Bahan restorasi yang biasanya digunakan bermacam-macam tergantung letak kavitas dan fungsi dari pada gigi tersebut, seperti resin komposit dan Glass Ionomer Cements (GIC). Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui frekuensi penggunaan GIC dan resin komposit sebagai restorasi gigi tetap di Puskesmas Jeulingke Kota Banda Aceh pada tahun 2014. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Sampel penelitian adalah rekam medis pasien dari subjek yang akan diteliti. Total subjek penelitian yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi sebanyak 271 orang, dengan penggunaan tumpatan GIC 127 orang dan resin komposit 144 orang. Tahap penelitian dengan cara memperoleh rekam medis dari poli gigi untuk mendapatkan data sekunder mengenai pasien yang melakukan restorasi gigi berupa GIC dan resin komposit pada tahun 2014. Analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis univariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan resin komposit adalah penggunaan restorasi gigi tetap terbanyak dengan jumlah 48 orang dalam kelompok usia 11-20 tahun.Kata kunci: Restorasi gigi tetap, GIC, resin komposit.
