Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui karakteristik berang-berang cakar kecil meliputi keadaan fisik dan keadaan biologi. Penelitian dilakukan di Gampong Ujong Nga Kecamatan Samatiga Kabupaten Aceh Barat pada tanggal 10-16 April 2014. Parameter yang di gunakan adalah jumlah jejak yang terdapat dalam habitat yang digunakan oleh berang-berang cakar kecil di Gampong Ujong Nga. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada habitat berang-berang cakar kecil di Ujong Nga dan sampel yang dipakai adalah plot dengan ukuran 50 m x 50 m yang terbagi dalam 6 plot. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berang-berang cakar kecil memilih unit habitat dengan kriteria (a) tipe habitat sawah, hutan rawa, tepi sungai, hutan rumbia; (b) ketersediaan pakan banyak (1,33 jejak per plot), sedang (0,33 jejak per plot), dan kurang (0,17 jejak per plot); (c) jarak jejak ke sarang 0-25 m sebanyak 1,66 jejak per plot, 25-50 m sebanyak 1 jejak per plot, > 50 m sebanyak 0,5 per plot; (d) jarak jejak ke sumber air 0-25 m sebanyak 2,16 jejak per plot, 25-50 m sebanyak 0,5 jejak per plot, dan untuk jarak > 50 m tidak ditemukan jejak; dan (e) jarak jejak ke lokasi kotoran 0-25 m sebanyak 1,16 jejak per plot, 25-50 m sebanyak 0,5 jejak per plot, dan > 50 m sebanyak 0,17 jejak per plot. However, due to forest encroachment, the conditions of habitat at the site which is often used by elephants in the Seulawah ecosystem are changed, and including forest encroachment areas are extremely high. With the purpose to describing physically and biologically of the habitat characteristics of Sumatran elephants in the Seulawah ecosystem at Aceh Besar regency. Retrieval of data was held on 1-14 in December 2010. The parameters which used are the amount of feces found in habitat that is used by the Sumatran elephants in the Seulawah ecosystems at Aceh Besar regency. The data is collected on the track which located in the Seulawah ecosystem ata Aceh Besar regency and samples used are track with measure of  100x3m and then divided into 8 plots with distance between plots are 500m. The results showed that the Sumatran elephant selecting habitat unit with criteria (a) the slope of the ramps (0-20o), (b) close to the water source (0-250m), (c) close to the primary forest (0-500m); (d) the availability of minerals rare trees (<3 trees), (e) low-elevation land (0-400m), (f) the availability of many feed (75%), (g) closing the canopy is very rare (0-25 %), (h) the availability of body scrub trees are rare (<3 trees), and (i) the type of secondary forest. The results provide information about the factors that determine the selection of habitat by Sumatran elephants that can contribute in the management of suitable habitat for Sumatran elephants. This condition is expected to reduce elephant conflicts with the surrounding area. The increasing of age nutritional needs of the growing that need to be done weaning process. The recommends of WHO weaning is done after the baby is 2 years old. In Indonesia breastfeeding reached 15.3% and formula feeding increased three-fold from 10.3% to 32.5%. This shows the lack of knowledge of parents and the community in general to promote increased breastfeeding. The aim of the research is to known characteristics of mother that weaning under 2 years of age in Neuheun Village at Mesjid Raya district- Aceh Besar 2014. The research desain is eksplorative descriptive by using cross sectional study. The population in this research were 138, sampling technique through by purposive sampling and samples were 64 mother. Data collection technique conducted through by distributing questionnaires about knowledge and social-cultural i.e 16 statements in Dicotomous and Likert scale. Data analysis method used univariate analysis. The result of the research is maternal age at early adult category of 62 people (96.9%), most maternal education with higher education is 32 people (50.0%), mothers who work as many as 34 people (53.2%), mothers with income above the minimum wage by 35 people (54.6%), as many as 35 people (54.7%) mothers have the low of knowledge, 36 people (56.3%) have a bad social culture. The result of the research recommends Puskesmas (public health subdistrict) maternal and child health, are expected to socialize exclusive breastfeeding to mothers, families and communities as well as the socialization of a good time for child weaning. Infeksi saluran pernapasan akibat bakteri merupakan penyebab utama eksaserbasi pada PPOK. Penanggulangan penyakit infeksi memerlukan pemberian antibiotika secara rasional untuk menghindari terjadinya resistensi kuman terhadap antibiotika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pola kuman dan resistensinya terhadap antibiotika pada pasien PPOK eksaserbasi akut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan metode consecutive sampling dan diperoleh sebanyak 32 orang pasien PPOK eksaserbasi akut yang dirawat di ruang rawat paru Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh. Bakteri yang diisolasi dari sputum selanjutnya dilakukan pemeriksaan sensitivitas antibiotika. Penelitian ini berhasil mengisolasi 13 (40,6%) bakteri patogen, 15 (46,9%) bakteri non patogen, sementara itu 4 (12,5%) bahan pemeriksaan yang tidak layak kultur. Bakteri patogen yang didapatkan terdiri dari Klebsiella pneumoniae (61,5%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (15,4%), Escherichia coli, Acinetobacter dan Streptococcus sp. masing-masing 7,7%. Hasil uji sensitivitas menunjukkan Klebsiella pneumoniae resisten terhadap Ciprofloxacine (62,5%), Ceftazidine, Ceftriaxone dan Cefotaxime masing-masing 50%. Pseudomonas aeruginosa resisten terhadap Ticarcilin dan Cefotaxime masing-masing (50%). Satu isolat Eschericia coli yang ditemukan resisten terhadap Ticarcilin dan Cefotaxime. Satu isolat Acinetobacter yang ditemukan resisten terhadap Meropenem, Ciprofloxacine, Cefotaxime, Ceftazidine, Ceftriaxone, Tetracycline dan Cotrimoxazole.
