Dari berbagai penelitian, Syzygium aromaticum terbukti mampu menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri patogen rongga mulut karena mengandung zak aktif eugenol. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Konsentrasi Hambat Minimum (KHM) dan Konsentrasi Bunuh Minimum (KBM) infusum Syzygium aromaticum terhadap S. mutans. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental laboratoris. Uji KHM dan KBM dilakukan dengan metode serial dilusi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa KHM infusum bunga Syzygium aromaticum pada konsentrasi 1,56% sedangkan KBM tidak ditemukan. Hasil analisis statistik dengan menggunakan uji Kruskall-Wallis menunjukkan daya hambat pertumbuhan S. mutans yang paling signifikan adalah konsentrasi 1,56%, 3,125%, 6,25%, 12,5%, 25%, 50%, dan 100%. Disimpulkan KHM infusum bunga Syzygium aromaticum adalah 1,56% sedangkan KBM tidak ditemukan. Semakin tinggi konsentrasi infusum bunga Syzygium aromaticum yang digunakan, maka semakin besar kemampuan dalam menghambat pertumbuhan S. mutans. From various studies, Syzygium aromaticum proved capable of inhibiting the growth of oral pathogenic bacteria, because it contains active substances eugenol. The purpose of this study was to determine the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and Minimum bactericid Concentration (MBC) of infusum Syzygium aromaticum againts S. mutans. This research is an experimental research laboratory. MIC and MBC test is done by serial dilution method. The results showed infusum MIC infusum Syzygium aromaticum is in the concentration of 1.56% and there is no MBC infusum Syzygium aromaticum against S. mutans. Statistical analysis using Kruskall-Wallis test showed growth inhibition of S. mutans most significant is the concentration of 1.56%, 3.125%, 6.25%, 12.5%, 25%, 50%, and 100%. Concluded that the MIC infusum Syzygium aromaticum flower is 1.56% but the MBC was not found. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 3 kelas VIII yang berjumlah 62 orang sedangkan sampelnya berjumlah 2 kelas VIII dengan jumlah siswa 41 orang yang diambil secara random sampling yaitu dengan cara undian. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah data tes hasil belajar siswa dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistic uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran learning cycle terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa di kelas SMP Negeri 14 Banda aceh. Hasil ini dapat dilihat dari hasil uji hipotesis (t) yang dilakukan penulis. Dari hasil pengolahan data diperoleh bahwa thitung? ttabel dengan nilai thitung = 2,36 dan ttabel = 1,70. Sehingga hasil belajar siswa pada kelas yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran learning cycle lebih baik dari pada hasil belajar siswa pada kelas yang tanpa menggunakan model pembelajaran learning cycle. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan derajat depresi terhadap kebermaknaan hidup lansia di UPTD Panti Jompo Rumoh Seujahtra Geunaseh Sayang Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang bersifat analitik dengan rancangan cross-sectional survey. Sebanyak 60 responden mengikuti penelitian ini pada rentang waktu September-Oktober 2014 di UPTD Panti Jompo Rumoh Seujahtra Geunaseh Sayang Banda Aceh. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik total sampling. Alat ukur penelitian ini adalah kuesioner. Analisis statistik yang digunakan uji Chi-square. Data dianggap signifikan jika nilai p < 0,05. Pada hasil penelitian diperoleh sebagian besar responden 81,7% lansia dengan usia 60-74 tahun, dengan jenis kelamin terbanyak adalah perempuan sebesar 66,7%. Sebagian besar lansia memiliki kebermaknaan hidup yang buruk 55% dan terbanyak mengalami depresi sedang 43,3%. Faktor yang diteliti terdiri atas faktor konsentrasi air kelapa muda (0%, 10%, 15% dan 20%) dan spesies Trichoderma (Tanpa Trichoderma, Trichoderma harzianum, Trichoderma virens dan Trichoderma asperellum). Tolok ukur viabilitas dan vigor benih yang diamati meliputi potensi tumbuh maksimum (PTM), daya berkecambah (DB), kecepatan tumbuh relatif (KCT-R), keserempakan tumbuh (KST), waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk mencapai 50% kecambah total relatif (T50), indeks vigor (IV), berat basah kecambah normal (BBKN) dan berat kering kecambah normal (BKKN). Benih cabai kadaluarsa dengan perlakuan konsentrasi air kelapa muda 15% menunjukkan nilai terbaik terhadap peningkatan nilai viabilitas dan vigor benih cabai. Spesies Trichoderma harzianum menunjukkan nilai terbaik berdasarkan nilai viabilitas dan vigor benih cabai. Pada pemeriksaan radiologis sendi lutut pasien osteoartritis lutut, terdapat perubahan-perubahan sendi lutut yang dinilai menurut kriteria Kellgren dan Lawrence. Perubahan-perubahan pada sendi lutut ini dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor resiko diantaranya kegemukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari hubungan antara kegemukan sebagai faktor resiko yang diwakili oleh Indeks Masa Tubuh (IMT) dengan derajat osteoartritis lutut menurut Kellgren dan Lawrence.Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan desain cross sectional yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari-Maret 2012 di Poliklinik Reumatologi Penyakit Dalam Rumah Sakit Umum Derah dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh. Responden dalam penelitian sebanyak 53 orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh, persentase Dua puluh delapan pasien osteoartritis lutut yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi di SMF Ilmu Penyakit Dalam (Poli Reumatik) dan Instalasi Rehabilitasi Medik RS. Dr. Kariadi Semarang selama bulan Maret sampai April 2010, dilakukan penghitungan IMT dan pengklasifikasian derajat osteoartritis lutut menurut Kellgren dan Lawrence. Data dideskripsikan dalam bentuk tabel dan gambar, dilakukan uji Chi square dengan ? = 0,05, CI 95%, dan power 80% menggunakan SPSS for Windows 15.0. Hasil: Uji Chi square baik untuk IMT dengan derajat osteoartritis lutut unilateral maupun untuk IMT dengan derajat osteoartritis lutut bilateral menghasilkan nilai p = 1,000.Simpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara Indeks Masa Tubuh (IMT) dengan derajat osteoartritis lutut menurut Kellgren dan Lawrence. Kegemukan merupakan faktor resiko terhadap terjadinya osteoartritis lutut, tetapi bukan merupakan satu-satunya faktor yang menentukan derajat osteoartritis lutut.
