The aimof this study was to evaluate the condition of coral reefs and macro invertebrates at Ujong Pancu, Aceh Besar District The study was carried out from April to May 152012. Coral coverage was observed by using Point Intercept Trancect method and Visual census technique for macro invertebrates. There was 50% of hard coral coverage recorded in three observation locations. The predominant genus was Acropora with a percentage of  more than 50% at all locations. The abundance of macro invertebrateswas ranged from 3.75 to 7.75 ind/transect. The most abundant macro invertebrates was Diadema setosum with percentage of more than 40% at each location. The diversity index (H’) of coral reefs and macro invertebrates were ranged from 0.74 - 1.36 and 0.98 – 1.5, respectively. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi terumbu karang dan makro invertebrata di Ujong Pancu. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan April hingga Mei 2012. Tutupan karang diamati dengan menggunakan Metode Point Intercept Transect (PIT) dan makro invertebrata diamati dengan menggunakan metode TeknikVisual Sensus. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa lebih dari 50% tutupan karang keras pada ketiga stasiun pengamatan. Genus yang paling mendominasi pada ketiga stasiun adalah Acropora dengan persentase lebih dari 20% pada setiap stasiun pengamatan. Kelimpahan makro avertebrata berkisar antara 3,75 hingga 7,75 ind/transek. Kelimpahan makro invertebrata terbesar adalah Diadema setosum dengan persentase lebih dari 40% pada setiap stasiun pengamatan. Indeks keanekaragaman (H’) karang dan makro investebrata berkisar antara  0,74 - 1.36 dan 0,98 – 1,5 secara berurutan. Kendala-kendala yang dihadapi Panwaslu dalam melaksanakan tugasnya tidak menyurutkan kinerja Panwaslu terhadap tanggung jawab yang dimilikinya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan kendala yang dihadapi Panwaslu dan menjelaskan solusi yang dilakukan Panwaslu dalam menghadapi kendala pada Pemilukada Walikota dan wakil Walikota Banda Aceh pada Tahun 2012.Untuk memperoleh data dalam penulisan skripsi ini dilakukan penelitian kepustakaan dan penelitian lapangan. Penelitian kepustakaan dilakukan untuk mendapatkan data sekunder dengan mengkaji buku-buku, peraturan perundang undangan, dan bahan lainnya yang berkaitan dengan penelitian ini, kemudian penelitian lapangan untuk mendapatkan data primer yang dilakukan dengan cara mewawancarai responden dan informan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kendala yang dihadapi Panwaslu dalam menjalankan pengawasannya pada Pemilukada Walikota dan wakil Walikota Banda Aceh Tahun 2012 yang pertama pelanggaran administrasi, kedua pelanggaran pidana serta yang ketiga pelanggaran kode etik. Accounting conservatism is a dependent variable in this study that measured by book to market ratio. Independent variable in this study are frequency of audit committee meeting and competence of audit committee. The samples of this research are the financial firms listed in indonesian stock exchange in 2010-2012. The samples are collected using simple random sampling method and resulted 38 firms become the samples. Data analyzed by classic assumption tests and examination hypothesis by multiple linear regression method.The result of this research show that frequency of audit committee meeting has significant negative effect to accounting conservatism because accounting conservatism values that measured by book to market ratio is still much less than 1 which means that the firm is still less conservative. Competence of audit committee has significant positive effect to accounting conservatism because the better in the competence of audit committee of a firm in monitoring mechanism would be the better so as to prevent the management actions that harm the firm. Konservatisme akuntansi merupakan variabel dependen dalam penelitian ini yang diukur dengan rasio book to market. Variabel independen yang diteliti antara lain frekuensi pertemuan komite audit dan kompetensi komite audit. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah perusahaan keuangan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2010-2012. Sampel dipilih menggunakan metode simple random sampling dan diperoleh 38 perusahaan yang menjadi sampel. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji asumsi klasik dan pengujian hipotesis dengan metode regresi linier berganda.Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa frekuensi pertemuan komite audit berpengaruh secara negatif terhadap konservatisme akuntansi dikarenakan nilai konservatisme akuntansi yang diukur dengan menggunakan rasio book to market masih banyak yang bernilai dibawah 1 yang berarti bahwa perusahaan tersebut masih kurang konservatif. Kompetensi komite audit berpengaruh secara positif terhadap konservatisme akuntansi dikarenakan dengan semakin baiknya kompetensi komite audit dalam suatu perusahaan maka mekanisme pengawasan akan menjadi semakin baik pula sehingga dapat mencegah pihak manajemen melakukan tindakan yang dapat merugikan perusahaan. Research to determine the selectivity of fraction Rf &lt; 0.5 of ethyl acetate extract (EtOAc) of putat air kernel (Barringtonia racemosa) on golden apple snail(Pomacea canaliculata) and local catfish (Clarias batrachus) was conducted in February 2012 at the Laboratory of Chemistry of Teacher Training and Education Faculty and Laboratory of Marine Chemistry of Coordinatorate of Marine and Fisheries of Syiah Kuala University. Thin-layer chromatography was used to separate components in the extract samples, and testing of biological activity based on the procedures recommended by FAO. Golden apple snail and local catfish mortality data were analyzed using Probit program, and value of selectivity (S) was processed according to the Wang and Feng’s formula.The values of LC50 of the fraction Rf &lt; 0.5 were 29.26 ppm for P. canaliculata and 44.47 ppm for C. batracus. The selectivity value for the tested organisms was 1.51. This study revealed that the tested extract has bioactive property as molluscicide of P. canaliculata.Key words. Kegiatan pembelajaran yang melibatkan siswa secara langsung lebih memudahakan pemahaman siswa bila dibandingkan siswa yang hanya mendengarkan penjelasan dari gurunya atau yang biasa kita kenal dengan istilah ceramah. Model jigsaw dan model konvensonal merupakan dua model pembelajaran yang mungkin bisa menumbuh kembangkan pemikiran siswa kearah yang lebih aktif dan kreatif serta dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam belajar. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan model jigsaw lebih baik dibandingkan dengan model konvensonal. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui perbandingan hasil belajar IPS Terpadu siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dan model konvensonal. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 1 Baitussalam. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran jigsaw lebih baik daripada hasil belajar siswa yang dipelajari dengan menggunakan model konvensonal dalam mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu di SMPN 1 Baitussalam. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa-siswi kelas VII yang berjumlah dua kelas yang terdiri dari 36 orang siswa, dan sampel penelitian adalah 19 orang Kelas VIIa dan 17 orang siswa kelas VIIb. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes, yaitu pre-test dan post-test siswa pada materi kegiatan ekonomi. Untuk pengolahan data digunakan dengan metode Fisher untuk uji homogenitas, uji Chi-kuadrat untuk uji normalitas dan uji-t untuk uji persamaan rata-rata uji satu pihak. Selanjutnya pembuktian hipotesis statistik didapat thitung = 1,72 lebih besar dari ttabel 1,69, sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dengan demikian, hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunkan model pembelajaran jigsaw lebih baik dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model konvensonal. Salinity plays an important role for phenomenon identification of upwelling and downwelling. Upwelling that occurs in the Indian Ocean south of Java to South of Bali is influenced by monsoons, ENSO (El Nino Southern Oscillation) and IOD (Indian Dipole Oscillation Mode). Upwelling and downwelling patterns based on vertical structure of salinity and its seasonal variability within seven years (2004 to 2010) is studied here. Argo Float dataset is used in this study, processed by Ferret software for a vertical schematic model, and Pearson correlated with IOD and SOI indexes. The aim of this study is to  obtain the pattern of upwelling and downwelling based on profile of seasonal salinity during the period 2004-2010 in Indian Ocean south of Java – Bali and correlated with ENSO and IOD.  Further discussion on upwellling is provided since it is more important to the fisheries activity. Result shows an intensive upwelling phenomenon occurs at 110°E correlated with fishing ground area. ENSO and IOD phenomena has been founded also affect upwelling. Upwelling increasing in intensity during the La Nina - IOD (+). Salinitas berperan penting untuk mengidentifikasi fenomena upwelling dan downwelling. Upwelling yang terjadi di samudera Hindia Selatan Jawa hingga Selatan Bali dipengaruhi oleh angin musim, ENSO (El Nino Southern Oscillation) dan IOD (Indian Oscillation Dipole Mode). Dalam peneletian ini dikaji pola upwelling dan downwelling berdasarkan distribusi salinitas secara vertikal dan vaeriabilitas musiman dikaji dalam waktu tujuh tahun (2004 – 2010). Data hasil akuisisi argo float digunakan dalam penelitian ini, diolah menggunakan software Ferret selanjutnya dilakukan  pembuatan model skematik  dan analisa korelasi pearson terhadap Indeks IOD dan SOI. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memperoleh pola upwelling dan downwelling terhadap musim berdasarkan profil salinitas selama periode 2004 – 2010 di Samudera Hindia Selatan Jawa hingga Bali dan hubungannya dengan fenomena ENSO dan IOD.Penelitian lebih lanjut tentang upwelling penting untuk industri perikanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Fenomena upwelling secara intensif terjadi pada koordinat bujur 110°BT, menunujukkan adanya kesesuaian dengan lokasi daerah penangkapan ikan. Fenomena ENSO dan IOD juga mempengaruhi upwelling, intensitasnya meningkat saat periode La Nina-IOD (+).
