To increase and improve PISA rankings (Programme for International of Student Assessment) of Indonesian students not only starts from the students, but also teachers and prospective teachers. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of students as prospective teachers to solve problems of high-level PISA (most difficult) is level 5. This study was a descriptive study using a qualitative approach to describe the ability of each student in solving PISA question. The subjects were students taking the Teaching Mathematics I course of Mathematics Education Program FKIP Unsyiah. Data analysis in qualitative research based on the results of the data collection process in the form of field notes, documentation, and interviews. Assessment conducted on students' ability to solve problems using the PISA assessment rubric. Furthermore, the score obtained is converted into the interval level of ability. The results showed only one student (14,28 %) of the seven students who have an excellent ability to resolve the matter appropriately. Meanwhile, three students (42,85 %) experienced only a mistake on the problems at the problem of the distance down. However, the ability of the three students vary based on the accuracy of the analysis in solving aspects. For the third ability of other students (42,85 %) were still low due to the settlement of questions that do not quite right with the ability to be at sufficient levels. In his capacity as the leader of the principal obligation to improve the performance of teachers, especially in implementing an effective learning process. The purpose of this study to determine: the principal's managerial ability in the preparation of the teacher's performance improvement program, the managerial ability of the principal in the implementation of the program to improve teacher performance, and barriers encountered principals in improving teacher performance in MIN Rukoh Banda Aceh. The study used descriptive qualitative approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Subjects were principals and teachers. The results showed that; 1) Preparation of a teacher's performance improvement program carried out at the end of each school year that include intra and extra-curricular activities, school facilities and infrastructure improvements, preparing administrative / learning tool by teachers and others as deemed necessary, including the need for the funds necessary to support learning activities teaching; 2) In the exercise program to improve teacher performance principals apply democratic leadership style. Facing the teachers are usually the principal the principal exchange ideas with teachers so finding an effective way to improve teacher kinetrja teachers in the development of the learning process; and 3) the principal obstacle encountered in improving the performance of teachers, among others, the lack of availability of funds for teacher training outside office hours, there is still a small proportion of teachers are not active and have not been able to induce the result of upgrading to his friend. Hasil  penelitian  menunjukkan bahwa; 1) Penyusunan program peningkatan kinerja guru dilakukan pada setiap akhir tahun pelajaran yang meliputi kegiatan intra dan ekstrakurikuler, perbaikan sarana dan prasarana sekolah, menyusun administrasi/perangkat pembelajaran oleh guru dan lain-lain yang dianggap perlu, termasuk kebutuhan dana yang diperlukan untuk menunjang kegiatan belajar mengajar;  2) Dalam pelaksanaan program peningkatan kinerja guru kepala sekolah menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan demokratis. Menghadapi guru-guru biasanya kepala sekolah kepala sekolah bertukar pikiran dengan guru-guru sehingga menemukan satu cara efektif  untuk meningkatkan kinetrja guru guru dalam pengembangan proses pembelajaran; dan 3) Hambatan yang ditemui kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru antara lain kurangnya tersedianya dana untuk pelatihan guru di luar jam dinas, masih ada sebagian kecil guru tidak aktif dan hasil penataran belum mampu mengimbas kepada temannya. The purpose of this study was to determine the program planning, implementation and follow-up of managerial competence of principal in State Vocational High School 1 of Lhoksukon in Aceh Utara Regency. This study used a qualitative approach and descriptive method. Data collection techniques used were observation, interview and documentation study. The subjects of this study were principal, vice principal, teachers, school committee and school treasurer. The results of this study showed that: (1) Program planning of managerial competence of the principal was developing programs to improve teacher performance. (2) The program was implemented by improving teacher performance through provision of awards, opportunities, challenges, empowerment and high responsibility development. Penelitian ini menggunakanpendekatan kulitatif dan jenis penelitian deskriptif, adapun yang menjadi populasidalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas III SDN 37 Banda Aceh. Denganjumlah siswa 35 orang siswa, 20 laki-laki dan 15 siswa perempuan. Maka subjekyang diambil adalah seluruh siswa kelas III SD Negegi 37 Banda Aceh denganjumlah subjek penelitian sebanyak 24 orang. Data dikumpulkan dengan memberikanpost test yaitu puisi yang harus dilengkapi sesuai dengan gambar dan pengolahandata siswa dihitung melalui analisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh, dan berdasarkan tujuan dari penelitianini, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan melengkapi puisi anak berdasarkangambar padad siswa kelas III SD Negeri 37 Banda Aceh berada pada kategori baik.Dari 35 orang siswa, terdapat 17 orang siswa (48,5%) yang kategorinya baik sekali,10 orang siswa (28,5%) kemampuannyadi kategori baik, 6 orang siswa (17%)kemampuannya berada di kategori cukup, 2 orang siswa (6%) kemampuannya beradapada kategori kurang, dan tidak ada siswa (0,0) yang berada pada kategori gagal.Hasil penelitian di ketahui nilai rata-rata yang dicapai siswa adalah 76,29 padakategori baik. Dengan demikian, kemampuan rata-rata siswa kelas III SD Negeri 37Banda Aceh tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 melengkapi puisi anak berdasarkan gambardari hasil penelitian ini tergolong baik.
