Pada umumnya kematian disebabkan karena dehidrasi akibat kehilangan cairan dan elektrolit tubuh secara berlebihan. Kejadian pada anak terus meningkat di Indonesia menggambarkan bahwa terbatasnya kesadaran dan pengetahuan ibu akan kebersihan dalam pencegahan diare salah satunya kurangnya pemahaman mengenai cara cuci tangan secara baik dan benar menggunakan air bersih dan mengalir. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan cuci tangan dengan kejadian diare pada batita di Puskesmas Darul Imarah Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik observasional dengan desain cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel secara non probability sampling dengan teknik accidental sampling, sampel pada penelitian ini terdiri dari 40 responden dengan uji statistik yang digunakan chi square test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan batita yang menderita diare adalah sebanyak 24 batita (60%), ibu yang perilaku cuci tangan yang kurang baik 82,4% batita mengalami diare, dan ibu yang perilaku cuci tangan baik hanya 43,5% batita mengalami diare, (p-value = 0,013). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru senior/ketua MGMP, serta guru-guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Program Kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru dengan menjalankan MGMP. Selain itu, sekolah juga mengirim guru-guru untuk mengikuti pelatihan-pelatihan, seminar/workshop yang dilaksanakan oleh Dinas Pendidikan kabupaten maupun Provinsi. (2) Strategi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah melalui beberapa upaya antara lain melalui pembinaan pelatihan-pelatihan keterampilan terhadap guru-guru, pemberian motivasi dan pembinaan disiplin tenaga kependidikan. (3) Kebijakan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru dilaksanakan dengan melibatkan guru-guru dalam hal menyusun visi dan misi sekolah, sasaran sekolah, merumuskan kurikulum sekolah. The objective of this research was to study the influence of salinity and buoyancy on hatchability of milkfish eggs (Chanos-chanos). The completely random design was used this study. Two factors i.e. salinity and buoyancy were tested where the salinity with three levels oncentration; 16, 23 and 30 ppt, while the buoyancy with three egg buoyancy categories i.e. floating, drifting and sinking with three replicates respectively. The result showed that the hatchability of floating eggs in tested salinities were 76,7% ; 78,75% ; 91,7%, for 16, 23 and 30 ppt, respectively. Then drifting eggs were 65,3%; 67,0%; 77,0% and sinking eggs were 54,0% ; 55,3% ; 65,0% for 16, 23 and 30 ppt, respectively. In generally, the hatchability was increased with increasing of salinity. WHO predicted that on 2015, 2,3 billions adults will be overweight and 700 millions will be obesed. Obesity also correlates with several health risk such as cardiovascular disorders, renal, metabolic, and inflammatory responses. The goal of this study was to investigate the knowledge about obesity and complication among patients in endocrine policlinic of dr. Zainoel Abidin Hospital Banda Aceh. This study was descriptive with samples was taken by accidental random sampling . Data was collected from 20 Mei 2011 to 17 Juni 2011 in endocrine policlinic of dr. Zainoel Abidin Hospital. The study was done by giving the questionnaire in the form of multiple choice consist of 18 items of questions. The results obtained knowledge of patients in endocrine policlinic of dr. Zainoel Abidin Hospital Banda Aceh was good (58%), on complication of obesity was good (54%), on the prevention of obesity was good (78%), but on the definition of obesity was poor (45%), on the etiology of obesity was poor (47%) and on symptoms of obesity was poor (49%).
