Service excellent adalah pelayanan yang diberikan kepada pasien yang berdasarkan standar kualitas untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pasien sehingga memperoleh kepuasan yang akhirnya dapat meningkatkan kepercayaannya kepada rumah sakit. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui hubungan faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan motivasi perawat dalam memberikan service excellent di ruang rawat inap kelas III Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh tahun 2014. Jenis penelitian ini adalah survey analitik dengan desain Cross Sectional Study. Tehnik pengambilan sampel adalah simple random sampling yaitu 63 responden. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua perawat di ruang rawat inap kelas III Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh. Alat pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan kuesioner dalam bentuk dichotomi question. Data yang diperoleh diolah dengan menggunakan uji independensi Chi-Square dengan derajat kemaknaan (?) = 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan ada hubungan antara faktor penghargaan dengan motivasi perawat dalam memberikan service excellent (P=0,00 < 0,05), tidak ada hubungan antara faktor tanggung jawab dengan motivasi perawat dalam memberikan service excellent (P=0,286>0,05), ada hubungan antara faktor pemberian insentif dengan motivasi perawat dalam memberikan service excellent (P=0,035 < 0,05), tidak ada hubungan antara faktor kondisi kerja dengan motivasi perawat dalam memberikan service excellent (P=0,147 > 0,05) dan tidak ada hubungan antara faktor supervisi dengan motivasi perawat pelaksana dalam memberikan service excellent (P=0,208> 0,05). Peneliti menyarankan kepada manajemen keperawatan di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh agar memberi reward dan punishment yang layak kepada perawat pelaksana sehingga diharapkan mampu menciptakan pelayanan yang baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Penyusunan rencana peningkatan profesional guru dilakukan dalam suatu forum musyawarah pada setiap awal tahun ajaran dengan melibatkan semua personel sekolah. Program peningkatan profesional guru yang direncanakan adalah melaksanakan team teaching, melibatkan seluruh guru dalam aktivitas sekolah, mengelola administrasi siswa, sarana dan prasarana, melakukan supervisi, menanamkan disiplin, memberikan motivasi dan penghargaan yang sesuai. 2) Pelaksanaan program dilakukan oleh tim yang terdiri dari kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah dan guru senior. Pelaksanaan program diawali dengan pembagian tugas dan menjadikan perencanaan sebagai pedoman pelaksanaan. 3) Evaluasi dilaksanakan pada setiap akhir semester dengan terlebih dahulu membina guru untuk memahami kegiatan evaluasi, menunjukkan instrumen evaluasi dan mensosialisasikan kegiatan evaluasi. 4) Faktor pendukung dalam meningkatkan profesional guru adalah memiliki landasan yuridis formal, telah adanya sosialisasi tentang pentingnya profesional guru, adanya budaya gotong royong dan kemitraan dan potensi guru, dan adanya organisasi formal dan informal sekolah. sedangkan hambatan adalah kultur birokrasi yang kurang baik, produktivitas kerja masih rendah, output pendidikan kurang mampu bersaing, sarana dan prasarana masih kurang.Kata kunci: Strategi, Kepala Sekolah dan Profesional Guru.
