In such case, this microorganism has the potential to produce enzymes that able to function at elevated temperature. These enzymes are also essential in the field of molecular biology and recombinant technologies. Therefore, the enzymes produced by Candida albicans could be applied in the polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The PCR is the most widely used in DNA amplification. In this study, Candida spp. were successfully isolated and collected from Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia, Kubang Kerian, Kelantan, Malaysia. Different culture media were used to identify the morphology of colony. Based on the colonies growth on chromogenic agar, Candida sp. was identified. Microscopic examination (light and scanning microscopy) was carried out to identify the morphology of the isolate. A presumptive identification of germ tube test was performed to find out the dimorphic and pathogenicity characteristic of isolate. The formation of germ tubes from the isolate showed positive result of Candida albicans. A commercial Analytical Profile Index (API) Candida identification kit was used in this study as a phenotypic identification of Candida sp. The result of API Candida was confirmed that the isolate was the Candida albicans. Candida albicans was successfully isolated and identified phenotypically in this study for future in house helicase production. Salah satu tindakan bedah definitif pada penyakit Hirschsprung adalah prosedur Transanal Endorectal Pull Through (TEPT) yang menunjukkan hasil memuaskan khususnya pada tipe rektosigmoid. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran outcome pasien penyakit Hirschsprung pasca operasi TEPT. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan retrospektif yang dilakukan pada pasien penyakit Hirschsprung yang telah menjalani operasi lebih dari 6 bulan di RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh kemudian dihubungi melalui telepon untuk menilai outcome fungsi anorektal pasca tindakan TEPT dengan menggunakan kuesioner Heikkinen. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 36 responden yang akan dianalisis menggunakan analisis univariat dan tabulasi silang. Hasil penelitian didapatkan outcome fungsi anorektal paling banyak adalah kontinensia baik (50%), usia pasien saat dilakukan tindakan operasi paling banyak adalah 0-1 bulan (38,9%), usia pasien saat dilakukan follow-up paling banyak adalah 1-5 tahun (86,1%), jenis kelamin paling banyak adalah laki-laki (63,9%), panjang reseksi usus paling banyak adalah kelompok 10-20 cm (94,4%), dan lama rawatan paling banyak adalah 4-7 hari (61,1%). Penilaian outcome fungsi anorektal ini dapat dijadikan sebagai evaluasi terhadap manajemen penyakit Hirschsprung.Kata kunci : penyakit Hirschsprung, prosedur TEPT, outcome fungsi anorektal. Pada penelitian ini diuji 3 buah balokberukuran 15 x 30 x 220 cm yang mengalami gagal geser. Kegagalan geser inidiperoleh dengan memperkuat kapasitas lentur balok. BCS yang digunakan lolossaringan # 19,9 mm dan tertahan disaringan # 4,76 mm. BCS ini didatangkan dariCot Girek Aceh Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan tulangan ulir baik untuktulangan utama maupun untuk tulangan sengkang, dengan variasi jarak sengkang;20 cm, 25 cm dan tanpa sengkang. Mutu leleh baja yang digunakan 415,3 MPauntuk tulangan utama dan 359,5 MPa untuk tulangan sengkangnya. Diametertulangan tekan digunakan 2 D12,6 mm dan 4 D15,6 mm untuk tulangan tarik,adapun tulangan sengkang yang digunakan diameter 7,6 mm. Pengujian dilakukandi Laboratorim Konstruksi dan Bahan Bangunan (LKBB) Fakultas TeknikUniversitas Syiah Kuala. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai kapasitas geser untukmasing-masing variabel jarak tulangan sengkang yaitu; balok dengan jaraksengkang 20 cm, kapasitas gesernya = 70,68 kN; balok dengan jarak sengkang 25cm, kapasitas gesernya = 60,87 kN; balok tanpa sengkang, kapasitas gesernya =26,68 kN dan balok beton konvensional dengan jarak sengkang 25 cm, kapasitasgesernya = 82,80 kN.
