The aimof this study was to evaluate the condition of coral reefs and macro invertebrates at Ujong Pancu, Aceh Besar District The study was carried out from April to May 152012. Coral coverage was observed by using Point Intercept Trancect method and Visual census technique for macro invertebrates. There was 50% of hard coral coverage recorded in three observation locations. The predominant genus was Acropora with a percentage of  more than 50% at all locations. The abundance of macro invertebrateswas ranged from 3.75 to 7.75 ind/transect. The most abundant macro invertebrates was Diadema setosum with percentage of more than 40% at each location. The diversity index (H’) of coral reefs and macro invertebrates were ranged from 0.74 - 1.36 and 0.98 – 1.5, respectively. In general, the condition of coral reefs and macro invertebrates in Ujong Pancu was in good condition. Keywords: Coral reefs; Macro invertebrates; Ujong Pancu. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi terumbu karang dan makro invertebrata di Ujong Pancu. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan April hingga Mei 2012. Tutupan karang diamati dengan menggunakan Metode Point Intercept Transect (PIT) dan makro invertebrata diamati dengan menggunakan metode TeknikVisual Sensus. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa lebih dari 50% tutupan karang keras pada ketiga stasiun pengamatan. Genus yang paling mendominasi pada ketiga stasiun adalah Acropora dengan persentase lebih dari 20% pada setiap stasiun pengamatan. Kelimpahan makro avertebrata berkisar antara 3,75 hingga 7,75 ind/transek. Kelimpahan makro invertebrata terbesar adalah Diadema setosum dengan persentase lebih dari 40% pada setiap stasiun pengamatan. Indeks keanekaragaman (H’) karang dan makro investebrata berkisar antara  0,74 - 1.36 dan 0,98 – 1,5 secara berurutan. Secara umum berdasarkan indeks yang digunakan, kondisi terumbu karang dan makro invertebrata di Ujong Pancu tergolong baik.Kata kunci : Terumbu Karang; Makro avertebrata; Ujong Pancu. The objectives were to evaluate single plant vs. multiple plant measurement procedure for EFP and DMAR, plus changes the selection traits, physiological and morphological characteristics, and plant yield. The two sampling techniques and all data analysis procedures resulted in a similar ranks of kernel size, DMAR, and EFP. The best estimate of maximum kernel size was at black layer maturity. The nonlinear procedure estimated EFP better than did other procedures. Compared to C0, DMAR was increased 31.5% and reduced 36% for the C5 high and low DMAR subpopulations, respectively. The kernel size of high and low DMAR in C5 differed by 105.4%. Long EFP selections tended to decreased DMAR. Compared to C0, EFP was increased 11.3% and reduced 8.8% for the C5 long and short EFP subpopulations, respectively. The EFP differences between long and short EFP selections was 22.1%. Duration differences occured almost exclusively in the late lag phase. Yield of the long EFP and high DMAR selections were equal to C0 but significantly greatert than short EFP and low DMAR selections. Yield was positively correlated with kernel size, DMAR, and EFP. Kernel size was correlated with DMAR and yield. Pada penelitian ini digunakan 2 buah otak sapi perah peranakan Friesien Holstein (FH) dewasa dengan umur 7-8 tahun yang pada saat disembelih kondisi ovarinya menunjukkan fase folikuler (1 buah otak) dan fase luteal (1 buah otak). Analisis kandungan GnRH dilakukan dengan metode enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) indirect. Ada beberapa obat antijamur yang dapat digunakan untuk perawatan kandidiasis oral, namun harganya tergolong mahal dan berisiko terjadinya efek samping seperti mual, nyeri, dan terjadinya resistensi obat antijamur. Alternatif lain yang sering digunakan oleh masyarakat untuk mengobati penyakit akibat infeksi mikroorgamisme adalah obat-obat yang berasal dari tanaman herbal. Salah satu tanaman herbal yang memiliki kasiat antijamur adalah buah jamblang (Syzygium cumini). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Standart Plate Count (SPC) untuk melihat KHM dan KBM ekstrak buah jamblang terhadap pertumbuhan candida albicans. Buah jamblang diekstraksi dengan metode sokletasi dan dibuat pengenceran bervariasi yaitu 25, 50, 75, dan 100%. Candida albicans yang telah dikultur pada media SDA dipaparkan dengan ekstrak dan diinkubasi pada suhu 370C selama 48 jam. Hasil penelitian menggunakan uji analisis Anova One-Way menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak Syzygium cumini berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan C. albicans. Konsentrasi terkecil terjadinya penurunan pertumbuhan koloni C.albicans adalah ekstrak Syzygium cumini pada konsentrasi 25%, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai KHM terdapat pada konsentrasi 25% dan KBM pada konsentrasi 100%.
