Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah 1. Apakah dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAI dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu di Kelas VIII-5 SMP Negeri 1 Peukan Bada. 2. Apakah dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAI dapat mencerminkan aktifitas guru dan siswa. 3. Bagaimana keterampilan guru dalam mengelola proses pembelajaran melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAI. 4. Bagaimana respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAI. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAI pada mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu Kelas VIII-5 di SMP Negeri 1 Peukan Bada, untuk mengetahui aktivitas guru dan siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAI, untuk mengetahui keterampilan guru dalam mengelola proses pembelajaran melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAI dan untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAI. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan: Ada peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Peukan Bada pada mata pelajaran IPS terpadu materi Lingkungan Hidup dan Pelestariannya serta Pembangunan Berwawasan Lingkungan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran tipe TAI. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 65,00 persen pada siklus pertama menjadi 90,00 persen pada siklus kedua. Ketuntasan individual juga terjadi peningkatan mulai dari siklus pertama sebesar 70 persen, menjadi 90 persen pada siklus kedua.
