The objective of this study is to know the accuracy of the bioassay technique developed to detect ametryn and diuron herbicides in soil and water. Ametryn and diuron are two of several premergence herbicides currently used extensively in Indonesia expecially in plantations crops. The extensive used of the herbicides raised concern about their residue in soil and water and its negative effects. This study is a second step of three steps of experiments aimed to develop a method to detect the amount of herbicides in soil and water using a simple, easy, and economical using bioassay technique. In the previous first step, indicators plant and standard curves for ametryn and diuron were already determined. The objective of this study is to know the accuracy of the bioassay technique to detect ametryn and diuron herbicides in soil and water. Test curve were developed to evaluate accuracy between the amount of herbicide applied compared with the amount calculate of bioassay methods. Test curve is a linier correlation between amount of herbicide applied and the amount detected by bioassay method, stated as Y = a + bX, Y is the amount calculate by bioassay and X is the amount applied. If the amount calculate by bioassay is the same as the amount applied, the test cuve become Y = X, so a must be equal to 0 and b equal to 1 (a=0 and b=1), which means the bioassay method is accurate. Result showed that bioassay could be used to detect ametryn accurately in soil using caisim as indicator-plant, by measuring its shoot length or shoot dry weight. However, this indicator plant could not detect ametryn in water accurately. Bioassay could also be used to detect diuuron accurately both in soil and in water using cucumber as indicator-plant, by measuring its shoot or root length, as well as shoot or root dry weight. Fermented milk has much value primarily for the health of digestive system. However without hygienically and sterilized treatment it can become toxic to consumers. This research was conducted to observe nutritive value, the present of pathogenic bacteria, and the safety condition of commercial fermented milk that put on the market in Banda Aceh. Samples of commercial fermented milk tested were obtained from recognized retailers in Banda Aceh. Factorial completely randomized design with six replications was applied in this research. Variety of fermented milk products (yoghurt and drink yoghurt) was the first factor to be analyzed, and the second one was expired date of the products (the date of production and the date of by expired). The amount of crude protein and lipid, pH level, and the amount of lactic acid bacteria, Coliform and Staphilococcus aureus were the parameter determined. The variety and the expired date of the products influenced the amount of crude protein and lipid, the pH level, the amount of lactic acid bacteria, Coliform and Staphilococcus aureus in the level of highly significant different (P<0,01). There was also found in highly significant interaction (P<0,01) between factors that influenced the amount of lactic acid bacteria and Staphilococcus aureus. On the other hand, the amount of Coliform was not influenced by those factors. The study also results in decreasing of the amount of crude protein and lipid as well as lactic acid bacteria caused by the ongoing time of storing. The longer fermented milk was stored, the lower the level of crude protein, lipid and lactic acid bacteria presented. The lipid level of fermented milk products those put on the market in Banda Aceh have been complied with the requirement standard of SNI 01-2981-1992. However, crude protein level has not achieved the requirement standard yet. Due to the amount of Staphylococcus aureus present, the fermented milk products tested, in fact, were not saved to be consumed. On the contrary, although Coliform was also present, the products were in the category of saved to be consumed. Zooplankton bermigrasi menjauhi dari predator guna mengurangi resiko berkurangnya populasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman dan kelimpahan zooplankton berdasarkan distribusi vertikal di Teluk Sabang, Pulau Weh, Provinsi Aceh. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada bulan November 2012. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian diperoleh 6 filum yang terdiri dari Arthropoda (10 spesies), Chordata (6 spesies), Protozoa (3 spesies), Platyhelminthes (1 spesies), Rotifera (1 spesies), dan Moluska (3 spesies). Kelimpahan zooplankton tertinggi diperoleh pada malam hari kedalaman 0 meter dengan jumlah 5025 ind/l, dan terendah diperoleh pada siang hari kedalaman 15 meter dengan jumlah 3851 ind/l. Indeks keanekaragaman zooplankton berkisar antara 0,39-1,49 siang hari dan 0,43-0,85 malam hari. Indeks keseragaman zooplankton berkisar antara 0,04-0,37 siang hari dan 0,02-0,09 malam hari.
