Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah-masalah pada materi dimensi tiga khususnya materi sudut dalam ruang karena keabstraan materi. Dengan menggunakan media sekaligus model pembelajaran, diharapkan hasil belajar siswa dapat mengalami peningkatan. Oleh karena itu, penulis tertarik untuk mengadakan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan software Google SketchUp dan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan alat peraga pada materi dimensi tiga di kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Banda Aceh. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Banda Aceh. Adapun sampel yang diteliti diambil dua kelas secara purposif sampling yaitu siswa kelas X2 yang diajarkan melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan software Google SketchUp dan siswa kelas X3 yang diajarkan melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan alat peraga. Jenis penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan pre experiment design dengan jenis pre-test dan post-test group. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji-t dua pihak dengan taraf signifikan ? = 0,05, dengan mula-mula menguji homogenitas dan normalitas data. Berdasarkan analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan software Google SketchUp dan siswa yang diajarkan melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan alat peraga pada materi dimensi tiga di kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Banda Aceh. Rata-rata nilai hasil post-test siswa kelas X2 = 62,52 dan kelas X3 = 56,39, sehingga dapat disimpulkan hasil belajar siswa kelas X2 dengan software Google SketchUp lebih tinggi dari kelas X3 yang diajarkan dengan alat peraga.
