Sea ranching activity is highly depending on the ecology of coral reef condition. Floating cages activities in Semak Daun island has potential to produce waste along with organic waste from other anthropogenic activities in land and its will lead to eutrophication causing degradation of coral reefs. This study was conducted from May to July 2013. A survey method was used to obtain primary data. Data sets also supported by secondary data. Waste loads estimation of net aquaculture that enter the waters was 1178.1 Kg/ton of fish production (N 243.9 Kg/ton of fish and P 54.1 Kg/ton of fish). Estimated of anthropogenic waste load around the Semak Daun island was 4167 Kg N and 1738.8 Kg P. Based on N load, the carrying capacity of Semak Daun Island for grouper floating cages was 32 unit (192 raft) or 2 ha of 9.99 ha area that appropriate for floating cage activities. Kegiatan Sea ranching sangat tergantung kondisi ekologi terutama ekositem terumbu karang. Dengan adanya aktivitas keramba jaring apung yang terdapat di perairan Pulau Semak Daun memiliki potensi untuk menghasilkan limbah pakan bersama dengan limbah organik yang berasal dari berbagai kegiatan di darat dan apabila tidak terkendali dengan baik akan menyebabkan terjadinya eutrofikasi  sehingga menyebabkan degradasi terumbu karang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei sampai Juli 2013. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi data primer dan data sekunder. Menggunakan Analisis dilakukan terhadap estimasi limbah organik dan analisis daya dukung perairan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan estimasi beban limbah budidaya jaring apung yang masuk ke perairan Pulau Semak Daun yaitu sebesar 1.178,1 Kg /ton ikan produksi (N 243,9 Kg/ton ikan dan P 54,1 Kg/ton ikan). Estimasi limbah antropogenik dari daratan sekitar pulau Semak Daun diperoleh 4.167 Kg N dan 1.738,8 Kg P. Berdasarkan pendekatan beban limbah N, daya dukung lingkungan perairan Pulau Semak Daun untuk pengembangan KJA ikan kerapu adalah 32 unit (192 petak KJA) atau 2 ha dari 9,99 ha luasan yang sesuai untuk kegiatan KJA. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif. Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif, dimana data dikumpulkan, diinterpretasikan dan dianalisa sehingga memberikan keterangan-keterangan lengkap bagi pemecahan masalah yang dihadapi. Biogeochemical cycles in coastal ecosystem is influencing the water quality and it is further affect on productivity and sustainability of coastal waters. Carbondioxide is one of the important parameter in biogeochemical cycles in coastal waters, it is formed as DIC (Dissolved Inorganic Carbon) in water and TOC (Total Organic Carbon) in sediment. The purpose of this research was to determine the distribution concentration of dissolved CO2 in the southern coastal waters of Natuna Islands. Insitu measurement was conducted for some parameters of water qualities both physical (i.e. temperature and turbidity) and chemical (i.e. DO, pH and salinity) parameters. DIC was analyzed in LIPI laboratory using Giggenbach titration method, while TOC in sediment was analyzed in Proling Laboratory, Institut Pertanian Bogor. The water quality of the southern coastal waters of Natuna Islands generally in a good condition according to the Ministry of Environment Decree, Number 51, year 2004. The results showed that spacial distribution of DIC ranged from 1.9 to  2.3 mol/kg, while TOC content of the water was ranged from 0.25 g/kg to 1.19 g/kg. Sediment distributions were dominated by sandy, silty sand, sandy silt and coral reefs, therefore the sediment has potencial as organic carbon storage and indicates a good productivity.Keywords: Carbondioxide; Dissolved Inorganic Carbon; Total Organic Carbon; Natuna Islands Abstrak.  Siklus biogeokimia yang terjadi pada ekosistem pesisir dapat mempengaruhi kualitas perairan dan berfungsi sebagai penunjang keberlanjutan dan kesuburan perairan. Karbondioksida adalah salah satu parameter penting dalam siklus biogeokimia di perairan pesisir baik berupa DIC (Dissolved Inorganic Carbon) di dalam air maupun berupa TOC (Total Organic Carbon) di dalam sedimen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sebaran kandungan CO2 terlarut di perairan pesisir selatan Kepulauan Natuna. Pengukuran insitu dilakukan terhadap beberapa parameter kualitas air baik fisika (temperatur dan kecerahan) maupun kimia (DO, pH dan salinitas). Metode titrasi Giggenbach digunakan untuk analisis DIC di laboratorium LIPI, sedangkan TOC dalam sedimen dianalisis di laboratorium Proling, IPB. Kualitias air di perairan pesisir selatan Kepulauan Natuna secara umum masih berada dalam kondisi baik berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Negara Lingkungan Hidup No. 51 tahun 2004. Hasil penelitian menunjukan sebaran spasial parameter kandungan CO2 dengan kandungan DIC berkisar antara 1,9-2,3 mol/kg, sedangkan kandungan TOC perairan berkisar antara 0,25-1,19 g/kg. The survey was conducted 3 times on July 2013, October 2013 and January 2014 as representative of dry, transition and tide seasons. The fish sampling was conducted by gillnets and fish traps. A total of 35 fish species were recorded during the study; 23 species in dry season, it was dominated by tembakang fish (Helostoma temminckii) from family Helosmatidae, Sepat siam fish(Trichogaster pectoralis) from Belontiidae family, and snakehead fish (Channa striata) of Channidae family. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian (1) Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Quiz dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa dengan persentase ketuntasan individual meningkat dari 78% pada siklus pertama menjadi 86% pada siklus kedua, dan persentase ketuntasan klasikal pun meningkat dari 30%, menjadi 90%; (2) Persentase aktivitas guru dan siswa meningkat, aktivitas guru an siswa telah mencerminkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Quz; (3) Keterampilan guru dalam penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Quiz meningkat dari katagori sedang menjadi baik sekali; dan (4) Respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Quiz baik, dimana 13 siswa berpendapat bahwa melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Quiz dapat meningkatkan pemahaman terhadap materi yang telah dipelajari yaitu pranata sosial. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Quiz dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pranata sosial.
