Hasilpenelitian diolah dengan menggunakan SPSS versi 16 menunjukkan bahwafaktor volume penjualan dan harga jual berpengaruh positif dan signifikanterhadap pendapatan sedangkan faktor modal berpengaruh positif tetapi tidaksignifikan terhadap pendapatan. Sedangkan secara simultan variabel modal,volume penjualan dan harga jual mempengaruhi pendapatan. We reflected from a project on incorporating farmers’ indigenous knowledge into sustainable agriculture development in small islands context and four times visits in Kisar island (1999-2011). Critical question raised is to what extent the knowledge is valid and relevance. The notion of the study was a phenomenological study. A phenomenological analysis is purely description of an immediate lived experience and an expression of its meaning (Berger and Luckman, 1976; van Manen, 1990). Rationality in phenomenology is justified by an understanding of the essence of such experience rather than just causal explanation. It recognizes the important of the context and the individual construction of perception and meaning in that context. Snowball technique was applied to find the respondents or indigenousknowledge holders. Data analysis was conducted descriptively using Ethnograph v.6. The results showed that the farmers forecast the rainfall by observing the onzet and the appearance of the Pleiades stars or the seven sisters and gauging the size and the brightness of the seventh sister of the Pleiades to predictthe characteristics of the rainfall. Penelitian ini menggunakan 15 ekor DOC ayam broiler yang dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok perlakuan dengan 3 kali ulangan. Kelompok kontrol negatif (A0) diberikan ransum standar, kelompok kontrol positif (A1), (A2), (A3) dan (A4) diberikan ransum standar dan diinfeksikan E.coli, kemudian ditambah ekstrak daun kemangi dengan konsentrasi 2,5%, 3,5% dan 4,5% untuk kelompok A2, A3 dan A4. Penginfeksian E.coli dilakukan secara intra peritonium sebanyak 0,75 X 108 CFU/ ml1 pada hari ke-15. Pemberian ekstrak daun kemangi diberikan sekali sehari mulai hari ke 7 sampai hari ke 34. Pada hari ke 34 sampel hati dan jantung diambil dari3 ekor setiap kelompok. Hasil pengamatan hati dan jantung A0 menunjukan bentuk, warna dan konsistensi yang normal, A1 menunjukkan hati dan jantung yang bengkak, berwarna pucat dengan konsistensi yang rapuh. Pada A2 dan A3 lesi yang terbentuk lebih rendah. Pada kelompok A4 organ mirip dengan kelompok kontrol negatif. Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak daun kemangi dapat dijadikan sebagai antiinflamasi akibat infeksi E.coli dan konsentrasi ekstrak daun kemangi terbaik pada penelitian ini adalah 4,5% yang efektif memperbaiki inflamasi akibat infeksi E.coli.
