<text>Effect of Inoculation of Indegenous Population of Arbuscular Mycorrhiza Fungi and Tillage Systems of Mycorrhiza Effectiveness, Yield Components, and Yield of Upland Rice (Oryza sativa L.) on UltisolsABSTRACT. The field experiment was conducted to study the growth characteristics, agronomy characteristics, and yield of upland rice on ultisols with various dosages of AMF inoculants on three tillage systems. The experiment was carried out Kampung Baru village, Bandar Lampung City from April until August 2005. The experiment used a spilt plot pattern in randomized block design. The main plot was soil tillage systems with consisted of three levels, those were intensive tillage, minimum tillage, and no tillage; and sub plot was AMF inoculants dosages with consisted of four levels, those were 0, 6.0, 13.0, and 19.50 ton ha-1. The result of experiment showed that tillage systems and AMF inoculants affected produces the highest yield for rice, and this yield depend on tillage systems. The highest yield of rice was 3,559.03 g 8m-2 obtained of optimum dosage 13 ton ha-1 AMF inoculants in minimum tillage.</text>

The experiment was conducted to study agronomy characteristics and mycorrhiza effectiveness of upland rice in green house with various levels of AMF inoculants and mulch dosage application. The pot of experiment was carried out in the green house of Agricultural Faculty, The University of Lampung from October 2004 untill February 2005. The experiment used randomized complit block design arranged in factorial pattern with two factors. The first factor was dosages of mulch (0, 5, 10, and 15 ton ha-1) and the second factor was AMF inoculants dosages which consist of four levels, those were 0, 25, 50, and 75 g pot-1. The result of this experiment showed that dosages of mulch and AMF inoculants affect to agronomy characteristics and mycorrhiza effectiveness of upland rice in the green house. Up to the certain dosages, inoculants of AMF and mulch raised P content in plant, shoot dry weight, root dry weight, harvest index, and mycorrhiza effectiveness.</text>

<text>(Characteristics and quality of king grass silages treated with various sources and level of carbohydrate fermentable)ABSTRACT . An experiment was carried out from April 1st up to August 18 th 2013. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of source and level fermentable carbohydrate as an additive on the characteristic of ensilage and the contents of crude protein and crude fibre of king grass silage. The methods of this study was experimental, by using Completely Randomized Design. There were 9 treatments, each of which consisted of three replications. The treatments were : A = 1 % of mollases; B = 2 % of mollases; C = 3 % mollases; D = 5 % of rice bran E = 10 % of rice bran; F = 15 % of rice bran; G = 5 % of of cassava cake; H = 10 % of of cassava cake; I = 15 % of cassava cake. Note: all percentages were on the basis of king grass fresh weight. The observed variable were physical characteristics (color, aroma, texture, fungi), pH, temperature, and nutrient contents (crude protein and crude fibre). The result of this study showed that the color change of the silage was as follow: at the 14th and 28th day. The treatment had highly significant effect (P < 0.01) on the color, texture, and fungi of the silage and the content of crude protein, and had no significant effect (P>0,05) on the aroma (smell), temperature, pH and crude fibre. The contrast orthogonal test to the color, aroma, infestation of fungy, crude protein, the treatment of ABC was different relative to those of DEFGHI treatments. This study could be conclude that by wilting of king grass (water content of 60 %), the 1–3 of 3 % of mollases snd 5-15 % usage of rice bran an additive the results are better compared to the usage with additive of cassava cake, viewed from silage’s physical quality as well as its nutrient contents.</text>

<text>Bit-Plane Complexity Segmentation (BPCS) is a fairly new steganography technique. The most important process in BPCS is the calculation of complexity value of a bit-plane. The bit-plane complexity is calculated by looking at the amount of bit changes contained in a bit-plane. If a bit-plane has a high complexity, the bi-plane is categorized as a noise bit-plane that does not contain valuable information on the image. Classification of the bit-plane using the set cripst set (noise/not) is not fair, where a little difference of the value will significantly change the status of the bit-plane. The purpose of this study is to apply the principles of fuzzy sets to classify the bit-plane into three sets that are informative, partly informative, and the noise region. Classification of the bit-plane into a fuzzy set is expected to classify the bit-plane in a more objective approach and ultimately message capacity of the images can be improved by using the Mamdani fuzzy inference to take decisions which bit-plane will be replaced with a message based on the classification of bit-plane and the size of the message that will be inserted. This research is able to increase the capability of BPCS steganography techniques to insert a message in bit-pane with more precise so that the container image quality would be better. It can be seen that the PSNR value of original image and stego-image is only slightly different.</text>

<text>Analysis of Water Balance for Determine Growing Periods Potency of Food Crops in Banten Province Taufan Hidayat, Yonny Koesmaryono, Aris Pramudia ABSTRACTGrowing periods can be determined using water balance analysis to decrease harvest risk in certain area. Generally, there are two types of land use for crop i.e. irrigated land and non-irrigated land. The experiment objectives was to determine growing periods of food crop inBantenProvince. Modified method of Thornthwaite and Mather of bookkeeping system of water balance was used based on decades data. Water balance analysis of irrigated land showed that the area of Serang District had growing periods potencially of 140-170 days with growing periods starting from Dec2 till Jan1, but needed water supply from irrigation as amount 8.5-22.5 mm to grow rice twice a year or planted with other food crops after rice if no irrigation. Meanwhile, Tangerang District (Pakuhaji) and Pandeglang District (Pagelaran) had potency of 182-193 days of growing periods with starting on Sep3 at Pakuhaji and on Dec3 at Pagelaran. In these area rice could be planted twice a year without irrigation. Futher for non-irrigation land with monthly high rainfall, the result showed that the area had potency of growing periods of 182 days through the year. Planting dates might be started from October 1 until December 1, with sequence of rice-rice or rice-rice-other food crops. </text>

<text>Analysis of Drought Level to Reduce Risk of Food Crop Harvest Fails in Banten ProvinceABSTRACT. Climate is one of the most important factor to the success of the agriculture production. Climate variability such as season change, lack or excess of water, are sample examples of climate factors which limit agriculture production. Planning agriculture activities which involving climate factors as one of the consideration will reduce crops production failure. This research conducted to identified the potency of drought at Banten Province by consecutive dry days analysis at 5, 10, and 15 continuous days or more. The result showed that the potency of drought at northern Banten is higher compared to middle and southern Banten. This was showed by the high opportunities of DHK = 5, 10, and 15 continuous days or more, as big as 0,65, 0,46, and 0,28. The lowest potency of drought occur at southern Banten with opportunities of DHK≥ 5, 10, and 15 continuous days or more, each as big as 0,43, 0,30, and 0,18.</text>

<text>Solar Radiation Use Efficiency, Growth and Soba (Fagopyrum esculentum Moench.) Production in Ciawi BogorABSTRACT. Soba (Fagopyrum esculentum Moench) is potential alternative food source because of its chemical contents which are not so different from other main food sources. In its agronomical development, intensive and sustain research are needed to study solar radiation uses efficiencies, growth and yield of soba under different population an time planting. This research conducted from April to August 2000 at BPLP Ciawi – Bogor experiment station 415 meter top of sea level, 106 51 BT and 06 38 LS. Unit of research arranged by factorial completely randomized block design. The population factor consist of 3 level : 200 plants m-2 (P1), 160 plants m-2 (P2) and 133 plants m-2 (P3), and time of planting also consist of 3 levels : on April (T1), May (T2) and June (T3). Solar radiation uses efficiency at early growth to weeks after planting was higher at high population compared to low population, but after 5 weeks of planting or when maximum efficiencies, its higher on P2 compared P3 and P1. This showed that when grain filling and maturing, it is more intensive on low population then high population, however the anova for two factors at maximum efficiencies did not showed significant differences. Growth and yield of soba is better on high population compare to low population. This because on high population the microclimate condition and water availability is more adequate then on low population. There was no significant different on 1000 grain weight caused by two factors. For total yield P1 172,1 gm-2 was highest and significantly different then P2 143,6 gm-2 and P3 123,9 g m-2. Production cause by time of planting did not showed significant different between T1 and T2 but it did on T3. </text>
