Sehingga besarnya sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 67 orang petani. Hasil penelitian Minat petani menghasilkan variasi biji kakao basah termasuk dalam katagori rendah. Minat petani menghasilkan variasi biji kering tanpa fermentasi termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Minat petani menghasilkan variasi biji kakao kering fermentasi termasuk dalam kategori rendah. Faktor-faktor yang memiliki hubungan nyata dengan minat menghasilkan variasi produk biji kakao basah, adalah luas lahan (X4), Jumlah tanggungan (X5), dan kebutuhan (X6). Faktor-faktor yang memiliki hubungan nyata dengan minat menghasilkan variasi produk biji kakao kering tanpa fermentasi adalah pengalaman (X3), dan akses informasi (X8).
