The research was to find the effect of  planting distance and some varieties on intercropping system of sweet corn and kidney beans to improve growth and   yield.  The experimental design was Complete Block Randomized with two factors and two replications. The first factor was planting distance between rows of sweet corn intercropping system (J1=60cmx30cm; J2=80cmx30cm; J3=100cmx30cm).  Then the second factor was variety (V1= Kumala F1; V2= King Sweet F1; V3=Super Bee). The results indicated that the best planting distance on intercropping some varieties of sweet corn and kidney bean was 100cmx30cm for sweet corn and 80cmx30cm and 100cmx30cm for kidney bean. The varieties treatment showed that the best variety of sweet corn was Super Bee and kidney bean was King Sweet F1. There was significantly different interaction between planting distance and varieties on intercropping system of sweet and kidney bean on the corn husk weight of sweet corn.</text>

The effect of distance and number of seeds planting hole-1 Plant Against Plant Growth and Yield of Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). The purpose of this study was to determine the best spacing with the right amount of seeds as well as the interaction of these two factors on the growth and yield of wheat, in order to obtain growth and yield of wheat optimal. This research was conducted at the University Farm Lampahan Syiah Kuala University, Mekar Ayu, Timang Gajah, Bener Meriah, Aceh. This study was conducted from March to July 2013. Factors studied were plant spacing and number of seeds. Spacing factor consists of 4 levels, namely 20 cm x 15 cm, 20 cm x 20 cm, 20 cm x 25 cm and 20 cm x 30 cm. Factor number seed consists of 3 levels ie 1, 2 and 3 seeds planting hole-1. Results showed that the spacing very significant effect on grain weight plot-1 and production hectare-1, significantly affect plant height age 15 HST. The number of seeds very significant effect on grain weigh plot-1. There is a very real interaction between spacing and number of seeds to grain weight plot-1. The best treatment combination on grain weight plot-1 is spacing of 20 cm x 20 cm and the number 3 seeds planting hole-1.</text>

<text>Effects of crop arrangement and cutting on the silages quality of two varieties of maize (Zea mays L.)ABSTRACT. The objective of this experiment was to study the interaction effect of varieties, spacing and cutting on the quality of silage as foodstuff. The experiment had been conducted from January to April, 2007 at the experimental Garden of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Haluoleo. This experiment was arranged in Split-Split plot design with three factors. The first factor was variety as main plot, consisting of BISI-2 variety and local variety; the second factor was space arrangement as sub plot, consisting of 60 cm x 40 cm (J1), 75 cm x 40 cm (J2), 90 cm x 40 cm (J3), the third factor was cutting period as sub plot, consisting of no cutting (Po), cutting on 40 days (P1), and cutting on 55 days (P2). So that there were 2 x 3 x 3 x 3 = 54 experimental units. Analysis of variance was applied to know the effect of treatment. If so, least significant difference (LSD) 0.05 (95 %) confidence level was used. Variables observed was plant growth determining silages quality, consisting of quality of crude protein, crude fiber, crude fat, and water. Results of research revealed that interaction affect of spacing and cutting periods on 40 days of BISI-2 variety gave the best yield of plant growth for plant height. While the local variety tended to adverse effect of cutting. However, the quality of silages of two varieties tended to be similar. Every crop spacing had a positive effect of cutting on 40 days. The best quality of silages of two varieties was resulted from the interaction between spacing 75 cm x 40 cm and cutting of 40 days.</text>

<text>ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to examine hexagonal plant spacing on growth and yield of three varieties of rice. In addition, this study was also aimed to examine interactions between the hexagonal plant spacing and the varieties on growth and yield of rice plants.  The experiment applied a split plot design with four replications. Factors studied were (1) variety, placed as a main plot and (2) hexagonal plant spacing, placed as subplot. The results showed that effect of plant spacing on productive tiller number varied, depending on variety. In Pandan Wangi and Ciherang varieties, productive tiller numbers did not differ between plant spacing of 21 cm from a spacing of 25 cm. In contrast, in line Cot Irie, productive tiller of 25 cm plant spacing outnumbered that of plant spacing of 21 cm. Effect of plant spacing on panicle length was consistent on all varieties tested. Rice panicle length did not differ between plant spacing of 21 cm and 25 cm. Effect of plant spacing on potential yield per hectare was also consistent across all varieties tested. Plant spacing of 21 cm provided a potential yield per ha which was not significantly different from plant spacing of 25 cm. Line Cot Irie provided panicle length better than varieties Pandan Wangi and Ciherang. Line Cot Irie also provided the highest yield potential per hectare, while panicle length and potential yield per ha of Ciherang were not significantly different from Pandan Wangi.</text>

<text>            The objectives of this research were to study effects of some ameliorants (calcify dolomite, sea mud, and some biofertilizers) to some variables of C-organic, C/N, soil nitrogen, soil available P, N and P absorption, the infection of Bradyrhizobium and mycorrhiza, and soybean growth. This research was arranged in Randomized Complete Block Design with thirteen treatments and two replicates.  Provision of some amelioran exerted significant effects on numbers of root nodules, degree of mycorrhiza infection, and plant height of 5 week after planting (WAP). The best amelioran was calcify dolomite on which had positive responses to the increase of numbers of root nodules, degree of mycorrhiza infection, and plant height of 5 WAP. The second best was combination of Bradyrhizobium +Mos+ peat soil isolate mycorrhiza, which significantly increased numbers of root nodules, degree of mycorrhiza infection, and plant height of 5 WAP. The poor and the poorest ameliorants were sea mud+calcify dolomite and sea mud without dolomite, respectively, which caused reduction of numbers of root nodules, degree of mycorrhiza infection, and plant height of 5 WAP.</text>
