Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Research and Development PT. Syngenta, Desa Balonggandu Kecamatan Jati Sari Kabupaten Karawang Jawa Barat, sejak April sampai dengan Juli 2013. Rancangan yang digunakan ialah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) non faktorial yang diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Faktor yang diteliti ialah dosis herbisida glifosat 0,82, 1,64 dan 2,48 L ha-1, dosis herbisida paraquat 1,08, 3,6 dan 5,4 L ha-1, penyiangan 3 dan 6 MST dan kontrol. Aplikasi herbisida dilakukan pada saat 7 hari sebelum tanam dan 28 hari setelah tanam. Peubah yang diamati ialah bobot kering gulma, efikasi herbisida terhadap gulma, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang, panjang tongkol, diameter tongkol, bobot tongkol, bobot biji kering per tongkol dan hasil jagung.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi herbisida glifosat dan paraquat berpengaruh terhadap bobot kering gulma, efikasi herbisida terhadap gulma, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang, diameter tongkol, bobot tongkol, bobot biji kering per tongkol dan hasil jagung, namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap panjang tongkol.Perlakuan TOT dengan menggunakan glifosat dan paraquat dapat menekan pertumbuhan gulma dan memacu pertumbuhan tanaman jagung. Perlakuan herbisida glifosat dengan dosis 1,64 L ha-1 cukup efektif dalam menekan gulma dan hasil jagung tertinggi 7,93 ton ha-1 dan perlakuan herbisida paraquat dengan dosis 3,6 L ha-1 efektif dalam mengendalikan gulma dan meningkatkan pertumbuhan serta hasil jagung sebanyak 7,13 ton ha-1. Pd.ABSTRAK Strategi kepala sekolah dapat dilakukan melalui peningkatan kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) sesuai dengan kebutuhan sekolah dan dunia pendidikan secara spesifik, dengan melakukan penyesuaian agar pendidikan dan sekolah mampu untuk berkembang dan maju.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru, dengan meliputi: Disiplin; Kompetensi; dan Tanggung jawab guru. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, guru dan pengawas pada SMP Negeri 2 Sigli Kabupaten Pidie. Hasil penelitiannya ditemukan: (1) Program strategi kepala sekolah dalam mengatasi masalah guru yang tidak disiplin yaitu menegakkan tata tertib, membina komunikasi, menciptakan kondisi yang menyenangkan, dan memberikan contoh teladan dengan hadir tepat waktu; (2) Program strategi kepala sekolah dalam mengatasi masalah guru yang tidak berkompetensi yaitu dengan memanggil guru yang bersangkutan untuk dibina, dinasehati, pengarahan dan pelatihan agar mempergunakan media yang inovatif sehingga peserta didik memiliki motivasi tinggi dalam mengikuti pembelajaran di kelas; dan (3) Program strategi kepala sekolah dalam mengatasi masalah tanggung jawab guru yaitu dengan cara mengadakan pelatihan bagi guru yang belum teratur dalam menjabar RPP dan silabus, bahkan kepala sekolah meminta bantuan kepada pengawas atau dinas terkait untuk mensosialisasikan guru dalam peningkatan administrasi pembelajaran. Factors investigated were growth media composition with a ratio of 1:1:1 (soil, compost, sand), (soil, compost, and rice husk), (soil, compost, saw dust), and Novelgro concentration of 0, 1, 2 and 3 cc/L of water.  Results showed that there was a significant effect of growth media composition on plant growth and leaf number  at  35, 45 and 55 day after planting (DAP), stem diameter at 45 and 55 DAP, fresh weight, dry weight and dry weight of root, but the media composition did not show significant  effect on plant growth and leaf number at 25 DAP and stem diameter at 25, 35 DAP. The best growth was found at media composition of soil, compost and sand with a ratio of 1:1:1.  Fertilizer concentration significantly affected stem diameter at 25 DAP but did not show a significant affect on plant growth and leaf number at 25, 35, 45, and 55 DAP, stem diameter at 35, 45, and 55 DAP, fresh weight, dry weight and dry weight of root. Plant growth was best at a fertilizer concentration of 2cc/L of water. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa varietas berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 15 dan 30 HST. Tanaman kedelai lebih tinggi diperoleh pada varietas Grobogan dan Anjasmoro. Jarak tanam hanya berpengaruh nyata pada tinggi tanaman  umur 45 HST, tanaman tertinggi diperoleh pada penggunaan jarak tanam 20 cm x30 cm. Terdapat interaksi yang nyata antara varietas dan jarak tanam terhadap jumlah polong per tanaman, jumlah polong bernas per tanaman dan berat biji per tanaman.  Hasil terbaik diperoleh pada varietas Anjasmoro dengan jarak tanam 40 cm x 40 cm.The Effect of Some Varieties and Spacing on Growth of Soybean (Glycine Max (L.) Merrill)ABSTRACT.  The aims of this study were to determine the effect of varieties and spacing and its interaction on growth and yield of soybeans. Randomized Completely Block Design  (RCBD)  3x3 factorial with three replications was applied. Factors studied were varieties: Anjosmoro, Grobogan, and Kipas Merah, and spacing factor of 20 cm x 30 cm, 20 cm x 40 cm, and 40 cm x 40 cm. Variables observed were soybean plant height age of 15, 30 and 45 DAP, the number of pods per plant, number of pods per plant and weight seeds per plant. The results showed varieties effected plant height on 15 and 30 DAP significantly, which higher than Grobogan and Anjosmoro. Meanwhile spacing simply effect plant height on 45 DAP significantly. The highest plant found on 20 cm x 20 cm spacing. There were interaction significantly between varieties and spacing on the number of pods per plant and weight dry seed per plant. Suatu penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui varietas dan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair Enviro Plus yang tepat terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tomat, serta untuk mengetahui interaksi kedua faktor tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial 3x3 dengan 3 ulangan. Ada 2 faktor yang diteliti yaitu varietas (Permata, Montero dan Niki) dan pupuk organik cair (0,5; 1,5; dan 2,5 cc L-1 air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa varietas berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap  tinggi tanaman umur 15, 30 dan 45 HST, jumlah bunga per tandan umur 37 HST, jumlah buah per tanaman umur  57 HST dan total bobot buah per tanaman. Pertumbuhan dan hasil terbaik diperoleh  pada varietas Niki. Konsentrasi pupuk organik cair Enviro Plus berpengaruh nyata terhadap diameter batang umur 15 HST dan total bobot buah per tanaman.
