It can be used as agricultural areas or settlements; however, by the time it changed functionally. This research was aimed at finding out levels of agricultural land degradation treatment caused by erosion on agricultural land and defining the proper conservation measures for sustainable land utilization, and especially analyzing levels of land degradation caused by erosion in agricultural land on Lembah Seulawah, Aceh Besar District. Land mapping unit was developed based on land utilization map, soil type map, and topography map with scale 1 : 60.000, then overlaid to find out Land Utilization Type (LUT), based on uniformity of land-forming variables. Results showed that there were 4 classifications of erosion hazard levels, i.e. light hazard erosion level (L) found in LUT 5,6,7 and 8, medium hazard erosion level (M) found in LUT 4, heavy hazard erosion level (H) found in LUT 2 and 3, and very heavy hazard erosion level (VH) found in LUT 1. Land use referrals in maintaining preservation actions are by applying vegetative and mechanical methods of conservation. Selection and management of planting pattern, cover crop planting, and uses of plant waste as mulch are recommended on the L and M levels. Development of tree crops (estate and industrial crops) and no agricultural uses are recommended on H and VH levels, respectively.Abstrak: Lahan memiliki potensi besar dalam menunjang aktivitas hidup manusia. Lahan tersebut bisa dijadikan sebagai areal pertanian maupun pemukiman penduduk, sering kali dalam perkembangannya terjadi perubahan fungsi-fungsi lahan dimaksud. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat degradasi lahan akibat erosi pada lahan pertanian dan menentukan arahan korservasi yang tepat sehingga pemanfaatan lahan dapat berkelanjutan di Kecamatan Lembah Seulawah Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Satuan peta lahan ditetapkan berdasarkan peta penggunaan tanah, peta jenis tanah dan peta kelerengan dengan skala 1 : 60.000, kemudian dioverlay untuk mendapatkan peta Tipe Penggunaan Lahan (TPL) yang didasarkan pada keseragaman peubah pembentuk lahan. Hasil penelitian terdapat 4 klasifikasi tingkat bahaya erosi yaitu tingkat bahaya erosi ringan (R) masing-masing terdapat pada TPL 5, 6, 7 dan 8, erosi sedang (S) terdapat pada TPL 4, erosi berat (B) terdapat pada TPL 2 dan 3, sedangkan klasifikasi tingkat bahaya erosi yang sangat berat (SB) terdapat pada TPL 1. Arahan penggunaan lahan yang sesuai dalam menjaga kelestariannya adalah menerapkan tindakan konservasi metode vegetatif dan metode mekanis. Namun Unsyiah menyimpan database utamanya di dalam jaringan lokal, sementara aplikasi dosen wali adalah aplikasi yang di-host pada server luar. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka dibutuhkan sebuah layanan yang mampu mendukung proses pertukaran data yang bisa di manfaatkan oleh pengguna diantarnya adalah RESTful. RESTful web service mendukung pengguna XML maupun JSON sebagai format pertukaran data. Pada penelitian ini akan mengukur kecepatan waktu eksekusi untuk proses parsing data antara format data JSON dan XML pada RESTful web service kemudian dari hasil tersebut akan dibandingkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik tanah salin di Kemukiman Krueng Raya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tiga pedon yang dipilih berdasarkan perbedaan vegetasi yang tumbuh di atasnya (bakau, nipah dan semak halophyta). Di lapangan diamati sifat-sifat morfologinya, kemudian diambil bahan tanahnya dari setiap horison dan dianalisis sifat fisika, kimia, dan mineraloginya di laboratorium. Pada semua horison di pedon IR1 bertekstur liat, pada pedon IR2 tekstur di horison Bt lempung liat berpasir, sedangkan pada pedon IR3 horison Bt1 bertekstur lempung. Reaksi tanah (pH) berbanding lurus dengan kejenuhan basa (KB), pada semua horison mempunyai nilai yang tinggi KB dan pH kecuali pada pedon IR1 horison AB. Selain itu mempunyai pH, daya hantar listrik (DHL), nisbah Na terjerap (SAR) yang tinggi yang merupakan penciri daerah salin. Asam-asam dapat ditukar hanya terdapat pada pedon IR1 horison BA yaitu berupa kation hidrogen 1,76 cmol(+) kg-1 dan alumnium 1,44 cmol(+) kg_1, disebabkan horison tersebut pH-nya rendah (5.00) dan mengandung liat masam. Semua pedon mempunyai mineral mudah lapuk yang tinggi (> 10%), Hal ini menunjukkan tanah belum tua dan kesuburannya cukup baik, namun terdapat faktor-faktor penghambat yaitu kejenuhan Na, SAR, dan DHL yang tinggi. Setiap pedon didominasi oleh mineral smektit serta sedikit kaolinit, illit, kuarsa, dan klorit.Characteristics of Krueng Raya Salin soils at Subdistrict Mesjid Raya Aceh BesarAbstract. This research aimed to investigate the characteristics of saline soil in Kemukiman Krueng Raya. This research was conducted in three selected pedon based on difference of vegetation which is growing on it (mangroves, palm and halophyta shrub). Morphology properties observed in the field, then the soil material taken from each horizon and soil physical, chemical, and mineralogy were analyzed in the laboratory. In all IR1 pedon of horizons has clay texture, on IR2 pedon of Bt horizon has sandy clay loam texture, whereas on IR3 pedon of Bt1 horizon has clay texture. Soil reaction (pH) is proportional to the base saturation (BS), in all of horizons have high BS and pH values except on IR1 pedon of AB horizon. Besides, it has high value of pH, electrical conductivity (EC), and the sodium adsorption ratio (SAR), which is the identifier of saline areas. The exchangeable acids only on pedon IR1 of BA horizon that is hydrogen cation 1.76 cmol (+) kg-1 and aluminium 1.44 cmol (+) kg-1, because of the horizon is low of pH (5.00) and contain of acid clay. All of pedon has high easily weathered minerals (> 10%). This is indicate that  the soil has not aged yet and its fertility still quite well, but there are limiting factors that is high of Na saturation, SAR, and DHL. Each pedon dominated by smectite minerals and a little of kaolinite, illite, quartz, and chlorite.
