Seseorang petenis yang memiliki pukulan Servis yang baik dimungkinkan dapat memegang kendali permainan dan juga dapat mempertahankan bola bahkan bisa memenangkan suatu permainan. Untuk dapat melakukan pukulan Servis yang baik pelatih harus tahu unsur apa saja yang dapat menunjang tercapainya hasil pukulan Servis yang baik, akurat dan terkontrol. Evaluasi merupakan kegiatan yang terencana untuk mengetahui keadaan sesuatu obyek dengan menggunakan instrumen dan hasilnya dibandingkan dengan tolak ukur untuk memperoleh kesimpulan. Petanyaan penelitiannya adalah bagaimana tingkat kemampuan Servis pada atlet IMCT PT PIM Tahun 2014? Dan Apakah atlet IMCT PT PIM Tahun 2014 mampu melakukan Servis dengan baik dan benar? Untuk mengetahui sejauh mana kemampuan servis Atas Atlet IMCT PT PIM yang dimiliki atlet maka perlu dilakukan evaluasi kemampuan servis Atas Atlet IMCT PT PIM. Penelitian ini bertujuan Untuk mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan servis Atas Atlet IMCT PT PIM. Adapun penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian diskriptif, populasi dalam penelitan ini adalah seluruh atlet IMCT PT PIM Tahun 2014. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan item tes servis.
