Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kebiasaan makan ikan lontok (Ophiocara porocephala). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah survey eksploratif dengan mengidentifikasi lokasi-lokasi yang diperkirakan banyak terdapat ikan lontok berdasarkan informasi dari nelayan setempat. Penangkapan ikan dilakukan menggunakan pukat gantung dengan ukuran mata jaring 1,5 inci dan bubu, ikan yang tertangkap diawetkan dengan larutan formalin 10% di dalam plastik sampel. Metode analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode volumetrik, frekuensi kejadian dan indeks bagian terbesar (IBT).
