Dalam penelitian ini, pembuatan pupuk kalium sulfat dari bahan baku batuan gipsum alam sebagai sumber sulfat dan abu sekam padi sebagai sumber kalium telah dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji kemungkinan pembuatan pupuk kalium sulfat dari gipsum alam dan abu sekam padi dan juga mengetahui pengaruh kecepatan pengadukan, temperatur operasi dan waktu proses terhadap persentase konversi kalium sulfat yang dihasilkan. Dalam penelitian ini juga dipelajari kinetika reaksi yang terjadi selama proses pembentukan kalium sulfat. Proses pembuatan pupuk kalium sulfat dilakukan dalam reaktor tangki berpengaduk. Varibel berubah dari penelitian ini adalah kecepatan putaran pengaduk, temperatur proses, dan waktu reaksi. Untuk menganalisis produk yang dihasilkan, metode yang digunakan mengacu pada Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI 02-2809-2005). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pupuk kalium sulfat dapat dihasilkan dari reaksi antara gipsum yang mengandung kalsium sulfat dan abu sekam padi yang mengandung kalium karbonat dengan konversi kalium dari endapan sebesar 99,87% dan konversi kalium dari filtrat sebanyak 18,22%. Nilai konversi sulfat dari endapan hanya sebesar 0,69% dan nilai konversi sulfat dari filtrat 0,26%.Dalam penelitian ini kondisi terbaikproses pembuatan pupuk kalium sulfat adalah pada waktu reaksi 80 menit, kecepatan putaran pengaduk 400 rpm dan temperatur operasi 90ºC. Hasil analisis juga menunjukkan bahwa produk pupuk kalium sulfat tidak mengandung asam bebas sebagai H2SO4 dan klorida (Cl), akan tetapi mengandung kalium dan sulfat. Nilai konstanta kecepatan reaksi (k) yang didapat dalam penelitian ini adalah sebesar 0,00218 ppm-1 menit-1 dan nilai laju pengurangan reaktan (rA) sebesar 8,129 x 10-5 ppm/menit. The result of reaction is paste aluminium which will be extracted about 3 times using hot aquadest and consentration of aluminum analized by titrimetric methode. Time, temperature and ratio of sulphuric acid and kaolin in reaction have a lot effect to conversion value result, while sulphuric acid concentration and speed of agitation are not too effected. Process condition which is about to be good is temperature 180 oC, reaction time 90 minutes, ratio of sulphuric acid and kaolin is 3:1, sulphuric acid concentration 65% and speed of agitation 350 rpm. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cadangan karbon pada setiap tipe vegetasi dan total karbon pada Taman Hutan Raya Pocut Meurah Intan dengan luas objek penelitian 6.044 ha. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 6 (enam) bulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan teknik penarikan contoh sistem Jalur. Peubah yang diamati adalah kantong karbon tersimpan pada tanaman atas, tumbuhan bawah, akar, nekromasa berupa serasah dan kayu mati serta total karbon tanah. Analisa spasial menggunakan software ArcGIS 9.1 dan analisa sampel dilakukan di laboratorium tanah Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala dengan menggunakan metode pengabuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa diduga jumlah cadangan karbon taman hutan raya Pocut Meurah Intan sebesar 657,296.6 ton, yang berasal dari vegetasi hutan primer 469,576.4 ton, Kebun Campuran 97,890.0 ton, hutan pinus 71,289.4 ton, semak belukar 14,811.2 ton dan kebun pisang 3,729.6 ton. Oleh karena itu, penulis melakukan kajian mendalam yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui tinjauan eutanasia dari aspek bioetik kedokteran, syariat Islam dan HAM, mengingat eutanasia bisa saja terjadi di mana saja dan kapan saja dikarenakan kemajuan era globalisasi yang semakin pesat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bersifat fenomenologis, dengan penggunaan metode wawancara mendalam dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) yang dilakukan secara purposive. Partisipan dalam wawancara mendalam adalah para ahli dari bioetik kedokteran, syariat Islam dan HAM di Banda Aceh, sedangkan partisipan FGD adalah mahasiswa dari Fakultas Kedokteran dan Fakultas Hukum Universitas Syiah Kuala Banda Aceh serta mahasiswa Fakultas Syariah Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa seluruh partisipan menolak adanya eutanasia aktif, karena tergolong kepada pembunuhan yang disengaja. Hasil untuk eutanasia pasif didapatkan bahwa sebagian besar partisipan ahli bioetik kedokteran dan seluruh partisipan agamawan membolehkan adanya eutanasia pasif dengan persyaratan bahwa pasien telah mengalami kematian batang otak, progresivitas penyakit pasien yang semakin memburuk dan tidak ada lagi tindakan medis apapun yang dapat membantu kesembuhan pasien. Tetapi, sebagian kecil partisipan ahli bioetik kedokteran dan seluruh ahli HAM tidak membolehkan adanya eutanasia pasif dengan alasan apapun. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Penerapan model pembelajaran Time Token dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XIS-2 yang berjumlah 19 orang. Yang menjadi objek dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar dengan penerapan Model pembelajaran Time Token pada materi pembentukan muka bumi di SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh. Selanjutnya, instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar pengamatan aktivitas guru dan siswa, lembar pengamatan pengelolaan pembelajaran dan lembar respon siswa terhadap kegiatan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan Model Time Token. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut: (1) Aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam penerapan Model Time Token telah meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini telah mencerminkan penerapan Model Time Token pada saat guru memberikan setiap kupon berbicara dan setiap siswa mampu berpendapat sesuai kupon yang didapatkan. (2) Pengelolaan pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru juga terjadi peningkatan yaitu pada siklus I sebesar 2,56 dan siklus II sebesar 3,49 (3) Respon siswa terhadap kegiatan belajar bersifat senang terhadap kegiatan belajar mengajar yang dilaksanakan, jelas atas bimbingan yang diberikan oleh guru dan Model Time Token dapat dilaksanakan untuk pembelajaran dimasa yang akan datang (4) Penerapan Model pembelajaran Time Token dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, pada siklus I secara individual telah tuntas sebesar 63,15 persen dan secara klasikal sebesar 50 persen, sedangkan pada siklus II secara individual telah tuntas sebesar 89,47 persen dan secara klasikal sebesar 70 persen.
