This paper presents a study on hardness and tensile strength characteristics of a carbon steel A106 grade B welded using shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) method with employing normalizing procedures. With the PWHT technique, heating temperature of the steel, that was set up to 850°C, was then maintained for these following set of holding times: 10, 20 and 30 minutes before cooling. Heating and cooling rates of the carbon steel were also slowly maintained. Investigation results under tension showed that the tensile strength of the carbon steel decreased with increase of the holding time. The best tensile strength was achieved by the carbon steel treated with a holding time for 20 min. Toughness of the carbon steel under tension is also discussed in order to correlate the influence of employing the PWHT technique on their fracture modes. Investigation with Vickers hardness test showed that the Vickers hardness on weld metal, weld line, heat-affected zone (HAZ) and base metal of the welded carbon steel, respectively, decreased and tended to be equivalent with the increase of the holding time. Status ibu bekerja memiliki dampak terhadap waktu yang dimiliki ibu bersama anak sehingga waktu untuk menstimulasi perkembangan anak akan berkurang. Terutama pada masa prasekolah yang merupakan masa golden age dimana perkembangan pada masa ini akan menentukan bagaimana kehidupan anak pada masa berikutnya. Tujuan peneliti ingin mengetahui perbedaan perkembangan anak prasekolah pada ibu bekerja dan ibu tidak bekerja di TK Poteumeureuhom Banda Aceh. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif komparatif. Populasi yaitu semua anak prasekolah di TK Poteumeureuhom Banda Aceh yang berjumlah 58 anak, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 50 responden terdiri dari 23 anak yang ibunya bekerja dan 27 anak yang ibunya tidak bekerja, dan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan propotionate stratified random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi sesuai Kuesioner Pra Skrining Perkembangan (KPSP) berdasarkan usia responden. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu lembar KPSP yang berisi 10 pertanyaan. Metode analisa data adalah distribusi frekuensi dan t-test independent. Hasil penelitian adalah tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara perkembangan anak prasekolah pada ibu bekerja dan ibu tidak bekerja (p-value=0,31). Saran bagi orangtua di TK Poteumeureuhom agar meluangkan waktu untuk menstimulasi dan memperhatikan perkembangan anak agar anak dapat mencapai perkembangan yang optimal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa genotipe asal bunga kakao berwarna merah sangat baik dalam merespon pembentukan kalus, pembentukan embrio somatik, dan memiliki jumlah embrio somatik lebih banyak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jarak tanam yang terbaik dengan jumlah umbi per lubang tanam yang tepat serta interaksi kedua faktor tersebut terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah, sehingga diperoleh hasil tanaman bawang merah yang maksimal. Penelitian ini dilakukan di desa Gelanggang Gajah, Kecamatan Kuala Batee, Kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya, Provinsi Aceh, pada Juni hingga September 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok pola faktorial 3 x 3 dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama yang diteliti adalah jarak tanam terdiri dari 3 taraf, yaitu 20 cm x 20 cm, 20 cm x 15 cm, dan 20 cm x 10 cm. Faktor kedua adalah jumlah umbi terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu 1, 2 dan 3 umbi per lubang tanam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada parameter jumlah anakan umur 45 HST, bobot berangkasan basah per plot netto, bobot berangkasan kering per plot netto, dan bobot umbi per plot netto terbaik dijumpai pada jarak tanam 20 cm x 10 cm. Perlakuan 3 jumlah umbi per lubang tanam memberikan hasil terbaik pada parameter jumlah anakan dan jumlah daun tanaman umur 15 , 30, dan 45 HST, jumlah umbi per rumpun, dan bobot berangkasan basah per plot netto. Terdapat interaksi yang sangat nyata antara jarak tanam dengan jumlah umbi per lubang tanam pada parameter jumlah anakan umur 45 HST, berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 45 HST dan jumlah anakan umur 30 HST. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh flexural strength resin komposit fiber non-sintetik ampas tebu dengan diameter yang berbeda. Spesimen berjumlah 24 dengan ukuran 2x2x25 mm kemudian dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok dengan diameter 0,1-0,2 mm, 0,2-0,3 mm, 0,3-0,4 mm, dan 0,4-0,5 mm. Data yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini dianalisis dengan uji one way ANOVA . Hasil analisis ANOVA dan Uji Post Hoc menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna antara flexural strength resin komposit fiber non-sintetik ampas tebu dengan diameter yang berbeda (p>0,05). The fibrebinder used in this research was stryrofoam which is a material from polysterene. This research was aimed at finding out the appropriate composition by weight between coconut fibre and polysterene and to find out the physical, mechanical and morphological characteristics of composite board resulted from the engineering process. The construction of composite board was started by cutting the fibres with the length of ≤ 5 mm, then dyeing them into NaOH for 4 hours. After those process, the fibres were dried and weighted. The Styrofoam was dissolved into silane before it was weighted based on its composition. After the coconut fibre and polysterene mixtures were mixed,they were poured into the composite board mold. The benefit of this composite board is that it is more water resistant. The test results for tensile, density, moisture content, and thickness swelling meet the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 03-2105-2006. The flexural strength of composite board which meets the standard is the compositions of 30:70, 40:60, and 50:50, while the compositions of 60:60 and 70:30 do not meet the standard.
