Genetic diversity information of Gobiidae is needed as a basis for management of its culture or conservation efforts. Mean while, the stability development of the paired organs in animals is closely related to the level of their genetic diversity. In this regard, a study has been conducted to determine of bilateral symmetry characteristics of marble gobies from Jenderal Soedirman reservoir of Banjarnegara and Rawapening Swamp of Salatiga. A survey method was used with purposive sampling technique. The observed variables were abnormalities and meristic bilateral characters. The characters including the number of soft rays on pectoral fins and pelvic fins, and the number of scales on lateral lines. The results showed that both marble gobies from Jenderal Soedirman Reservoir and Rawapening Swamp did not show abnormalities. However, their bilateral meristic characters had been fluctuated, especially for pectoral fins and lateral lines; whereas pelvic fins seem to be symmetry. According to their observed bilateral symmetry characters, in general, it could be concluded that marble gobies from Jenderal Soedirman Reservoir had a better genetic diversity compare to those from Rawapening Swamp. Therefore, it can be used as local genetic resources.Key words. Masalah yang akan ditelaah dalam tesis ini adalah bagaimanakah karakter masyarakat Aceh dalam novel-novel Aceh era 2000-an. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan karakter masyarakat Aceh dalam novel-novel Aceh era 2000-an. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel-novel Aceh era 2000-an, di antaranya Lampuki Karya Arafat Nur, Tentra Atom Karya Tayeb Loh Angen, Hafalan Shalat Delisa karya Darwis Tere Liye, Malam Memeluk Intan karya Sulaiman Tripa, Tungku karya Salman Yoga, Seulusoh karya D Kemalawati, Seulanga karya Riati M.K., Bidadari Hitam karya TI Thamrin, Percikan Darah di Bunga karya Arafat Nur, dan El-Mansiya (Yang Terlupakan) karya Zack Arya. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa novel-novel Aceh era 2000-an menampilkan karakter masyarakat Aceh, di antaranya pemberani, pengecut, pemarah, cerdik, rajin, setia, bijak, dan malu. Karakter berani masyarakat Aceh yang digambarkan dalam novel Aceh berhubungan dengan sikap spirit dan tegas dalam mengambil keputusan. Karakter pemarah masyarakat Aceh digambarkan dalam novel Aceh berkaitan dengan tabiat masyarakat yang sangat murka bila tidak dihargai. Karakter cerdik masyarakat Aceh yang digambarkan dalam novel Aceh berkaitan dengan kemampuan menyusun strategi, dalam membela kebenaran. Karakter setia masyarakat Aceh yang digambarkan dalam novel Aceh berhubungan dengan perilaku tulus dalam mencintai, mengingat, dan menyayangi seseorang. Karakter malu masyarakat Aceh yang digambarkan dalam novel Aceh berhubungan dengan ajaran Islam. Karakter bijak masyarakat Aceh yang digambarkan dalam novel Aceh berhubungan dengan sikap sehat akal budi. Karakter rajin masyarakat Aceh yang digambarkan dalam novel Aceh berhubungan dengan jiwa pekerja keras. The objective of the present study was to evaluate mouth character and tooth structure variations of Bagridae. The sampling was conducted on February to July 2012 at Serayu River Banyumas, the sampling was done four times with two week intervals using casting nets and gill nets. A total of three species Bagridae, namely Mystus gulio, Mystus nigriceps and Hemibagrus nemurus were recorded during the study. The results showed that there were no variation on mouth and dental structure among species. Thus, theese characters could not be used to discriminate species among these species.Keywords. Pada penelitian ini bakteri termofilik berasal dari sumber air panas Pria Laot Sabang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari bulan april sampai bulan juni 2014 di Laboratorium Biokimia, Laboratorium Mikrobiologi Fakultas MIPA dan Laboratorium Rekayasa Material Fakultas Teknik Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi golongan isolat bakteri yang telah diisolasi dari sumber air panas Pria Laot Sabang secara fenotipik dengan mengamati morfologi koloni (bentuk, tepian, elevasi dan warna isolat), morfologi sel (pewarnaan Gram, anailisis SEM) dan aktivitas biokimia (motilitas, TSIA, MR-VP, LIA, Simmon Citrat, oksidase, katalase, methyl red, oksidatif dan fermentatif). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga isolat bakteri merupakan kelompok Gram negative dengan bentuk sel batang (basil) dan motil. Ketiga isolat secara umum memiliki morfolgi yang sama antara lain koloni berwarna krem, bentuk koloni buta, elevasi cembung dan tepian rata.berdasarkan hasil uji biokimia menunjukkan bahwa ketiga isolat bakteri merupakan kelompok family Bacilliceae, Genus Geobacillus dan jenis Geobacillus stearothermophillus.Kata kunci : Termo-halofilik, Karakterisasi dan Identifikasi, fenotipik.ABSTRACThermo-halophilic is a bactery survives in an ekstreme environtmental temperatures like high temperature and high salinity. This study has started from April to June of 2014 in the Chemical laboratory, Microbiology Laboratory of MIPA faculty and Materials Laboratory of Engineering faculty, Syiah Kuala University. This study is to identify classes of bacteria that have been isolated from Pria Laot Sabang Hot Springs phenotypically by observing the colony morphology (type, edge, elevation, and colour isolated), cell morphology ( gram staining, SEM analysis) and biochemistry actifity (motility,TSIA,MR0VP,LIA, Simmon Citrate, Oxidase, Catalase, methyl red, Oxidative, and Fermentative). This Study showed that the three isolates of bacteria is a group of gram-negative with stem cells form and motile. The three isolates of bacteria generally have the same morphology as if crem colored-colonies, shape ball colonies, convex elevation, and flat ledges.
