The effect of ratio of ginger to solvent (ethanol, X1), extraction temperature (X2), and extraction duration (X3) are studied on the yield of oleoresin. Response surface design method with Central Composite Design (CCD) was used to obtain a mathematical model which describes the relationship between the yield of ginger oleoresin and influencing variables. Patchouli oil is widely used in industry as provider of aroma and flavour. Quality of patchouli oil is determined by its natural characteristics and foreign materials contain in the patchouli oil. The foreign materials contain in the patchouli oil can be damage the quality of patchouli oil. Aceh Province is the largest contribute in producing patchouli oil in Indonesia. Patchouli oil processing areas in the Aceh region, precisely in the North Aceh and South Aceh district. In generally farmer of patchouli in Aceh is traditional farmer and many of them not yet follow the best refine system. They do it base of previously experience. Refinery equipment that used from former drum that can be reaction with patchouli oil, with the result can to change chemistry structure of patchouli oil, so that the oil produced is dirty and has dark colour and does not meet the specified quality requirements). The main purpose of this research is to increase yield and the quality of patchouli oil by using of refinery equipment modification process to meet quality standards. In this research the former drum is replaced by stainless steel drum. Method of test quality and procedure of test quality same as standard method of SNI-06-2385-2006. Onestep simplex reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) merupakan salah satu metode diagnosis yang dapat diandalkan untuk mendeteksi virus AI. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menerapkan metode diagnosis cepat virus AI pada spesimen lapangan secara langsung dari pasar unggas berdasarkan amplifikasi RT-PCR gen M dan H5 dengan metode yang berbasis onestep simplex RT-PCR tanpa melalui proses inokulasi dan propagasi virus AI dalam telur ayam berembrio (TAB). Sebanyak 35 sampel spesimen lapangan dari swab trakea unggas yang berasal dari pasar unggas di Terban, Kotamadya Yogyakarta digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Amplifikasi DNA secara onestep simplex RT-PCR pada gen matriks (M) dilakukan terhadap seluruh sampel. Pada sampel-sampel yang menunjukkan hasil positif pada amplifikasi gen M kemudian dilakukan amplifikasi RT-PCR secara lebih lanjut untuk gen H5 virus AI. Produk hasil amplifikasi RT-PCR gen M dan H5 divisualisasikan menggunakan elektroforesis gel agarose konsentrasi 1% dengan pewarnaan SYBR® Safe DNA Gel Staining. Hasil amplifikasi RT-PCR gen M menunjukkan bahwa dari 35 sampel diperoleh 8 sampel positif terinfeksi virus AI tipe A yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya fragmen DNA sebesar 200 bp, sedangkan hasil amplifikasi gen H5 sebanyak 5 dari 8 sampel-sampel tersebut merupakan virus AI tipe A subtipe H5 yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya fragmen DNA sebesar 545 bp. Diagnosis cepat virus AI tipe A subtipe H5 secara langsung dari spesimen lapangan di pasar unggas dapat dilakukan dengan metode onestep simplex RT-PCR, namun metode diagnosis tersebut tidak dapat mendeteksi keberadaan virus AI dalam sampel yang virusnya terlalu sedikit. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengatahui pengaruh antara mata kuliah praktikum fisika modern? (X?_(1 )) dan teori fisika modern? (X?_(2 )) terhadap nilai mata kuliah fisika kuantum. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa program studi Fisika FKIP Unsyiah angkatan 2010 yang telah mengambil mata kuliah praktikum dan teori fisika modern serta fisika kuantum yang berjumlah 94 orang terbagi ke dalam 3 Unit yaitu Reg A, B dan C. Mengingat banyaknya populasi maka peneliti mengambil sampel yaitu Reg B yang berjumlah 33 orang. Data yang dikumpulka berupa nilai DPNA dari Prodi Fisika, sedangkan untuk mengolah data dilakukan dengan analisis koefisien korelasi ganda. Untuk menguji Hipotesis pengaruh Uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif antara varibel?
