This experiment was conducted to determine the antibacterial extract of Euphorbia hirta based on the growth inhibition of MRSA. This study used the Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with six treatment and five repetitions. The treatment consist of Euphorbia hirta extract with a concentration of 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and two in the controls of vancomycin as a positive control and distilled water as a negative control. The parameter that is measured is the inhibition area on the media. Data were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and followed by Honestly Significance Defference test (HSD). Euphorbia hirta extract with a concentration of 20%, 40%, 60%, and 80% result the inhibition area with average diameter of 12,4 mm, 15,2 mm, 16,5 mm and 15,3 mm. Tamarind leaves contain a variety of secondary metabolic compounds such as flavonoids, steroids, tannins and saponins. This study aims to determine the effect of ethanol extract of tamarind leaves in inhibiting the growth of Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in vitro. Methodology: Experimental laboratory is using Complete Randomized Design (CRD) which is divided into 6 groups. Four treatment groups and two control groups. The treatment group consisted of ethanol extract of tamarind leaves with concentration 75%, 50%, 25% and 12.5%. The control group consisted of vancomycin 30 mg as a positive control and sterile distilled water as negative control. Antibacterial activity test carried out by disc diffusion method. The parameters observed were inhibition zone diameter formed in the median. Data were analyzed by ANOVA and followed by the Smallest Real Differences Test (LSD) at ? = 0.05 level and translated according to the Grenwood classification > 20 mm, 16-20 mm, 11-15mm and</text>
