The experiment was conducted in Village Suak Ni, Sub District of Johan Pahlawan, District of Aceh Barat, from June to August 2010.  Soil analysis was carried out in Laboratory Soil and Plant Analysis, Agriculture Faculty, Syiah Kuala University, Darussalam Banda Aceh. Variables observed were physical (porosity and bulk density) and chemistry (pH, N-total, P-available, K-available, CEC, and base saturation) characteristics and yield of peanut. Results showed that chaff ash and mineral soil (Andisol) was highly significantly interacted on pH, and significantly interacted on N-total, P-available, K-available, CEC, and base saturation, but not significantly interacted on other variables. Chaff ash exerted significant effects on total porosity, bulk density, pH, N-total, P-available, K-available, CEC, base saturation of peat, plant height 30 and 45 DAP (day after planting), filled pod percentage, empty pod percentage, weight of 100 dried grains, dried grain weight per net plot and dried grain weight per hectare, but no significant effect on plant height 15 DAP. Mineral soil exerted significant effects on porosity, bulk density, pH, N-total, P-available, K-available, CEC, base saturation, but no effects on growth and yield of peanut.Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam perubahan beberapa sifat fisika dan kimia tanah gambut serta hasil tanaman kacang tanah akibat pemberian amelioran abu sekam dan Andisol. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Suak Ni, Kecamatan Johan Pahlawan Kabupaten Aceh Barat dan analisis tanah awal dilakukan di Laboratorium Analisis Tanah dan Tanaman Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala, Darussalam Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni 2010 sampai dengan Agustus 2010. Peubah yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah sifat fisika (porositas dan bulk density) dan kimia (pH, N-Total, P-tersedia, K-tersedia, KTK dan KB) serta hasil kacang tanah pada tanah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian abu sekam dan tanah mineral secara interaksi berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap pH, berpengaruh nyata terhadap N-total, P-tersedia, K-dd, berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap NTK, dan sangat nyata terhadap KB, sedangkan parameter tidak nyata.  Faktor tunggal abu sekam berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap porositas total, dan Bulk  density, berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap pH, N-total, P-tersedia, K-tersedia, NTK dan KB tanah gambut, tinggi tanaman 30 dan 45 HST, persentase polong bernas, persentase polong hampa, berat 100 biji kering, berat biji kering per plot netto serta berat biji kering per hektar, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman kacang tanah umur 15 HST.  Pemberian tanah mineral berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap porositas,  berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap bulk  density, berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap  pH, tidak nyata terhadap N-total, sangat nyata terhadap P-tersedia, K-dd, NTK dan KB. Research to determine the selectivity of fraction Rf &lt; 0.5 of ethyl acetate extract (EtOAc) of putat air kernel (Barringtonia racemosa) on golden apple snail(Pomacea canaliculata) and local catfish (Clarias batrachus) was conducted in February 2012 at the Laboratory of Chemistry of Teacher Training and Education Faculty and Laboratory of Marine Chemistry of Coordinatorate of Marine and Fisheries of Syiah Kuala University. Thin-layer chromatography was used to separate components in the extract samples, and testing of biological activity based on the procedures recommended by FAO. Golden apple snail and local catfish mortality data were analyzed using Probit program, and value of selectivity (S) was processed according to the Wang and Feng’s formula.The values of LC50 of the fraction Rf &lt; 0.5 were 29.26 ppm for P. canaliculata and 44.47 ppm for C. batracus. The selectivity value for the tested organisms was 1.51. This study revealed that the tested extract has bioactive property as molluscicide of P. canaliculata.Key words. This study examined the selectivity of ethyl acetate extract of putat air (Barringtonia racemosa) in controlling Pomacea canaliculata compared to local catfish (Clarias batrachus). Five concentration of putat air (25, 50, 100, 200, and 400 ppm) with triplicate were tested in this study. The powder of putat air kernel was extracted through increasing the polarity of solvent, i.e. dichloromethane, ethyl acetate, and methanol. The mortality data were analyzed using Trimmed Spearman Karber (TSK) program version 1.5. The selectivity value was calculated based on LC50 values obtained from TSK. The results showed that (1) LC50 values of putat air's kernel extract of putat air to P. canaliculata and C. batrachus were 25.00 and 87.06 ppm, respectively, (2) the selectivity value of putat air's kernel extract as molluscicide of P. canaliculata was 3.48. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the selectivity of the Rf &lt; 0.5 fraction of MeOH extract of putat air kernels (Barringtonia racemosa) on golden snail (Pomacea canaliculata) and tilapia (Oreochromis mossambicus). The research was conducted on November 2011 to February 2012 at Chemical Laboratory of Teacher Training and Education Facultyand Marine Chemical Laboratory of Coordinatorate of Marine and Fisheries of Syiah Kuala University. Thin-layer chromatography was used as the separation technique towards component compounds in the extract samples. The research was used five levels concentration of Rf &lt; 0.5 fraction of MeOH solution (20 ppm, 40 ppm, 60 ppm, 80 ppm, 100 ppm) with three repetitions. Mortality rates of golden snails and tilapia were detected when they were exposure to Rf &lt; 0.5 fraction of MeOH extract of B. racemosa kernels. The data were analyzed by Probit, and selectivity value (S) was calculated by Feng and Wang formula. The results revealed that Rf &lt; 0.5 fraction of MeOH extract of putat air kernels was selective to golden apple snails.Key words. Sifat beton dipengaruhi oleh bahan pembentuknya dan semen salah satunya. Semen yang digunakan untuk pekerjaan beton harus disesuaikan dengan rencana kekuatan dan spesifikasi teknik yang diberikan. Pemilihan tipe semen mudah dilakukan karena semen dapat langsung diambil dari sumbernya (pabrik). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan semen Andalas tipe PCC dan semen Andalas tipe PC I terhadap kuat tekan beton dengan variasi nilai Faktor Air Semen (FAS) dan umur pengerasan. Perencanaan campuran beton menggunakan metode American Concrete Institute 211.1-91.Ukuran maksimum agregat adalah 31,5 mm. Benda uji yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah silinder beton berdiameter 15 cm dan tinggi 30 cm. Pada penelitian ini umur pengujian kuat tekan adalah 3, 7, 14, 21 dan 28 hari dengan variasi FAS 0,5. Jumlah sampel untuk semua variasi FAS pada setiap pengujian kuat tekan beton adalah 15 buah benda uji untuk masing-masing tipe semen. Dari hasil penelitian terhadap kuat tekan rata-rata beton menggunakan semen Type I pada umur 3 hari 149,96 kg/cm2, 7 hari 210,32 kg/cm2, 14 hari 242,39 kg/cm2, 21 hari 274,45 kg/cm2 dan 28 hari 296,15 kg/cm2. Sedangkan untuk semen PCC kuat tekan rata-rata beton pada umur 3 hari 103,75 kg/cm2, 7 hari 144,30 kg/cm2, 14 hari 176,37 kg/cm2, 21 hari 198,06 kg/cm2, dan 28 hari 225,41 kg/cm2.
