Catfish meat has a yield of 49% and resulted in 51% of waste products. Thus catfish waste product has potency as source of fish oil which riches of omega-3. The Purpose of this study was to evaluate the suitable extaction method to obtain the high quality of fish oil from catfish skin. Based on the oxidative quality analysis data obtained extraction temperature of 60°C gives the best quality of fish oil with parameters such as peroxide value, free fatty acid, p-anisidine value, acid value and total oxidation of 38 meq/kg, 0.45%, 107,5 meq/kg, 895 mg KOH/kg and 187.5, respectively. The best yield was 18.75% which was obtained at extraction temperature of 75 °C. It was concluded that best extraction at 60°C, for 30 minutes, with solvent and sample ratio 1:1. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X-6 MAN 3 Rukoh Banda Aceh yang berjumlah 27 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes, observasi, dan angket. Hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tindakan kelas dan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan (1) Menunjukkan adanya peningkatan ketuntasan rata-rata pada hasil belajar siswa dapat dilihat secara individual, RPP-I hanya 21 siswa yang tuntas, secara klasikal sebesar 77,78%, RPP-II mengalami kenaikan menjadi 24 siswa yang tuntas, secara klasikal sebesar 88,89%, RPP-III terdapat 26 siswa yang tuntas, secara klasikal sebesar 96,29%. (2) Aktivitas guru dan siswa telah mencerminkan pelaksanaan model picture and student active; (3) Keterampilan guru dalam menerapkan model picture and student active telah mengalami peningkatan, yaitu siklus I (2,91) sedang, siklus II (3,3) cukup baik, dan siklus III (3,9) baik; dan (4) Respon rata-rata siswa terhadap model picture and student active yaitu 96,2% senang, 96,2% baru, 100% berminat, 96% jelas, dan 92% model picture and student active. Disarankan kepada guru maupun pihak lain yang mencari solusi untuk membuat siswa lebih aktif dalam pembelajaran terutama geografi, dapat menerapkan model picture and student active. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the distribution of sediments in the estuary of Kuala Gigieng. The study was done on Mei to June 2011 and the sampling was conducted in three areas of estuary i.e. downestuarine, middle-estuarine and river section of Kuala Gigieng. The wet sieving analysis method was used in this study. The data was then weighed and the percentage was calculated and classified based on the Wentworth scale. The results showed that (1) the mean grain size of sediment of each area was 0.50 mm, 0.65 mm and 0.56 mm and the characteristically, the sediment distribution was consisted of medium sand 63.42%, fine sand 23.40%, coarse sand 5.59%, very fine sand-mud 4.13% and pebble 0.17%. The currents speed were 0.25 m/s, 0.23 m/s and 0.19 m/s. The current speed has influenced the sediment distribution where small grains were mostly found at higher current speed. Key words. The purpose of this research was to examine the sediment grains size in Lake Laut Tawar. This research was done during Mei to June 2012. Five sampling stationse were determined  i.e. Toweran, Bintang, Klitu, Boom and Ujung Mumpar. Dry sieving analysis method was used in this study with different diameter stage sediment sieve  such as 4.75 mm, 1.7 mm, 250 µm,  850 µm, 150 µm, 0.2 µm, and 0.063 µm. The data was then weighed and calculated for percentages. The results showed that the sediment in Toweran station was dominated by pebble and medium sand; in Bintang station was dominated by pebble and coarse sand; in Klitu station was dominated by pebble and medium sand; in Boom station was dominated of colloid and remaining shells; and in Ujung Mumpar station was dominated of pebble and coarse sand. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ukuran butir sedimen di Danau Laut Tawar. Penelitian berlangsung pada Bulan Mei sampai Juni 2012. Lokasi sampling terbagi menajdi beberapa stasiun;  Stasiun Toweran, Bintang, Klitu, Boom dan Ujung Mumpar. Sampel sedimen disaring dengan ayakan bertingkat dengan diameter  4,75 mm, 1,7 mm, 250 µm,  850 µm, 150 µm, 0,2 µm, 0,063 µm. Persentase berat fraksi sedimen dihitung berdasarkan saringan sedimen bertingkat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sedimen di Stasiun Toweran dominan kerakal dan batu yang diikuti pasir sedang, di Stasiun Bintang dominan kerakal dan batu yang diikuti pasir sangat kasar, di Stasiun Klitu dominan kerakal dan batu yang diikuti pasir sedang, di Stasiun Boom dominan koloid yang diikuti sisa kerang-kerangan dan di Stasiun Ujung Mumpar dominan kerakal dan batu yang diikuti pasir sangat kasar. Tujuan akhir dari pengembangan adalah meningkatkanproduktivitas, loyalitas, kepuasan kerja dan motivasi kerja yang baik dari setiappegawai. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif,bertujuan untuk mengetahui program pengembangan staf administrasi, pelaksanaanprogram pengembangan staf administrasi, dan tindak lanjut hasil pengembangan stafadministrasi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dandokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah Kepala, Kasubbag Tatausaha dan stafadministrasi pada Balai Bahasa Banda Aceh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan programpengembangan staf administrasi berupa pemberian izin melanjutkan pendidikan kejenjang yang lebih tinggi kepada semua staf administrasi, mengikut sertakan stafadministrasi untuk mengikuti pendidikan dan pelatihan, meningkatkan kinerja efektifdan efesien serta pelaksanaan seminar dan lokakarya tentang pengembangan stafadministrasi. Dalam pelaksanaan program pengembangan staf dengan izin belajar,tidak ada bimbingan ataupun arahan dari pimpinan sebelum melanjutkan pendidikan,tindak lanjut hasil pengembangan, para staf masih menduduki tempat semula tidakada promosi atau jabatan tertentu setelah selesai mengikuti program pengembangan.Kegiatan pengembangan sumber daya manusia kepada staf administrasi yangdilakukan kepala Balai Bahasa Banda Aceh sudah menuju kearah yang lebih baik,walaupun masih ada kekurangan dalam pelaksanaannya, maka kedepan perlu selaludilakukan perbaikan secara terus-menerus menuju kesempurnaan agar nantinya tujuanorganisasi dapat tercapai. Kata Kunci : Pengembangan Staf dan Transformasi.ABSTRACTSubhan Development is an effort increasing technical, theoretical, conceptual technigue and staffs morality approppriate with the working need or positions through aneducacition and training. Development is a conscious, continous and serious effort inirepairing the weaknesses by searching the provision of knowledge, skills, andexperience so that inthe future the staffs are able to do a certain task in better waythan in previous time, in present and future for the personal, organisational nation andcountry improvement. The implementation of the development program can be saidto successsful if there is transpormasi at the participants, by formaing two things: a) arise of skill in doing the taks, b) behavior change reflected in behaviour, discipline,and work ethic. Final objective of development is to increase better productivity,loyalty, working satisfation and working motivation at of the staffs. This reserch useda qualitative approach with a descriptive method, which aimed to find out thedevelopment program of administrative staff, the implementation of administrativestaff development program, and further actions of administrative staff developmentresult. Data collection tehnigue was carried out through observation, interview, anddocumentation. The reserch subjects were the head of office, the head of subsectionadministration and administrative staff at the Language Center of Banda Aceh. Theresearch results showed that program of administrative staff development wasconducted through giving a permission for all administrative staff in continuingeducation at the higher level, asking the administrative staffs for participating ineducation and training, increasing the effective and efficient performance and seminarand workshop implementation about the development of administrative staff. In theimplementation of the staff development program through a program of permission tostudy, there was no a supervision or guidance from the leader before continuingeducation, further actions of the development result, the staffs were still placed atsimilar positions without certain promotion or position after participating thedevelopment program. The activity of human resource development counducted bythe head of the Language Center of Banda Aceh to the administrative staffs has beenheaded to the better direction although there are still weaknesses in its implementation, threfore, in the future, the program needs to be always conductedcontinously for its completeness so that the organisation?s objective can be achieved.
