Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pendekatan belajar yang dikembangkan oleh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter, Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Syiah Kuala dalam diskusi tutorial yang mereka jalani. Selain itu, penelitian ini ingin melihat apakah ada perbedaan pendekatan belajar yang dikembangkan oleh mahasiswa tahun pertama (angkatan 2011), tahun kedua (angkatan 2010) dan tahun ketiga (angkatan 2009). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang menggunakan pendekatan cross-sectional, berlangsung pada bulan Februari 2012 di Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter, Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Syiah Kuala. Dari 262 sampel, 198 di antaranya merupakan mahasiswa jalur reguler sementara sisanya 64 orang merupakan mahasiswa jalur non reguler. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan, 80.15% dari sampel cenderung lebih mengembangkan pendekatan belajar yang mendalam sementara 19.47% sisanya lebih cenderung mengembangkan pendekatan belajar yang dangkal. Nilai pendekatan belajar mendalam tertinggi tampak pada mahasiswa angkatan 2011 (Mean = 3.48, SD = 0.53), disusul oleh angkatan 2009 (Mean = 3.45, SD = 0.51) dan angkatan 2010 (Mean = 3.40, SD = 0.46). Sebagai kesimpulan, mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter, Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Syiah Kuala menunjukkan pengembangan pendekatan belajar mendalam yang lebih tinggi daripada pendekatan belajar dangkal. The disorder may lead to hypoxia of the fetus inside the womb resulting in neonatal asphyxia which is the main cause of neonatal mortality on a term pregnancy. The study aimed to investigatethe relationship between maternal anemia in a term pregnancy with occurrence of neonatal asphyxia Banda Aceh. This is an analytic study using cross sectional design. The study population was all a term pregnant women who gave birth in Zainoel Abidin Hospital and Mother & Child Hospital, Banda Aceh. Data werecollected from medical records of mothers and babies delivered from January to February 2012. Samples were taken by purposive sampling with 91 samples. Maternal (gravidarum) anemia is defined as the condition in which level of Haemoglobin (Hb) < 11gr/dl and neonatal asphyxia defined as Apgar score < 7 at the first or the fifth minutes. The data analyzed using chi square test (==0.05). The results showed that mother who had anemia and having baby with neonatal asphyxia was 10 (20.8%). It also showed that mothers who suffered from maternal anemia are 4.47 times more likely to have baby with neonatal asphyxia (p value= 0,023). In conclusion, pregnant women with anemia have a higher risk to deliver baby with neonatal asphyxia than those of not anemia.
