Those skills are the aspects of assessment to evaluate the achievement of teaching learning process that implements SSCS models. The study was aimed to determine the increase in student achievement, scientific generic skills, and correlation between the skills and the learning outcomes  of students of class VII of MTsN Model Banda Aceh in 2013 in concept of classification of living things  throught implementing SSCS model. The study used experimental method with randomized control group pretest - posttest design . The study used two classes experimental-group and control-group classes chosen according to pretest scores. Data was collected pretest, posttest and scientific generic assessment The results showed that the value of tcount> ttable  (5,8 > 1,6). This indicated that there was a significant increase in students learning outcome. The value of t-count of communication aspect (1),  coorporation aspect (2,7), and problem solving skills (3,4). The correlation among  communication , cooperation  and problem solving skills was high ( r = 0,7).  Therefore it can be concluded that there were increases in student achievement and scientific generic skills and correlation between scientific generic skills and cognitive student learning outcomes except communication aspect. One way to improve the teaching quality is by applying various innovative strategies. One of the innovative teaching strategies is contextual learning. Contextual teaching strategy is a teaching strategy which emphasize on students’ activity in learning, so that students can memorize the material for longer time and can get better achievement. This research aimed to figure out the improvement of students’ achievement in Human Reproduction Concept at MTs Negeri 1 Matangglumpangdua. This research used two cycles with four components: planning, acting, observing and reflecting. Test was conducted at the end of each cycle. Data was analyzed qualitatively by using descriptive statistic. The result shows that the average of cycle 1 increased from 70,00 to 76,09 at cycle 2. Students give positive responses 72,28%; 75, 82%; 73,39% and  71,16% to attention indicator, interest indicator, possitive belief indicator and satisfaction indicator (agreement scale) respectively. Finally, it is recommended that contextual learning is suitable to be used in Human Reproduction Concept. Nevertheless, contextual learning strategy shouldn’t be applied continously to different materials to avoid student’s boredom. Data penelitian digunakan data primer, yang dihimpun dengan menggunakan daftar pertanyaan (koesioner). Selain itu, juga dimanfaatkan data sekunder berupa data dari BPS Aceh, dan Dinas Pertanian dan Peternakan Kabupaten Bireuen. Responden terdiri dari 34 pelaku usaha penggilingan padi yang ditentukan secara purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan model fungsi produksi Cobb-Douglas menunjukkan bahwa modal dan tenaga kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap produksi beras. Selanjutnya, 80,7 persen proporsi perubahan dalam produksi dapat dijelaskan oleh variabel modal dan variabel tenaga kerja, sisanya 19,3 persen dijelaskan oleh variabel di luar model (seperti jasa pengelolaan dan tingkat teknologi). This research aims to synthesize kitosan resin resulted by the reaction of kitosan with etilendamin. In the present work chitosan was cross-linked with glutardialdehyde and subsequently treated with epichlorohydrine and ethylene diamine. The resins CR-amine was found to contain 22.7% water content,  and were insoluble in organic solvents as well as in mineral and organic acids. The concentration values of the active sites on the resins are reported. The higher concentration of active sites of CR-amine 6.01 mmol/g indicates that the “en” moieties are covalently bonded to the cross-linked resin. Several chemical modification methods were tried in increasing the uptake capacity of cross-linked chitosan bead. Among them, aminated chitosan beads formed through the chemical reaction using ethylenediamine showed the highest uptake capacity for gold ions. Uptake capacity of aminated chitosan beads was increased to about 0.8 mmol Au3+ g-1 dry mass compared to that before modification. The increase of amine groups was confirmed by IR spectrum and measurement of amine concentration and surface condition on aminated chitosan bead was also confirmed by  SEM.
