This research was conducted at the Dr. Zainoel Abidin General Hospital (RSUDZA) in Banda Aceh province of Indonesia. A cross-sectional study design was adopted for this research. Eighty nine HCWs were included in this study and they were selected purposively. Pearson correlation analysis, analysis of variance or independent sample t test analysis was used according to the type of data. We found that the level of S&amp;D attitude towards PLHIV in RSUDZA is high. Based on the Least Significant Difference Test, the average score of the answers between nurses and general practitioners and between nurses and medical students was significantly different(p=0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that the levels of S&amp;D attitude towards PLHIV was positively correlated with age (r=0.219, p=0.04) and irrational fear of HIV transmission (r=0.352, p=0.001) and negatively correlated with knowledge about HIV/AIDS (r=-0.336, p=0.001). Pearson correlation analysis also found that knowledge of HIV/AIDS negatively correlated with the irrational fear of HIV transmission (r=0.382, p=0.000). In addition, the level of S&amp;D attitude towards PLHIV was also associated with marital status of HCWs (p=0.020). Gender, education level, religion and the importance of religion in HCW lives wasn`t significantly affect to the level of S&amp;D attitude towards PLHIV in HCW. We concluded that the factors that influence the level of S&amp;D attitude towards PLHIV among the HCW are age, marital status, knowledge of HIV/AIDS, irrational fear of HIV transmission and HCWs occupations. Hampir setengah dari bayi dengan Sindrom Down akan menderita kelainan jantung bawaan. Kelainan kromosom yang didapat memungkinkan terjadinya kelainan jantung dengan kemungkinan sebesar 50%. Sampel penelitian ini adalah anak Sindrom Down yang menderita kelainan jantung bawaan periode Oktober 2010-Februari 2014 di Poliklinik Jantung RSUDZA Banda Aceh berjumlah 67 anak dengan jumlah laki-laki sebanyak 35 anak dan perempuan sebanyak 32 anak. Dari jumlah tersebut, sebanyak 52,2% anak menderita kelainan jantung bawaan adalah jenis kelamin laki-laki. Usia anak Sindrom Down yang menderita kelainan jantung bawaan yang paling sering adalah usia < 1 tahun. kelainan jantung bawaan terbanyak didapatkan adalah jenis defek septum ventrikel, defek septum atrial dan duktus arteriosus. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif retrospektif yang dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan potong lintang yang menghubungkan variabel-variabel pada kelompok responden untuk melihat kelainan jantung bawaan pada anak-anak yang menderita Sindrom Down. The research was conducted in RSUDZA Banda Aceh to see congenital heart disease events in children with Down syndrome period October 2010 - February 2014. Total sampling technique was used. 67 cases of Down Syndrome were found, with the number of 35 male patients and 32 female patients. Of these, about 52,2% of patients were suffering from congenital heart disease with male number higher than female. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan teknik survei dengan wawancara menggunakan kuisioner terstruktur Tiap kecamatan diambil 25 orang responden sebagai sampel, responden dipilih menggunakan metode purpossive sampling. Kecamatan yang dijandikan sampel dibagi menjadi dua kategori yaitu, kecamatan dengan kategori kasus gigitan HPR tinggi (Telanaipura dan Kota Baru) dan kasus gigitan HPR rendah (Danau Teluk dan Pelayangan). Terhadap para responden diwawancarai dengan pertanyaan bersifat umum dan yang bersifat khusus terkait pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan responden di kecamatan dengan kasus gigitan anjing tinggi dalam kategori sedang (68%) di kecamatan dengan dengan kasus gigitan anjing rendah (60%). Sikap responden di kecamatan dengan kasus HPR tinggi dalam kategori baik (92%) begitu pula di kecamatan dengan kasus gigitan anjing rendah (98%). Tindakan responden di kecamatan dengan kasus gigitan anjing tinggi dalam kategori baik (52%) dan tindakan responden di kecamatan dengan kasus gigitan anjing rendah juga dalam kategori baik (92%). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar siswa jurusan IPA dan IPS serta perbandingan antara keduannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode diskriptif kuantitatif. Adapun yang menjadi populasi adalah siswa kelas XI jurusan IPA dan IPS berjumlah 198 siswa, terdiri 93 siswa jurusan IPA dan 105 siswa jurusan IPS, yang dijadikan sampel berjumlah 64, 32 siswa jurusan IPA dan 32 siswa jurusan IPS dengan menggunakan random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket, hasilnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji mann-whitney. Sesuai dengan hasil yang diperoleh ternyata siswa jurusan IPA memiliki motivasi belajar sebesar 87,5% hal tersebut memberi arti bahwa sebahagian besar siswa menunjukkan minat dan semangat dalam mengikuti proses belajar, yang ditandai dengan rasa senang berkerja untuk mencapai keberhasilan. Sedangkan siswa jurusan IPS memiliki motivasi belajar sebesar 78,1% artinya sebahagian waktu siswa dilakukan dengan kegiatan belajar, kurang tekun menghadapi tugas, dan dapat menyelesaikan masalah belajar tanpa harus belajar lebih keras, hal ini terbentuk karena pola pengajaran dan mata pelajaran yang dialami oleh setiap jurusan masing-masing.
