAS yang rendah dan penambahan bahan additive seperti silica fume telah menjadi hal yang lazim dilaksanakan untuk memodifikasi mikrostruktur dari semen dan meningkatkan kekuatannya. Efek dari penggunaan FAS yang rendah dan penambahan silica fume ke dalam campuran beton menyebabkan kesulitan dalam proses pengerjaan dan pemadatan (workability rendah), sehingga diperlukan adanya penambahan bahan admixture lain berupa superplasticizer untuk meningkatkan daya kerjanya. Ketepatan dosis penambahan superplasticizer perlu dibuktikan dengan membuat campuran percobaan (trial mixes). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui kuat tarik lentur beton menggunakan superplasticizer yang berbeda dengan persentase 1,0%; 1,5% dan 2,0% dan silica fume sebanyak 8% dari total berat semen. Benda uji yang digunakan untuk pengujian tarik lentur berbentuk balok berukuran 15 cm x 15 cm x 60 cm. Dalam penelitian ini nilai FAS yang digunakan yaitu 0,3. Diameter maksimum agregat yang digunakan 16 mm. Superplasticizer yang digunakan terdiri dari dua macam yaitu Sikament LN dan Sikament NN. Jumlah benda uji untuk masing - masing variabel 3 buah benda uji, sehingga jumlah total benda uji pada penelitian ini sebanyak 36 buah dengan metode perawatan direndam dalam air. Pengujian dilakukan pada umur 7 hari dan 28 hari. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Sikament NN lebih baik dibandingkan dengan Sikament LN. Kuat tarik lentur tertinggi untuk umur 28 hari sebesar 4,532 MPa persentase Sikament NN 1,5%, sedangkan kuat tarik lentur terendah sebesar 4,234 MPa dengan persentase Sikament NN 2,0%. Untuk Sikament LN, kuat tarik lentur tertinggi sebesar 4,244 MPa dengan persentase 1,0%, sedangkan kuat tarik lentur terendah sebesar 3,558 MPa dengan persentase 2,0%. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan penggunaan Sikament NN lebih baik dari pada penggunaan Sikament LN.Kata Kunci :Beton Mutu Tinggi , Superplasticizer, Silica Fume, Kuat Tarik Lentur.</text>

                <text>In an effort to increase the productivity of cocoa in Aceh, the government has carried out a cocoa plantation revitalization program for plants aged 25-30 years. The revitalization effort was constrained by the unavailability of quality seedlings. Alternatively, cocoa seedlings can be made available through vegetative propagations or through tissue culture techniques. Based on those facts, we have studied the inducing of callus and somatic embryos of cacao clones that were adaptive and highly productive in Aceh. The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design, consisted of two factors. The first factor was the cacao genotype, having red and green fruits skin. The second factor consisted of six combinations of growth regulators 2,4-D and kinetin. The results showed that genotype of explants origin from cocoa red flowers responded very well in the formation of callus and somatic embryo formation. There was a significant interaction between genotype and growth regulator combinations on the explants in the number of somatic embryos formed. The best combination of concentrations growth regulator in response to somatic embryo in SCG (Secondary Callus Growth) medium was 3 mgL-1 2,4 D and 1 mgL-1 kinetin for explants from cocoa red flowers, and 1 mgL-1 2,4 D and 0 mgL-1 kinetin for explants origin from cacao green flowers. </text>

                <text>Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis labu kuning dan rasio tepung terigu dan tepung labu kuning terhadap sifat fisik  (rendemen dan persentase mie putus), kimia (kadar air, kadar abu, kadar protein, serat kasar dan ?-karoten) dan organoleptik (hedonik rasa, deskriptif warna, aroma dan kekenyalan) mie basah yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan pola faktorial yang terdiri atas2 faktor. Faktor I adalah factor jenis labu kuning yang terdiri atas 3 taraf, J1= jenis labu bokor, J2=jenis labu klenting, J3= jenis labu ular. Faktor II adalah rasio tepung terigu dan tepung labu kuning dengan 3 taraf, R1=80:20, R2= 60:40, R3=40:60. Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak tiga kali sehingga diperoleh 27 kali satuan percobaan. Jenis labu kuning berpengaruh sangat nyata (P?0,01) terhadap rendemen dan deskriptif warna dan berpengaruh nyata (P?0,05) terhadap nilai kesukaan rasa. Rasio tepung terigu dan labu kuning berpengaruh sangat nyata (P?0,01) terhadap kadar air, kadar abu, dan nilai kesukaan rasa dan berpengaruh nyata(P?0,05) terhadap nilai deskriptif warna dan aroma. Peningkatan jumlah tepung labuk uning yang ditambahkan menyebabkan meningkatnya kadar air dan kadar abu mie basah yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan polafaktorial, yang terdiri dari 2 faktor yaitu jenis mulsa dan persentase naungan. Faktor pertama jenis mulsa terdiri dari 4 jenis yaitu tanpa mulsa, mulsa plastik, mulsa sekam padi (10 ton.ha-1), dan mulsa kulit kopi (40 ton.ha-1). Faktor kedua intensitas naungan terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu tanpa paranet, paranet 55%, paranet 65%, dan paranet 75%. Peubah yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah persentase serangan pada daun, persentase serangan pada buah dan bobot buah cabai. Jenis mulsa disertai intensitas naungan dapat mengurangi persentase penyakit antraknosa baik pada buah maupun pada tanaman cabai. Mulsa sekam padi dapat menekan persentase serangan pada tanaman, sedangkan mulsa kulit kopi dapat meningkatkan bobot buah cabai. Perkembangan penyakit pada daun dapat ditekan dengan tanpa naungan, sedangkan naungan 55%, 65% dan 75% dapat meningkatkan bobot buah cabai.Kata Kunci : cabai, mulsa, naungan dan penyakit antraknosa?</text>

                <text>The study was aimed at determining effect of mulch type and concentration of liquid organic fertilizer Super Bionic on growth and yield of onion.  The experiment used a randomized complete block design (RCBD) 3x3 with 3 replications. There were 2 factors investigated, 1) type of mulch consisting of 3 levels: straw, burned husk, and water hyacinth and 2) concentration of organic liquid fertilizer Super Bionic consisting of 3 levels: 2 cc/L of water, 4 cc/L of water and 6 cc/L of water. The results showed that the type of mulch significantly affected the number of tubers per hill, but did not exert significant effects on plant height and number of tillers at ages 15, 30 and 45 days after planting (DAP), wet weight of tuber per hill and dry weight of tubers per hill and potential yield.  Growth and yield of onion tended to be better at water hyacinth mulch. Concentration of  liquid organic fertilizer Super Bionic significantly affected the number of tillers at age 15, 30 and 45 DAP and dry weight of tuber per hill, but did not exert significant effects on plant height at age 15, 30 and 45 DAP, the number of tubers per hill, wet weight of tuber per hill and potential yield. Better growth and yield were obtained at concentrations 2 cc/L of water. There was no significant interaction between type of mulch and concentration of liquid organic fertilizer Super Bionic.</text>

                <text>This study aims to determine the effect of organic fertilizer type and varieties on the growth and yield of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.). The research was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture Experimental Farm Syiah Kuala from October 2013 to January 2014. This study used a randomized block design 3 x 3 which consist of 2 factorial with three replications. The first factor is the variety of cucumber varieties Misano F1, Oris F1 and F1 Hercules. The second factor is the type of organic fertilizer. Organic fertilizers used are compost, duck droppings and cow dung. The parameter observed are plant height, stem diameter, fruit diameter, fruit length, fruit number for plant, fruit weight and yield potential. Best plant growth of cucumber varieties found in Misano F1 while cucumber crop yields tend to be better found in cow manure treatment. There is a significant interaction between varieties and organic fertilizer on plant height age 20 days after planting. The best growth observed in variety Misano F1 treatment and compost.Kata kunci : organic fertilizer, varieties, cucumbers.</text>

                <text>The Effect of Organic Fertilizer and Planting Space on the Growth of Aloe Jumini dan Syammiah Program Studi Agronomi Fakultas Pertanian Unsyiah ABSTRACT             The objectives of this research were to know the effect of organic fertilizer species and planting space, and interaction between them on the growth of aloe. Research was done from February to May 2006 at experiment station of Agriculture Faculty of Syiah Kuala University. Units of treatments were arranged by factorial randomized complete block design with 3 replications. Data collected were analyzed by analysis of variance and followed with honestly significant different test at the level of 5%. The results showed that cow manure was the best for the growth of aloe compared to compos, and the spacing of 70x70 cm was the best planting space.  However, the interaction between the two factors showed that widening planting space from 60x60 cm to 70x70 cm with cow manure did not give significant effect; while this gave significant positive effect when using compos.  </text>
