Hasil yang didapatkan berupa kebutuhan parkir maksimum pada hari Sabtu (12 April 2014), yaitu sepeda motor sebesar 101 kend/jam pada pukul 08.00-09.00 WIB dengan kapasitas 40 kendaraan, becak sebesar 28 kend/jam pada pukul 09.00-10.00 WIB dengan kapasitas 18 kendaraan, mobil penumpang/pick up sebesar 34 kend/jam pada pukul 08.00-09.00 WIB dengan kapasitas 28 kendaraan, dan truk sebesar 2 kend/jam pada pukul 09.00-10.00 WIB dengan kapasitas tidak disediakan. Lokasi on-street parking eksisting pada ruas Jalan W.R. Supratman dilakukan penataan ulang, sehingga kendaraan yang tidak tertampung direlokasi ke off-street parking. One of the research objectives is to describe the atmosphere in improving speaking by using activities in the Information Gap Technique (IGT). The researcher and the collaborator worked together in designing the lesson plans, implementing the actions, making observations and reflecting on the results. The subjects of this research study were second semester students from the English Department at Almuslim University. This study was conducted in three cycles following the procedures for action research, namely planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. To collect data, the researcher used instruments of observations, lists, tests and questionnaires. The data obtained was presented in two ways, qualitatively and quantitatively. The findings showed that IGT activities were effective in improving the speaking abilities of the student in class. This can be seen from the improvements after each cycle. This can be seen by the rise in the students’ mean scores in the test results: 58.8 in the first cycle, 68 in the second cycle and 81.3 in the third cycle. Improvement was also seen based on the results from the observations that showed positivity, and good responses from the students. From the questionnaire results, it was found that the mean score for the students’ perception was 3,616. This means that the students responded positively to the implementation of this technique. Dari penelitian diperoleh kuat tarik belah yang dipakai adalah kuat tarik belah rata-rata, dimana kuat tarik belah rata-rata benda uji yang berumur 7 hari yaitu 32,07 kg/cm2, umur 14 hari yaitu 38,30 kg/cm2dan umur 28 hari (air urea) yaitu 36,17 kg/cm2. Sedangkan yang 28 hari (air normal) nilai kuat tarik belah rata-ratanya yaitu 37,05 kg/cm2. Jadi bisa disimpulkan bahwa perbandingan nilai rata-rata kuat tarik belah beton pada air urea 0,86. 1,03. 0,97 berturut-turut untuk masing-masing umur perawatan urea 7 hari, 14 hari, 28 hari, maka dari itu beton yang dirawat pada air urea kuat tarik belah beton lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan yang direndam pada air normal. It was done in 2 cycles, in which each cycle consisted of planning the action, implementing the action, observing the action, and reflection. The instruments used in collecting the data were tests, observation sheets for the researcher and students, and questionnaires for the students. The results showed that KWL strategy gave better result in improving the students’ reading comprehension skills in finding out the main idea, detailed information, word meaning, and references. The results from tests showed that students’ mean score from pre-test was 62.8 and this increased to 68.2 at the end of  cycle 1, and reached 80.4 at the end of cycle 2. Furthermore, the percentage of students’ participation in the teaching and learning process gradually increased. This is shown from the observation checklist where the percentage of students’ involvement is 57% (in the enough category) in cycle 1 and increased up to 80% (in the very good category) in cycle 2. It means that they worked well in conducting all activities.  Furthermore, the results of questionnaire showed that 80% of the students responded positively towards the implementation of KWL. This strategy was found to help overcome problems encountered by teachers in getting the students to be more active to participate in the process of learning, expanding knowledge, learning about their needs and their interests, and activating their background knowledge. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisa pengaruh antrian paket terhadap kualitas layanan wireless multimedia dengan parameter throughput. Terminal Batoh merupakan salah satu terminal angkutan penumpang dalam lingkungan Kota Banda Aceh. Kapasitas lahan parkir pada Terminal Batoh adalah satu faktor yang perlu diperhatikan dalam upaya peningkatan kualitas pelayanan. Untuk itu perlu di lakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengevaluasi kapasitas parkir di Terminal Batoh. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk mengetahui kondisi saat ini dan masa yang akan datang dimana kebutuhan parkir lebih besar dari kapasitasnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode selisih kedatangan dan keberangkatan yang terbesar (metode akumulasi maksimum). Hasil penelitian berupa kebutuhan parkir, karakteristik parkir, lama waktu parkir dan prediksi kapasitas parkir. Hasil yang diperoleh selama 4 hari pengamatan, yaitu volume puncak harian rata-rata untuk kendaraan roda 2 yaitu 250 unit kendaraan/hari dan 160 unit kendaraan/hari untuk kendaraan roda 4. Waktu parkir rata-rata untuk kendaraan roda 2 maupun roda 4 di dalam areal parkir berkisar antara 15 menit. Akumulasi parkir maksimum terjadi pada hari Minggu tanggal 02 Febuari 2014 pukul 20:00 - 20:15 WIB yaitu sebesar 47 unit kendaraan/jam untuk kendaraan roda 2 dan untuk kendaraan roda 4 terjadi pada pukul 20:15 - 20:30 WIB yaitu sebesar 32 unit kendaraan/jam. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas areal parkir yang tersedia di Terminal Batoh Kota Banda Aceh masih mampu menampung volume kendaraan. Volume parkir bertambah setiap tahun di Terminal Batoh Kota Banda Aceh. Adapun prediksi volume parkir pada tahun 2028 diperoleh bahwa Terminal Batoh Kota Banda Aceh tidak akan mampu lagi menampung jumlah kendaraan parkir, baik itu kendaraan roda dua maupun kendaraan roda empat. Hal ini disebabkan oleh meningkatnya volume parkir melebihi kapasitas parkir di Terminal Batoh. Volume parkir untuk kendaraan roda dua yaitu 117 kendaraan dengan kapasitas parkir yang tersedia sebanyak 113 kendaraan. Sedangkan jumlah kendaraan parkir roda empat pada tahun 2028 adalah 66 kendaraan dengan kapasitas parkir yang tersedia di Terminal Batoh sebanyak 62 kendaraan. The study focuses on the students’ performance to verbally respond to simple instructions with acceptable actions within the context of the classroom and school environments and to give verbal expression for some simple acts: showing how to do something simple, gesticulating, and giving directions (as stated in KTSP or Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (School Based Curriculum or SBC) in Depdiknas, 2006). In terms of speaking skills, this study concentrates on the pronunciation and comprehension aspects. To achieve the goal of study, an experimental approach with one-group pre-test and post-test design was used. A number of 20 students out of a 58 student population were selected randomly as the sample for treatment. The results showed that the students’ comprehension and pronunciation improved significantly (from 34 to 60). In conclusion, the combination of IQ, LC and TPR of teaching did improve the ability of students to respond to simple instructions, and to express simple speech for giving simple directions, gesticulating, and showing how to do something simple. The hypothesis (Ha) of this research is then accepted as the combined teaching method generated greater ability in English than previous methods.
