Namun demikian perlu dikaji lebih jauh bagaimana pemilu di kedua Negara tersebut dan apa yang menjadi penyebab perbedaan dan persamaan di kedua negara tersebut.Penulisan skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan sistem Pemilihan Umum yang dilaksanakan di Indonesia dan Australia. Untuk membahas dan mengetahui sistem penyelesaian sengketa hasil pemilu di Indonesia dan Australia.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan menggunakan metode yuridis komparatif. Untuk memperoleh data yang diperlukan dalam penulisan skiripsi ini dilakukan penelitian kepustakaan (Library Research), melalui penelaan bahan hukum primer, sekunder dan tersier yang kemudian data-data tersebut dianalisis secara kualitatif.Hasil penelitain menunjukkan bahwa sistem pemilu di Indonesia menggunakan sistem proporsional terbuka dan sistem distrik berwakil banyak dengan sistem kepartaian multi partai. Sedangkan di Australia menggunakan sistem proporsional dan sistem distrik berwakil sedikit, dan sistem Australia di setiap wilayah mempunyai sistem yang berbeda-beda yaitu sisitem voting First Past the Post, Voting Preferential dan Perwakilan Proporsional (Single Transferable Vote). dengan sistem kepartaian dua partai. Penyelesaian sengketa Pemilu di Australia sama-sama untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang terdapat dalam berjalanya proses pemilu, tetapi hanya saja di Indonesia dilaksanakan Oleh Mahkamah Konstitusi (MK) di Australia oleh Mahkamah Agung (High Court).
