The PFAD has a high potential to be used as raw material for biofuel by catalytic cracking because it is a long-chain hydrocarbon. This research aims to study the influence of time and temperature conversion reaction to catalytic cracking reaction using zeolite catalyst synthesis. The PFAD cracking was taken place in a batch stirred tank reactor at the temperature of 240, 260, 280, 300oC for 60, 80, 100, 120 minutes. The changes in functional groups of cracking products were analyzed using FTIR (Fourier Transform Infra Red), while the analysis of components contained in the product was conducted using GCMS (Gas Chromatography Mass Spectra) analysis. The highest reaction conversion result (98.7%) was obtained at a temperature of 280oC and the reaction time of 100 minutes. The purpose of this study was to determine the magnitudeof the sound absorption value using the Sabine formula in Reverberation Chamber at Syiah Kuala University acoustic laboratory. The result of this study show that peak value curve sound absorption of 0.67 accurs at the frequency of 250 Hz, and painting of the panel surface can increase the value of sound absorption to be 0.76 at the frequency of 250 Hz,but the slope of sound absorption value sharply decreased to be 0.07at the frequency of 1000 Hz. The concentration of chitosan and gliserol added to solution were set as constant variable as 20 and 10 wt %, respectively. The temperature of gelatinitation was also fixed at 95OC. The fabricated of bioplastic film were characterized for mechanical property such as tensile strength, elongation at break and Modulus Young by using a  Universal Testing Machine. The  morphology of film sheets were observed by using a scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Moreover, the obtained film was also investigated for water uptake parameter. The result showed that the mechanical properties were improve by increasing mixing rate at smallest particle sizes of starch. The water uptakes shows decrease at hight mixing rate. SEM images showed that the morphology of bioplastic was almost simmilar to the morphology of  HDPE.  The optimum condition was found that the best film was obtained at particle size of starch 63 micron, Reynold Number of  959, with mixing rate of  375 rpm. The effects of parameters such as the initial concentration of alkali in the solution and the liquid – gas ratio on the CO2 absorbed flux were experimentally and theoretically investigated. A theoretical study has been performed using a mathematical model based on the absorption in the liquid droplet with instantaneous reaction, in the inlet duct of the cyclone and in the cyclone itself. Bentonit terpilar alumina yang diperoleh mempunyai luas permukaan spesifik (72,42 m2/gram) yang lebih besar dibanding dengan bentonit tidak terpilar. Uji aktivitas katalitis bentonit terpilar alumina pada reaksi dehidrasi etanol, 1-propanol dan 2-propanol dilakukan pada suhu 200°C - 400°C. Suhu optimum reaksi dehidrasi etanol, 1-propanol dan 2-propanol menggunakan katalis bentonit terpilar alumina berturutturut adalah 250, 400 dan 200°C dengan konsentrasi dietil eter 25,44; 2,31 dan 3,29%. Studi ini bertujuan untuk membuat dan mengevaluasi karakteristik membran PAN untuk aplikasi pada pengolahan air berwarna. Membran PAN berbentuk plat dibuat dengan melarutkan polimer PAN kedalam dimetilformamida (DMF). Konsentrasi PAN divariasikan pada 15, 20, dan 25 (% berat). Membran yang dihasilkan selanjutnya dikarakterisasi untuk parameter struktur morfologi dengan scanning electron microscopy (SEM), fluks dan rejeksi larutan menggunakan modul filtrasi tipe dead-end. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji molecular weight cut-off (MWCO) membran menggunakan larutan dekstran dengan berat molekul 9500, 19500, dan 39000 Da. Hasil uji SEM menunjukkan bahwa membran mempunyai pori dengan struktur asimetrik. Uji ultrafiltrasi yang diawali dengan proses koagulasi dapat merejek warna air 92,5%, dengan perolehan fluks mencapai 364,8 ml/m2.s. Khitosan yang digunakan adalah hasil deasetilasi khitin dari kulit udang. Pembuatan membran komposit khitosan berikatan silang dilakukan dengan variasi komposisi PVP:khitosan dan variasi konsentrasi asam sulfat yang digunakan sebagai pembentuk ikatan silang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komposisi PVP:khitosan optimum adalah 0,1:2 (b/b) dengan persen penyerapan sebesar 88,62% dan konsentrasi optimum H2SO4 adalah 0,5 N. Waktu kontak dan pH optimum diperoleh pada 15 menit dan pH 4. Kinetika adsorpsi dipelajari berdasarkan persen adsorpsi pada pH yang berbeda dan mekanisme adsorpsi yang terjadi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi H+ dan gugus amino yang ada pada khitosan mempengaruhi laju adsorpsi, dimana semakin besar konsentrasi H+ dan gugus amino semakin besar laju adsorpsi, sehingga kinetika adsorpsi fenol merupakan orde 2. A total of six sampling stations were selected for this study. The discharge and hidrological data were obtained from Perum Jasa Tirta II Jatiluhur. The results showed that the hydrological regime in the reservoir Jatiluhur was affected by global phenomenon La Nina events in 2010 and early in 2011. Stream flows were determined during sampling to range from 78  to 482.5 m3/s. The water quality findings were as follows: pH (6.93-8.81), temperature (26.37-30.6°C), dissolved oxygen (0.733-5.2 mg/l), conductivity (2.45-233µmhos/cm), COD (7.36-96.9 mg/l), turbidity (4.063-65.6 NTU), total phosphate (0.002-0.324 mg/l), total nitrogen (0.99-5.96 mg/l), chlorophyl (2.237-43.37 mg/m3), visibility (30-160 cm). The eutrophication was pronounced at Jatiluhur reservoir. Canonical Correspendence Analysis found that some water quality parameters correlated positively with the discharge and the water level.
