<text>           The objective of this research was to study content of heavy metal  (Pb) in soil and lettuce tissue caused by organic and inorganic fertilizers application. This research applied a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 replicates. The first factor was organic fertilizer, consisting of 4 levels and the second factor was inorganic fertilizers, consisting of 2 levels. Variables observed were fresh weight, and content of heavy metal in soil and tissue. Results showed that application of organic and inorganic fertilizers could reduce level of lead Pb) in soil and plant tissue. The highest Pb concentration was in the treatment without organic fertilizer and the lowest Pb concentration was in the organic fertilizer of 45 tons per ha, which was not significantly different from the organic fertilizer of 30 tons per ha. The highest plant fresh weight was obtained in dosage of organic fertilizer 15 tons/ha in the second planting. The best combination for plant fresh weight was an organic fertilizer of 15 tons/ha and an inorganic fertilizer of 1000 kg/ha. </text>

This study aims to determine the effect of cutting and way of giving proper rootone F and the presence or absence of interaction between the two factors under study on the growth of cutting roses. The research was conducted in the Village of Blang Cut, District Leung Bata, Banda Aceh, the ongoing since August – October 2006. This research used randomized block design factorial pattern of 3x4 with 3 replications. There are two factors studied were the first factor is the cutting material (S) which consists of 3 levels: the base of cutting (S1), cutting the middle (S2) and cutting the tip (S3), the second factor is the form rootone F consists of 4 levels: Control (R0), from a paste (R1), the form of flour (R2) and forms a solution of (R3). Observed in this study is to shoot length, number of shoot, number of compound leaves per shoot, number of root and root length. The result showed that the materials have strong cuttings of shoot number of age 60 days after transplanting (DAT), the number of compound leaves per shoot, number of roots and root length HST age 80, the best result encountered in cutting edge treatment material (S3) Treatment rootone F shows that the effect is very significant effect on the number of shoots age 60 DAT, the number of compound leaves, number of root and root length HST age 80, the best result encountered in the treatment of flour (R2). There is significant interaction on the number of compound leaves per shoot, root length and number of root age 80 DAT, the best interaction was obtained at S3R2 combination treatment.</text>

<text>ABSTRAK. This study aims to determine the influence of the  buds and growing media on the growth of Jatropha and the presence or absence of interaction between these factors. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture experiment station Syiah Kuala University in Banda Aceh Darussalam which lasted from October 8 to December 8, 2007. This research use randomized block design (RAK) factorial pattern. There are 2 factors studied, the first factor is the number of buds (J) and the second factor is the planting media (M), each of which consists of 3 levels with 3 replications. Observations were observed and the number of shoots, shoot length, number of leaves per shoot, number of leaves per cutting, number of roots and root length. The results showed that the number of buds very real effect on the growth of Jatropha plants cuttings. Number of best buds obtained at 12 (T2). The composition of growth media also affect the growth of Jatropha plantscuttings and the best growing media found on the composition of the planting medium sand: soil: manure: chaff (M1) and there is interaction between the two while the best combination found in the number of buds growing media 14 with sand: soil : manure: chaff (M3T1)</text>

<text>The Response of Sweet Corn (Zea mays, Sacharate SHOUT) on Mulch and Organic FertilizerABSTRACT. This study aims to determine the response of maize (Zea mays, Sacharata SHOUT) against the use of several types of organic mulch and organic fertilizer super nasa and whether there is an interaction between both factors. This research has been conducted in the village of Kuala  Batee, Terbue District of Southwest Aceh district which lasted from 17 july - 30 october 2008, and with Research Randomized factorial arranged with the combined treatment of organic mulch (M) that M1 = straw, M2 = bagase, M3= rice husk, while the organic fertilizer treatments super nasa (P) is P1 = 10 g / l of water, P2 = 20 g / l of water and P3 = 30 g / l of water with three replications. Results showed that oral administration of organic mulch significantly affect corn production, the best production of mulch was found in rice husk (M3) significant than other types of organic mulch. Fertilizer did not affect the process of growth and yield of maize. There is interaction between the type of Mulching with organic fertilizer super nasa. The best combination was obtained in the combined treatment  M2P1  or M3P3.</text>

<text>Response of shoot of cactus  (Mammillaria myriacantha) to various concentrations of NAA and BAP in Vitro Mardhiah Hayati Fakultas Pertanian Unsyiah Darussalam Banda Aceh ABSTRACT The research was arranged in a factorial completely randomized design 3 x 3 with 5 replicates. Factors evaluated were concentration of NAA (0, 2, 4 mgl-1), and concentration of BAP (0, 3, 6 mgl-1). Variables observed were initiation time, shoot numbers, shoot height, root number at 2 and 4 weeks after culturing (WAC) and life percentage, dead percentage, contamination percentage. The results showed that NAA significantly affected initiation time and shoot numbers at 4 WAC.  The best initiation time was found at concentration of  NAA 4 mgl-1 and the best shoot numbers was found at concentration of NAA 2 dan 4 mgl-1. BAP had significant effect on  shoot number 4 WAC, shoot height 2 WAC, and root numbers at 2 and 4 WAC.  The best shoot numbers and shoot height were found at  BAP 3 mgl-1 but did not significantly differ from BAP 6 mgl-1.  The best root numbers, however, was at no BAP.  There was no significant interaction between both factors. </text>

<text>The Aplication of PaddyHusks As An Alternative  Medium and  Test of Efectivity Of Foliar Fertilizer on Growth and Yield of Tomato In Hydroponics ABSTRACT             A research of using various media and fertilizers on tomato planted hydroponically has been conducted in the green house of Agriculture faculty, Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh, starting from July to November 2002. The objective of research was to observe the influence of various media and fertilizer, as well as the interaction of each other to the growth and yield of tomato planted hydroponically. The treatment composed of two factors, namely various media (paddy’s husks / kuntan, sands, and mixture of  kuntan and sands) and fertilizers (Vitamon, Bayfolan, Complesal and Hoagland solution). The research was assigned in completely randomized design in a factorial manner, consisting three replications. The results showed that the best growth and highest yield of the tomato were found in the mixture medium (kuntan + sands). These results were significantly different from those of the single medium. The use of Hoagland solution resulted on the best growth and highest yield of tomato which were not significantly different from those of Bayfolan and Complesal Fertilizer. It is observed that there were no significant interactions between the two factors tested.  </text>

<text>The Effect of Lamtorogung Manure (Leucaena leucocephala) and Planting Spacing on Growth and Yield of Tomatoes (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.)ABSTRACT. The aim of this study was to find out the effect of dosages of lamtorogung manure and planting spacing, and interaction between them, on both growth and yield of tomatoes. Treatments were arranged by Factorial Completely Randomized Block Design 3 x 3 with 3 replications. Factors evaluated  were dosage of lamtorogung manure (15, 25 and 35 ton ha-1) and planting spacing (50 cm x 60 cm,  50 cm x 70 cm and 50 cm x 80 cm). Variables observed were the height of plant and diameter of the lower end of stem  at 15, 30 and 45 days after planting, the number of fruits per plant  (3 times harvest), the weight of fruits per plant, and diameter of fruit. The result of the study indicated  that dosage of lamtorogung manure of 25 ton ha-1 was the best for the highest tomato yield, and planting spacing of 50 cm x 80 cm was the best for both plants growth and yield. There was no interaction between both treatments towards growth and yield.</text>

This study was aimed at determining nutrient composition and tomato varieties, and the interaction between these two factors on the growth and yield of tamato in substrate system hydroponics. The experimental design used was completely factorial randomized design. There were 2 factors studied, nutrient composition (Nutrisi Hara Spesial/ NHS, Hartuse and Growmore formulas) and tomato’s varieties (Epoch (S-901), Jelita and Donna). Variables observed in this study were plant height, stem diameter, fruit diameter, fruit number and weight of the total fruit crop per plant. The result showed that the nutrient composition significantly affect the plant height at 15 and 30 DAT, stem diameter increment at 15, 30 and 45 DAT, fruit diameter, fruit number and weight of the total fruit crop per plant. The significant effect on plant height 45 days after planting was also found. The best growth and yield of tomato plants were found in nutrient composition of NHS. Tomato’s variety had a very significant effect on plant height at 45 DAT, significantly affected plant height age 30 DAT and the number of fruit per plant. The growth and yield tomato variety was Jelita. There was no significant interaction between nutrient compositions treatment on tomato’s varieties on all the observed variables.</text>

The Effect of Varieties and Dosage of SP-36 Fertilizer on Growth and Yield of Peanuts (Arachis Hypogaea L.)ABSTRACT. This study aimed at finding the best varieties and the right dosage of SP-36 fertilizer and the interaction of both factors on the growth and yield of peanut crops. The research was conducted in the village of Darussalam-Banda Aceh, from August to November, 2009. Experimental design was used in this study with Randomized Block Design patterns of 3 x 3 factorial with three replications. Two factors investigated were varieties (Gajah, Kuala Batee, dan Kelinci), and applied dosages of SP 36 fertilizer (100, 150 and 200kg ha-1). Variables observed in the study were plant height and number of branches per plant, the number of pods per plant, the number of empty pods per plant, total number of pods per plant, weight of pods per plant, dry weight of 100 seeds, dry seed weight per plot and the net weight of dried beans per hectare. The results showed that the varieties have a effect on plant height, pods number per plant, number of pods per plant and the total weight of 100 dry seeds. Best growth and results were found in varieties of gajah. Dose of fertilizer has a real effect on plant height. A better result was found in SP-36 of 150 kg ha-1.</text>

<text>Optimization of Three Sata Formulation on Indonesian, Malayan, and Chinese through Sensory Evaluation Rita Hayati Fakultas Pertanian Unsyiah, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam  ABSTRACT Result of the study showed that optimum region for sata production using boiled tuna fish, katsoubushi and surimi were 36-40%, 39-85% and 0-12%, respectively.  Three formulations were selected for validation study.  Two formulation were from acceptance region (F1=0.37 of boiled fish, 0.46 katsoubushi, 0.17 surimi, F2 =0.37 of boiled fish, 0.40 katsoubushi, 0.22 surimi), and one formulation from rejection region (F3 =12.5 of boiled fish, 75 katsoubushi, and 12.5 surimi). The validation of the three optimum points using sensory evaluation showed that formulation F1 was most acceptable followed by F2 and F3. There was significant difference (P≤0.05) between F1 and F2 when compared to F3, thus model equation was able to predict the optimum points.  </text>
