Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Peningkatan hasil belajar geografi; (2) Aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran geografi; (3) Keterampilan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran geografi; dan (4) Respon siswa terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran model berkirim salam dan soal. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII-1 SMP Negeri 5 Banda Aceh yang berjumlah 22 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes, lembar pengamatan aktivitas guru dan siswa, lembar pengamatan keterampilan guru mengelola pembelajaran, dan angket respon siswa. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian diperoleh dengan (1) Persentase ketuntasan secara individual meningkat siklus I dari 22 siswa ada 7 siswa yang belum tuntas dan siklus II dari 22 siswa 3 siswa yang belum tuntas, persentase ketuntasan klasikal meningkat dari 70% menjadi 90%; (2) Aktivitas guru yang dominan adalah menyuruh siswa menuliskan beberapa pertanyaanan dan membuat jawaban serta membuat yel-yel yang akan dikirimkan ke kelompok lain 18,75% kategorinya kurang baik dan siklus II sebesar 18,75% kategorinya baik. Aktivitas siswa yang dominan membuat soal dan jawaban serta yel-yel yang akan dikirim ke kelompok lain, pada siklus I sebesar 18% kategorinya kurang baik dan siklus II sebesar 19,5% kategorinya baik; (3) Keterampilan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran pada siklus I skor rata-rata yang diperoleh adalah 2,56 dikategorikan sedang dan siklus II skor rata-rata yang diperoleh mencapai 3,28 dikategorikan baik; dan (4) Respon siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran berkirim salam dan soal dikatakan baik dimana; dapat memperjelas pemahaman siswa terhadap materi kehidupan sosial manusia dengan persentase rata-rata 95 persen, minat untuk mengikuti pembelajaran selanjutnya sangat besar dengan persentase rata-rata 95 persen, kejelasan bahasa yang digunakan guru dengan persentase rata-rata 93 persen, merasa baru dengan komponen pembelajaran dengan persentase 92 persen, merasa senang dengan komponen pembelajaran dengan pesentase rata-rata 86 persen. Factors studied were time interval of providing liquid organic fertilizer Enviro, consisting of 4 levels ( 5, 7, 9 and 11 days and varieties, consisting of 2 levels (local varieties and Hercules 56). Variables observed were plant height, fruit numbers, fruit length, fruit diameter, and fruit Weights. Results showed that the time interval of providing liquid organic fertilizer Enviro did not affect plant height at age of 10, 20, and 30 days after planting (DAP), the number, length, diameter and weight of cucumber fruits harvested for 4 times. On the other hand, variety exerted significant effects on plant height at age of 10, 20 and 30 DAP, the number, length and weight of fruits, but did not exert a significant effect on fruit diameter. The best growth and length of cucumber fruits were found on varieties Hercules 56, while the number, diameter and weight of fruits of four Time harvest were found on local varieties. There was no significant  interaction between time interval and variety on all variables observed.
