Berbagai usha telah dilakukan untuk mengatasi pencemaran logam berat ini. Salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan adalah metode adsorpsi menggunakan arang aktif. Beberapa produk samping pertanian berpotensi sebagai adsorben, salah satunya adalah cangkang buah coklat (Theobroma cacao L.). Pada penelitian ini, cangkang buah coklat yang digunakan sebagai adsorben Cd (II) telah diaktivasi dengan asam sitrat 0,5 M dan NH4OH 1 M. Parameter yang diujikan adalah aktivasi adsorben, konsentrasi ion logam Cd (II) dan waktu kontak. Kondisi optimum yang diperoleh untuk adsorben C-sitrat adalah pada menit ke-45 dan C-amonia pada menit ke-60 dengan persentase adsorpsi masing-masing 99,62% dan 95,80%. Tipe isoterm yang dianut oleh adsorben C-amonia adalah tipe isoterm Freundlich dan adsorben C-sitrat menganut tipe isoterm Langmuir dan Freundlich dengan linearitas ? 90%.Kata kunci : Logam berat, Theobroma cacao L, Uji adsorpsiABSTRACTHeavy metal waste generated from various industrial processes pose many problems for the environment. Various attempts have been made to overcome this heavy metal pollution. One of the methods that can be used is the adsorption method using activated charcoal. Some potential agricultural byproducts as adsorbents, one of which is the brown fruit shell (Theobroma cacao L.). In this study, the fruit shell of chocolate used as adsorbents of Cd (II) has been modified with citric acid 0,5 M and 1 M NH4OH is the activation parameters of the tested adsorbent, metal ion concentration of Cd (II) and contact time. The optimum conditions were obtained for the C-citrate adsorbent is at minute 45 and C-ammonia in the 60th minute with a percentage of adsorption, respectively 99,62% and 95.80%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pupuk Guano dan pupuk NPK terhadap perubahan sifat kimia tanah dan pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit pada media tumbuh sub-soil. Percobaan dilakukan di dalam pot (polibag) dengan menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) faktorial 4 x 3 dalam 3 ulangan. Ada dua faktor yang diteliti yaitu faktor dosis pemberian pupuk Guano dengan empat taraf, yaitu : 0 kg, 0,5 kg, 1,0 kg, dan 1,5 kg/polibag dan faktor dosis pemberian pupuk NPK yang terdiri atas tiga taraf, yaitu : 0, 15, dan 30 g/polibag. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tanah subsoil dapat digunakan untuk media pembibitan dengan aplikasi pupuk Guano dan pupuk NPK. Dosis pupuk Guano dan pupuk NPK mempengaruhi beberapa sifat kimia tanah yaitu peningkatan pH tanah, C dan N total dan P tersedia, dan Kapasitas Tukar Kation (KTK) serta berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit umur 16 hari setelah tanam. Kombinasi perlakuan yang memberikan pertumbuhan bibit terbaik diperoleh pada pemberian 1,0 kg Guano + 30 kg Pupuk NPK (Mutiara). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran suamimenurut istri dalam pemakaian alat kontrasepsi sebagai motivator, fasilitator danedukator. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Deskriptifdengan besar sampel sebanyak 35 orang dengan metode convenience sampling.Pengumpulan data ini dilakukan mulai bulan Maret 2013 sampai April 2013.Instrumen dalam penelitian ini berupa kuesioner yang meliputi data demografidan pertanyaan mengenai peran suami. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mayoritasperan suami menurut istri dalam program KB sebagai motivator kurang baik(53.3%), sebagai fasilitator kurang baik (73.3%), dan sebagai edukator kurangbaik (53.3%). Penelitian ini membahas aplikasi sistem dinamik untuk mensimulasikan dan memproyeksikan jumlah dan komposisi penduduk Kota Banda Aceh berdasarkan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan penduduk yaitu kelahiran, kematian, dan migrasi. Simulasi dan proyeksi dilakukan dengan software Vensim PLE versi 6.0.1c. Langkah-langkah yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah membuat model simulasi dan analisa hasil simulasi untuk proyeksi penduduk Kota Banda Aceh hingga tahun 2100. It requires a method to projecting not only number of the population, but also the composition of the population in a region. This study tells about the application of dynamical system to simulate and project the number and composition of the population of Banda Aceh based on factors that influence population growth is births, deaths, and migration. This simulation and projection is done by Vensim PLE 6.0.1c. The step in this study is to create a simulation model and an analysis of the result of the projected population of Banda Aceh by 2100.
