                <text>ABSTRAKBayi berat badan lahir rendah (BBLR) merupakan salah satu indikator dari tingkat kesehatan ibu dan anak, dan bayi dengan berat badan lahir rendah merupakan determinan utama pada kematian perinatal dan neonatal. Faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi BBLR, yaitu umur ibu, paritas, pertambahan berat badan ibu selama hamil, dan jenis kelamin bayi. Metode penilitian ini adalah deskriptif yaitu melihat gambaran bayi berat badan lahir rendah di RSUDZA banda Aceh.  Data penelitian menggunakan data sekunder yaitu rekam medik responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan karakteristik ibu yang melahirkan bayi dengan BBLR umumnya berusia 20-35 tahun (85,6%), memiliki paritas 2-3 (50,0%), jenis kelamin perempuan lebih banyak daripada laki-laki (71,4%), dan peningkatan berat badan ibu selama hamil</text>

                <text>Study of chemical characteristics and sensory evaluation of e Arabica coffee pawder (Coffea arabica L.) has been performed. The results showed that chemical characteristics significantly differed among varieties tested.  Variety Gayo 1 had water content 13.39%, the highest water content compared to Variety P88 and Variety Bergendal. Varieties Gayo 1 had fat content 5.66% and was significantly different from other two varieties. Caffeine levels were significantly different among varieties; Varieties P88  0.95%, Varieties Gayo 1 0.99%, Varieties Bergendal 1.09% but all varieties had met a standard caffeine content of coffee ground. Sensory evaluation using a quantitative descriptive analysis showed that coffee powder of Variety Gayo 1 was received by panelists on attributes of flavor, taste, and overall acceptance, while coffee powder of Variety Bergendal had a low value of the attributes tested.</text>

                <text>This study was aimed at examining the growth and yield of onion due to different spacing of red chili in intercropping system on the tsunami affected land. This research used a randomized block design of 4 x 2 with 3 replications. Factors studied were (1) red onion varieties, consisting of 4 levels: Juna Bima, Bima Curut, Warso and Kuning Tablet (2) spacing, consisting of 2 levels: 50 cm x 60 cm and 50 cm x 70 cm. Results showed that onion varieties in intercropping system with red chili exerted highly significant effects on plant height of red onion at age of 30 days after planting (DAP) and number of tillers at  age of 15 and 45 DAP, as well as on wet and dry weight of tuber, and exerted significant effects on plant height at 15 and 45 DAP, and number of tillers at age of 30 DAP. The best onion variety was Kuning Tablet.  Spacing distance of chili in intercropping system with red onion exerted highly significant effects on plant height of red chili at age 30 DAP, and a significant effect on plant height at 45 DAP and no significant effect on plant height and number of productive branches at age 60 DAP. </text>

                <text>Abstract. Communication skills and mathematical reasoning is one of the objectives of the study of mathematics. Communication is defined as the ability to write, read, listen, examine, interpret, and evaluate ideas, symbols, terms, and mathematical information. Mathematical reasoning is a habit when the brain is well developed and consistent will facilitate the mathematical communicate both written and oral. Therefore, the necessary relevant learning models to optimize, improve, and develop communication and mathematical reasoning abilities of students. One of the cooperative learning models is Teams Games Tournament (TGT). The aim of this study to determine: (1) Is the increase in communication and mathematical reasoning abilities that students acquire learning with cooperative learning model TGT better than students who received conventional learning approaches, and (2) What is the attitude of students towards learning mathematics learning gain with cooperative learning model TGT. This research was experimental research design with pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study was all students of class XI MAN Darussalam Aceh Besar, which consists of five classes. While the sample was composed of two classes of experimental classes and control classes were taken by random sampling. The instrument used to obtain research data communications test and mathematical reasoning ability, and attitude scale questionnaire. The statistical test used for the data mengalisis increase communication skills and mathematical reasoning was two lanes ANOVA test, while the attitude scale questionnaire was calculated based on a percentage. The results showed that the overall improvement of communication and mathematical reasoning abilities that students acquire learning with cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament better than students who received study with conventional approaches. From the results of student questionnaire concluded that in general the students had the positive attitude towards learning mathematics using cooperative learning model TGT.Key Word: Learning TGT, Communication, Reasoning</text>

                <text>ABSTRAKKata kunci: Metode demonstrasi, keterampilan siswa  Metode demonstrasi adalah  metode mengajar dengan cara memperagakan barang, kejadian, aturan, urutan melakukan kegiatan, baik langsung maupun melalui penggunaan media pengajaran yang relevan  dengan  materi yang disajikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktifitas guru, aktifitas siswa, dan respon siswa dengan menggunakan metode demonstrasi pada materi pembuatan telur asin. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan 4 tahapan yaitu: Perencanaan, Pelaksanaan, Observasi dan Refleksi yang Pelaksanaannya  dilakukan dengan 3 siklus melalui pendekatan kualitatif. Adapun yang menjadi subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah, siswa kelas VIII-1 SMP Negeri 3 Juli Bireuen, yang berjumlah 25 orang. Berdasarkan  hasil  ketuntasan belajar 25 siswa dalam proses pembuatan telur asin dengan metode demonstrasi pada kondisi pra siklus diperoleh nilai rata-rata keseluruhan berjumlah 60.8 katagori (Cukup).Siswa yang tuntas berjumlah 14 orang, dengan nilai rata-rata 72,85 katagori (Baik Sekali), dengan persentase (56%), dan yang  belum mencapai ketuntasan berjumlah 11 orang, memperoleh nilai rata-rata 58,18 (Cukup) dengan persentase (44%). Ditinjau dari hasil analisis data pada Siklus I, nilai  ketuntasan siswa keseluruhan berada  pada  skor  rata-rata 69,8 katagori (baik), siswa yang tuntas berjumlah 17 orang, dengan nilai rata-rata 72,94, katagori (baik Sekali) dengan persentase (68%),  sedangkan 8 orang lainnya memperoleh nilai rata-rata 63,13 katagori (Cukup) dengan persentase (32%).  Selanjutnya pada  Siklus II, nilai ketuntasan keseluruhan siswa rata-rata berada pada scor 74 katagori (baik sekali), siswa yang telah tuntas berjumlah 21 orang, dengan nilai rata-rata 75,71 (Baik Sekali), dengan  persentase (84%), sedangkan 4 orang lainnya memiliki nilai 65 katagori (Baik), dengan persentase (16%). Dengan  demikian ketuntasan belajar siswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode demonstrasi pada pembuatan telur asin,  pada setiap siklus mengalami peningkatan, dan respon siswa terhadap pelaksanaan metode demonstrasi pada pembuatan telur asin sangat baik. Disarankan kepada guru mata pelajaran keterampilan untuk selalu menerapkan metode demonstrasi.</text>

Maka untuk mengatasi hal tersebut dengan mengajarkan siswa metode pemecahan masalah dengan model pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kemampuan siswa memecahkan masalah melalui model pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah dikelas VII SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh. Jenis pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan Pre-eksperimental design jenis pre-test and post-test Group. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013 dan sampel diambil secara purposive sampling satu kelas dan diambil kelas VII-3 yang berjumlah 23 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik tes, observasi kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran, observasi aktivitas siswa dan angket respon. Data yang tercantum dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari hasil jawaban siswa terhadap soal yang diberikan yang berbentuk essay. Pengolahan data menggunakan teknik statistik sederhana dalam bentuk perhitungan nilai rata-rata (mean). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan rata-rata  siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh dalam pemecahan masalah matematika dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah sebelum perlakuan diperoleh 21,52 dan rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah sesudah perlakuan (post-test) diperoleh 32,78. Dengan demikian, kemampuan rata-rata siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 dalam pemecahan masalah matematika telah mengalami peningkatan. Dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah pada materi segitiga.</text>

                <text>Vegetables is one of popular food for people in Indonesia. It is usually consumed in the form of fresh plant or after going through the process of cooking such as boiling, steaming and stirring-fry. Vegetable also contains many antioxidant components such as ascorbic acid, carotenoids, flavonoids, melanoidin, certain organic acids, reducing agents, peptides, tannin and tocopherol. Factor in this study is a type of vegetable and method of heating. Types of vegetable used i.e. S1 = Eggplant, S2 = Carrots, S3 = Broccoli and heating method comprising: P1 = without heating, P2 = boiling, P3 = steaming and P4 = stirring-fry. The results showed that the type of vegetable and methods of heating, as well as the interaction between the type of vegetable and method of heating gave very real effect on antioxidant activity. Effect of heating (boiling, steaming and stirring-airy) in some vegetables (eggplant, carrots and broccoli) gave different antioxidant activity.  </text>
