                <text>ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkarakterisasi sifat agro-morfologi dan mengidentifikasi plasma nutfah padi local Aceh yang dapat beradaptasi baik pada tanah masam. Jumlah aksesi yang dievaluasi adalah 33 aksesi. Tinggi bibit pada umur 15 Hari Setelah Tanam dari varietas yang dievaluasi berkisar dari 20-40 cm. Jumlah anakan pada fase bibit berkisar antara 1 sampai 6 anakan. Tanaman terpendek yang mempunyai tinggi 90 cm adalah Kuku Balam 1 dan Tuwoti, sedangkan tanaman yang berbatang tinggi adalah Rangan dan Dupa, masing-masing secara berturut-turut mencapai 156 dan 151 cm. Warna pangkal batang umumnya hijau dan berwarna ungu serta ungu bergaris, varietas yang memiliki pangkal batang ungu adalah Cirata, Sirias, Ramos, Tition, sedangkan yang ungu bergaris adalah Cantek Puteh. Hasil uji toleransi plasma nutfah padi Aceh pada tanah masam diperoleh 9 aksesi varietas local Aceh toleran (skor 1-3). Varietas tersebut adalah Sikuneng, Leukat Jeurejak, Sambei, Bo Santeut, Leukat Adang, Itam Tangke, Pade Kapai, dan Lekat Panah. Varietas yang tergolong peka adalah Kuku Balam 1, Kuku Balam 2, Sigudang, Situ Bagendit, Cirata, Rasi Putih, Bo Padang, Danau Gaung, Limboti, Kepala Gajah Kinco, Pineung, Bo Rayek, Sirias, dan Ramos Tition.Characterization of Aceh Rice Germplasm for Developing Adapted Variety in Acid SoilsABSTRACT. The aims of this work were to make a morpho-agronomic characterization and to identify of the Aceh rice germplasm with a good adapted in acid soils. The total accession rice for evaluation were 33 varieties. The higher of seedling for evaluation were approximately 20-40 cm after 15 days planting. The number of tiller were 1-6 tillers. Kuku Balam-1 and Towoti variety showed 90 cm short plants, whereas Rangan and Dupa variety tallest which have been 156 and 151 respectively. Generally, the color of starting point was green, purple or purple with lines. The purple starting point were Cirata, Sirias, and Ramos Tition. Cantek Puteh variety was purple’s lines variety. The Aceh rice germplasm showed that 9 variety were tolerant to acid soils (skor 1-3). That variety were Sikuneng, Leukat Jeureujak, Sambei, Bo Santeut, Leukat Adang, Itam Tangke, Pade Kapai, and Leukat Panah. The sensitive variety were Kuku Balam-1, Kuku Balam-2, Sigudang, Situ Bagendit, Cirata, Rasi Putih, Bo Padang, Danau Gaung, Lomboto, Kepala Gajah Kinco, Pineung, Bo Rayek, Sirias, and Ramos Tition.</text>

                <text>Characterization of local goat of kejobong at local government of purbalingga, central javaABSTRACT. The purposes of this study were to identify the quantitative morphogenitical characteristics (external body dimensions) and qualitative characteristics (coat-colour), the population size, its distribution and diversity of morphogenitical characteristics, the population status in term of conservation, and to find out the model of conservation. The target of this study were goat-husbandry of local goat at Kejobong (13 villages) Local Government of Purbalingga, Central Java, Purbalingga Regency. Livestock On-Farm Trials (LOFT) by simple random sampling was implemented in this study. Sample sizes were determinate by Nomogram Harry King, and were involved of 931 head of local goat of Kejobong. Descriptive (qualitative and quantitative) analyses, variance analyses by General Linear Model (GLM) procedure of SPSS, analysis of the population status according to the Global Data Bank for Farm Animal Genetic Resources for Domestic Animal Diversity of FAO were applied.This study revealed that: (1) based on the size of external body dimensions, the Kejobong local goat appears the termediate between Kacang and Peranakan Etawah goats; (2) ) Based on the quantitative and qualitative characteristics, the Kejobong local goat assumed as a crossbreed-goat resulted from crossing between Kacang and Peranakan Etawah breeds. Dominant black and total black coat colour were predominants 74.45 and 56.49 percent among their population, respectively; (3) The Kejobong local goats were founded in all regions (13 villages) with the total populations about 15.317 heads. There was highly diversity in term of the characteristic of external body dimensions. This finding force to conduct the in-breed selection in order to improve their productivity; (4) Based on the Global Data Bank for Farm Animal Genetic Resources, the population status of local goat at Kecamatan Subdistric (15.317 heads) and the total population of black coat (8.623 heads) were classified into Not at Risk category. Board of Agriculture National Research Council (1993) classify that the population status into rare if the size of population ranges from 5.000 until 10.000 heads, it is imply that the total population of black coat goat (8.623 heads) include in rare category; (5) The policy of livestock conservation consists of the in-situ and ex-situ methods. In the level of implementation of the sustainability conservation, there were some aspects could be take into account such as agreement between government (political will and coordination), community (group farmer, empowering capital and marketing), and universities. </text>

                <text>Aceh marine area has many potential resources that need to be explored, studied, and conserved. These activities require a suitable mean that has capability to bring data collection and observation tools into the seabed. One of the means that can carry out these jobs is the AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle). AUV has an ability to dive without any supporting cables from the surface. It can be programmed to do the required task in the seabed. One of the most important parts on the AUV is the thruster system, a component that provides the thrust force. A thruster is a mechatronic device consists of power source (battery), motor controller, electric motor, and propeller as the main thrust component. A defect in the thruster design will result in the failure of the AUV thus the design of thruster is critical in an AUV unit. In this research, an experiment apparatus was design and fabricated in order to measure the performance of a thruster. The measurement includes the thrust force, the power consumption, and the total effective working time. The proposed experiment apparatus is expected to assist the design stage of the AUV before fabrication in order to minimize the failure caused by defect in the thruster system.</text>

                <text>ABSTRAKPerkembangan penelitian tentang bahan konstruksi perkerasan jalan khususnya perkerasan lentur (flexible pavement) diarahkan pada usaha pemanfaatan material setempat dan disesuaikan dengan kondisi daerah di mana konstruksi perkerasan akan dilaksanakan, akan tetapi dengan adanya penambahan ruas jalan yang semakin lama semakin meningkat maka bertambah pula kebutuhan material untuk pembangunan jalan. Dari uraian permasalahan ini, maka perlu suatu kajian mengenai parameter Marshall beton aspal terutama dengan menggunakan material  batu basalt sebagai agregat kasar dengan memvariasikan filler dari abu kiln dan semen PC. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui parameter Marshall material basalt dengan filler dari abu kiln dan semen PC. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa penggunaan  abu kiln dan semen PC sebagai filler dapat mempengaruhi parameter Marshall dan nilai durabilitas campuran beton aspal (AC-BC) dari sebelumnya menggunakan filler abu batu basalt, dimana pada penggunaan semen PC terjadi peningkatan stabilitas, sedangkan pada abu kiln terjadi penurunan nilai stabilitas akan tetapi semua nilai tersebut memenuhi semua parameter Marshall. Nilai stabilitas dengan penggunaan abu kiln sebagai filler terjadi penurunan stabilitas dimana 0% abu kiln- 6% abu batu basalt, 2% abu kiln- 4% abu batu basalt, 4% abu kiln- 2% abu batu basalt dan 6% abu kiln- 0% abu batu basalt diperoleh stabilitas masing-masing 1600,45 kg, 1274,53 kg, 1098,33 kg dan 970,71 kg. Nilai durabilitas meningkat dengan bertambahnya persen kadar abu kiln yaitu masing-masing 79,32%, 80,20%, 81,09 dan 81,96%. Sedangkan pada penggunaan semen PC sebagai filler terjadi peningkatan stabilitas dimana 0% semen PC- 6% abu batu basalt, 2% semen PC- 4% abu batu basalt, 4% semen PC- 2% abu batu basalt dan 6% semen PC- 0% abu batu basalt diperoleh stabilitas masing-masing 1600,45 kg, 1686,06 kg, 1711,05 kg dan 1721,79 kg. Nilai durabilitas meningkat dengan bertambahnya persen kadar semen PC yaitu masing-masing 79,32%, 80,17%, 82,09% dan 84,64%.                 <text>This study undertakes the transesterification process of used cooking oils that have undergone a process of esterification. The transesterification process carried out by reacting methanol and esterified used cooking oil using KOH as catalyst. Stirring technique used is based on hydrodynamic cavitation. This research aims to study the characteristics of biodiesel that made from transesterified used cooking oil with different concentrations of methanol. The concentration of methanol used consists of 5 (five) level are: 99.9%, 95%, 90%, 80%, and 70%. The transesterification process using hydrodynamic cavitation technique with a 99.9% concentration of methanol result in biodiesel with characteristics consistent by Indonesian National Standard (SNI). In this condition, biodiesel produced 92.93% of the yield which has characteristics of acid number 0.80 mg KOH / g, total glycerol 0.045%, alkyl ester 99.45%, iodine number 14.92 g I2/100 g,  viscosity 2,35 mm2 / s , density 0.87745 g/cm3  and pH value 4.885. Based on research, the concentration of methanol lower than 99.9% not yet can produce biodiesel from used cooking oil that have characteristics according to Indonesian National Standard (SNI).  </text>

                <text>Penggunaan campuran aspal panas (hot mix) dalam jumlah sedikit dianggap kurang efisien karena memerlukan suhu tertentu untuk penghamparan dan pemadatannya, oleh karena itu untuk pekerjaan pemeliharaan seperti patching dapat menggunakan alternatif lain yaitu campuran aspal emulsi dingin (CAED) yang tanpa suhu tertentu dan pemadatan yang dapat ditunda. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menentukan nilai kadar aspal residu optimum (KARO), mengetahui karakteristik CAED menggunakan agregat bergadasi rapat tipe IV, dan untuk menentukan nilai stabilitas CAED terhadap tanpa dan dengan tundaan pemadatan selama 12 jam dengan variasi aditif semen 0% dan 1% terhadap waktu curing 0, 1, 3, 7 hari. Variasi kadar aspal adalah 5,5%, 6%, 6,5%, 7%, dan 7,5% yang didapat setelah menghitung perkiraan awal Kadar Residu Aspal (Pb). KARO didapat setelah dilakukan tes penyelimutan, kadar air pemadatan dan enersi pemadatan. Kemudian dilakukan pengujian lagi tanpa dan dengan tundaan pemadatan 12 jam dengan variasi aditif semen. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dengan mengoptimalkan stabilitas rendaman dan kepadatan kering didapatkan nilai KARO sebesar 7%, untuk karakteristik CAED yang di bahas hanya nilai stabilitas dan porositas, dan peran semen pada CAED tanpa dan dengan tundaan pemadatan berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan nilai stabilitas dan nilai porosistas selama waktu curing. Untuk CAED tanpa tundaan pemadatan (tanpa semen) didapat peningkatan stabilitas sebesar 35,9%, 49,4% dan 115,8%, sedangkan dengan penambahan aditif semen (1%) juga terjadi peningkatan stabilitas sebesar 29%, 46,2% dan 110,9% terhadap waktu curing 0 hari. CAED dengan tundaan pemadatan 12 jam tanpa semen didapat peningkatan stabilitas sebesar 32,07%, 46,88% dan 75,47%, sedangkan dengan penambahan aditif semen (1%) juga terjadi peningkatan stabilitas sebesar 14,91%, 36,28% dan 48,97% terhadap curing 0 hari. Nilai porositas CAED tanpa tundaan (tanpa semen) lebih kecil daripada dengan tundaan pemadatan sedangkan nilai porositas CAED dengan adanya penambahan aditif semen lebih kecil dengan tundaan pemadatan 12 jam daripada tanpa tundaan pemadatan dikarenakan semen yang telah mengikat air dan agregat dalam campurannya.</text>

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik Marshall Aspal Beton Lapis Antara (AC-BC) menggunakan campuran aspal penetrasi 60/70 dengan tanpa zat aditif dan variasi persentase zat aditif plastik PVC 0,5% dan 1% pada suhu pencampuran aspal 145oC dan 160oC. Benda uji masing-masing dibuat 3 benda uji pada persentase kadar aspal 4,5%;5,0%;5,5%;6,0%;6,5% sebanyak 15 benda uji untuk mendapatkan Kadar Aspal Optimum (KAO). Hasil pengujian dan perhitungan parameter Marshall didapat KAO 5,59%. Berdasarkan KAO dibuat benda uji tanpa aditif sebanyak 6 benda uji, selanjutnya persentase zat aditif plastik PVC 0,5% dan 1% berjumlah 24 benda uji terdiri 12 benda uji untuk rendaman 30 menit dan 12 benda uji untuk rendaman 24 jam. Hasil parameter Marshall yang didapat pada nilai stabilitas; flow; Marshall Quotient; Density; VIM; VMA; VFB; dan durabilitas terhadap campuran tanpa zat aditif plastik PVC menggunakan suhu pencampuran 145oC yaitu sebesar 1608,27 kg; 6,0 mm; 267,16 kg/mm; 2,39 gr/cm3; 3,52%; 16,51%; 79,22%; 96,80%. Campuran aspal dengan substitusi plastik PVC 0,5% didapat nilai stabilitas; flow; Marshall Quotient; Density; VIM; VMA; VFB; dan durabilitas pada suhu pencampuran aspal 145oC dan 160oC adalah 1384,48 kg dan 1327,58 kg; 4,7 mm dan 4,8 mm; 296,93 kg/mm dan 276,64 kg/mm; 2,38 gr/cm3 dan 2,36 gr/cm3; 3,57% dan 4,35%; 16,62% dan 17,29%; 78,64% dan 74,93%; 98,63% dan 98,57 %. Berdasarkan suhu pencampuran aspal normal 145oC dan suhu maksimum 160oC terhadap campuran 1,0% plastik PVC terjadi penurunan nilai stabilitas; Marshall Quotient; Density; VFB sebesar 1,34%; 6,16%; 0,42%; 2,85% dan peningkatan nilai flow; VIM; VMA; sebesar 4,26%; 10,49%; 2,38%.                 <text>ABSTRAKSelama ini material untuk pengikat hotmix menggunakan aspal penetrasi sepenuhnya, sementara banyak bahan-bahan lain yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan substitusi aspal sehingga dapat mengurangi penggunaan persentase aspal dalam suatu campuran. Beberapa material sisa/limbah yang terdapat di alam dan dapat digunakan dalam campuran beton aspal sebagai bahan substitusi salah satunya adalah plastik PVC. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan substitusi plastik PVC berupa serpihan sebesar 1,5% dan 2% dengan menggunakan suhu pencampuran normal 145oC dan suhu pencampuran maksimum 160oC. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pergeseran nilai parameter Marshall yang terjadi dengan adanya substitusi plastik PVC dan variasi suhu pencampuran aspal. Hasil pengujian sifat-sifat fisis menunjukkan bahwa agregat dan aspal telah memenuhi spesifikasi. Tahapan awal pembuatan benda uji untuk mencari nilai Kadar Aspal Optimum (KAO). Kadar aspal yang digunakan berjumlah 5 variasi yaitu 4,5%; 5%; 5,5%; 6%; 6,5%. Hasil parameter Marshall yang didapat yaitu Stabilitas 1791,08 kg; Flow 4,6 mm; MQ 391,91 kg/mm; Density 2,37 gr/m3; VIM 4,25%; VMA 16,98%; dan VFB 74,94%. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian dan perhitungan parameter Marshall didapat nilai KAO yaitu 5,59%.  Selanjutnya dilakukan pembuatan benda uji dengan substitusi plastik PVC sebesar 1,5% pada suhu pencampuran 145oC dan 160oC, maka didapat nilai Stabilitas 1460,34 kg dan 1407,24 kg; Flow 4,4 mm dan 4,6 mm; MQ 330,54 kg/mm dan 306,11 kg/mm; Density  2,36 gr/m3 dan 2,35 gr/m3; VIM 4,58% dan 4,87%; VMA 17,61% dan 17,86%; VFB 74,02% dan 72,77%. Pembuatan benda uji juga dilakukan dengan mensubstitusikan plastik PVC sebesar 2% dengan suhu pencampuran 145oC dan 160oC, sehingga didapat nilai Marshall yaitu Stabilitas 1517,24 kg dan 1486,89 kg; Flow 4,2 mm dan 4,3 mm; MQ 361,43 kg/mm dan 343,40 kg/mm; Density 2,35 gr/m3 dan 2,33 gr/m3; VIM 4,74% dan 5,09%; VMA 17,81% dan 18,59%; VFB 73,4% dan 69,61%. Dari kedua suhu pencampuran antara suhu normal 145oC dan suhu maksimum 160oC terjadi penurunan nilai pada substitusi 2% plastik PVC terhadap nilai  Stabilitas; MQ; Density; VFB yaitu 2%; 5%; 0,9%; 5,2%, dan mengalami peningkatan pada Flow; VIM; VMA yaitu sebesar 2,4%; 7,4%; 4,4%. Penurunan dan peningkatan nilai karakteristik Marshall terjadi karena adanya perlakuan yang berbeda terhadap suhu pencampuran, yaitu pada saat normal dan pada saat maksimum. Hasil menunjukkan dengan menggunakan suhu pencampuran 160oC tidak terlalu jauh pergeseran nilai Marshall yang terjadi dan ternyata penggunaan suhu pencampuran maksimum 160oC memenuhi spesifikasi campuran beton aspal AC-BC.Kata kunci : plastik PVC, KAO, suhu pencampuran, parameter Marshall.</text>
